Came in for Mother's Day meal; my mom has an affinity for French food. I think it's okay at best in general. For this price point, I have high expectations so I will judge harshly. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated. Parking is $8 valet. Some of the tables had tablecloths while others didn't which I found odd. There were some flies around us inside the restaurant. Onto the food:French onion soup - worst version I've ever had. La madeleines is genuinely better. It should have a strong beef broth taste which was not present at all. It tasted bland and strongly of uncooked wine. Steak frites - steak was cooked well but overall bland and overpriced. The fries are weird to me because usually they're thin crispy fries for this dish. They also weren't particularly hot. Coq au vin - My sister enjoyed the crispy leg. The rest of the chicken was tender but the sauce was too strong and reduced. Crab cake - generally liked, comes with 1 crab cake that has jalapeño in it. Gruyère bread rolls - half a dozen for $9, burnt and hollow with a slightly sweet tasteOverall the food was lackluster, overpriced, and not worth it. We ordered a la carte but the preset menu was $125 per person! Ridiculous! If you want French food, I recommend Cafe Rabelais in rice village.

LOOK AT YOUR BILL. 2 stars is for what happened tonight. 5 stars for food though! Ordered a bottle of wine. Initially asked for a beaujolais but the server recommended a different wine. He pointed to it, then to confirm I pointed and dragged my finger along to the price go make sure I was OK ordering. It was $66. My answer was yes that's good if you recommend. Bill came.....wine was $129. Ummmmm what??? You told me it was the $66 bottle bring me the menu. Server the admitted I was right and said sorry. Then I guess to not look bad to the owners he said it was a different bottle and charged me $78. I said whatever. I was annoyed and knew he tied go pull some crap thinking we drank too much to realize and say something. Took the difference out of his tip. He knew what he did....admitted it. I won't be back. Don't take advantage of your customers!! Etoile is more expensive but better and have NEVER pulled some sneaky shit like that so if I want French food that where I will be going. Soooo irritating because I actually like this place but don't like being taken for a fool.

I have never had a bad meal here. Ever. And today was no exception. From the lychee mock tail to the escargot, watermelon salad, and French onion soup, it was all divine. Period. Service was excellent, place was beautiful.

Studewood and 10th valet available but street parking nearby - lovely and large outdoor patio to enjoy the fresh air.Pluses1. Kind and welcoming service2. Baked Brie yummy and warm inside the creuset pot 3. G and T and passion fruit capirinha great4. Rabbit and veggies very juicy and tender 5. Best double chocolate soufflé so fluffy and light the pastry chef came out to say hello and fill the crema inAreas to improve 1. Music is sporadic and random, unclear of the type of clientele who would enjoy it 2. Love to see and hear live band on the patio like a jazz trio someday Highly recommended for fine dining!

Nice place to have brunch. Service was good nothing special. Presentation of the dishes and food quality was excellent. Pricier side of cost, but I'm mainly here for the taste and if it's not worth it then it would be mentioned. Great place to try once for a brunch with friends.

Maison Pucha Bistro on a Saturday for Happy Hour. If you like oysters then this is the place for you. During HH the gulf oysters are $1.00 each and the east coast oysters are $1.25, the east coast oysters were from PEI when we ate there. We enjoyed the gulf oysters better as we thought they had more flavor and they were bigger. We had 11/2 dozen of each. We also had 1 order of beef empanadas, which is 2 empanadas during HH. Along with some lovely HH drinks. It was a Saturday around 4pm and the place was nice and quiet. The thing I found strange was that I order some crackers for the oysters and we got charged $2.00 for 10 crackers...LOL. The restaurant is nice and full of decorations. The waitstaff was nice and polite when we were there. When we were leaving around 6:30pm it was valet parking.

I came here with some friends to celebrate a promotion. I've been to this restaurant about 4 years ago for Houston restaurant week and remember enjoying the soufflé. I do want to bring some positive feedback for this restaurant since it does have some quality dishes and a beautiful atmosphere fitting for special occasions. Our server was Michael, and I saw that other reviews found him to be rude but that wasn't my experience at all. This restaurant is modern European, and if you ever dined in Europe the service is pretty consistent with the dining culture over there. If you're looking for a quick dining experience, this may not be the place for you as Europeans servers don't like to rush patrons and want their guests to really enjoy the dining experience. We arrived at 6:30pm and finished by 9pm on a Saturday. It was probably half occupancy dining that night so you won't have any issues with walk in dining. The food did come out pretty slow, but I didn't mind since I was catching up with friends whom I haven't seen in awhile. But once we saw the presentation of the dishes, everyone was happy. The coq au vin chicken was the best thing on the menu, next to the soufflé. My friends enjoyed their ceviche. Cesar salad, and duck. We tried the wagyu empanadas and those were tasty but I love Colombian empanadas more than baked ones but that's just my preference. The only con I would say would be that there is a private lot for parking where it can easily be self parking, but the restaurant charges $8 for "valet" so they could park your car not even 300 feet away. Such a cash grab as it used to be free. Street parking was not available until 11pm Monday-Saturday.Overall the dinner itself was very tasty and would consider going back!

Reserved the private room for my mom's 80th and had a wonderful time. The food was incredible with the ceviche from the seafood tower being a personal favorite. Everyone enjoyed their main courses and the desserts were delicious pieces of art. The staff, especially Israel, did everything to make my mom's birthday memorable for everyone. I highly recommend Maison Pucha.

Cute brunch spot with a fairly large selection of offerings. Came here to celebrate our friend's birthday and enjoyed some pretty delicious dishes here from the watermelon salad (off menu which we inquired about) to the ceviches. Good portions and they also have a happy hour menu (not a whole lot to choose from, however).Service was good albeit a bit slow. Overall, it was a good time.
