Burger was fantastic (took a half hour!), staff were very friendly, but slow. We got there right around lunch and they were already out of pulled pork which wouldn't have been a problem except the guy tried to make one sandwich worth of meat stretch into two sandwiches :-(I suggest you picking an "off" time to attend or expect to wait a very long time for your food.

I have to admit I haven't had the BBQ but their sides are amazing. Home cooking at its best. Some people just can't appreciate good southern cooking.

It's about average - nothing wrong it tasted good but there are other options in the area off the freeway. The desserts are fantastic and I have had several but what gave this 3 stars are two things:1. The menu is very confusing - I feel like I needed a decoder ring or had to grow up in Navasota to translate it. There are menus that you can hold, different then what is on the wall, different then on the whiteboard, and different from what the order taker has. This was not a one time thing I come here about once a month - the food is good.2. The service is subpar and you have to order from one person if its a special and another person if it is desserts or meat - very weird. I think I would have ordered more or something better but it is confusing. And who knows when you get the salad bar (which is quite subpar but still worth eating). Its clean and nice - lots of locals - just not very inviting.If you are hungry for ok bbq and good sides and do not want to explore the town - then go here It's reasonably priced as well.

I love good Texan BBQ and was quick to pull in while traveling through for lunch. Arrived a little after one and walked in to what appeared to be your typical BBQ set up. The menu is limited and unclear and the portion sizes disappointing. The slice brisket was good and moist and the sausage reasonably tasty but that was as good as it got. Even though it was just one, the sides had the look of old, dried out and scrape the side of the metal to get a serving one typically finds at 3 in the afternoon. Unlike many places, the sides were self serve in a steam table which is remarkably questionable in the days of COVID. Several of the options were gone but the trays not refilled for the new customers. BBQ sauce did not accompany the meat nor were you told it awaited you in a squeeze bottle on your table. The chopped beef was more of a sopped beef, precut and soaked in a tray of sauce rather than chopped fresh for the diner and sauced at their option. This is not one of the better Texas options. In fact, calling it mediocre is a gift.

The bbq is good but you gotta tell them exactly what you want. If you see a big slab of brisket you can bet you will not get a slice off of it but rather a remnant soaked in juice. They will then squeeze the juice out and put it in with the rest of the chopped brisket. The process will continue until you get a good remnant. Hamburger is good!

Excellent bbq from a super friendly staff. We are stuffed.Four stars only because they had only about 1/2 of the sides available that were on the menu. (The sides available were very good though.)

The chicken tenders, fried fish, fried shrimp, cowboy potatoes, Mac and cheese, hush puppies, and homemade chips were very good. Absolutely stop in and try those cowboy potatoes!

I don't know what is up with all of those negative reviews for this place. We ate there today and the food and service were great. Ambience is irrelevant when eating "fall off the bone" meaty pork ribs! It is cafeteria-style service! Brisket and chicken were also great!

Food was terrible. Sides are self serve and have been sitting out for hours. Had to throw away my dinner. Would skip.
