Main Bird Hot Chicken - Cypress

Went on their 2nd day grand opening. It was really good food and deal. Free slider and 50% everything else. They had a long line before noon (when they open on Sunday, but we only had to wait 20 minutes. The food came out pretty quickly and it was all correct and tasted good. I was afraid to get too spicy but the highest I went was hot (it wasn't hot.) I am super intrigued with cluck it (Carolina reaper). Also since they were having the 50% I should have gotten the milkshake!!!! Ugh I am so mad at myself for not trying it. They had a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake and a snickers shake that sounded awesome. Trying to not eat all this fried food and a huge drink dessert but I should have said Cluck it and gotten it!!!!

The grand opening wasn't that grand. We waited an hour to get our food which is ridiculous. I almost asked to cancel. There's a reason for soft openings, it's to work out the kinks, doesn't seem like they worked them out. The music was really loud in there we could barely hear the cashier. We were told we were part of the first 150 customers and would get free sliders. This is where their advertisement was misleading. It said 50% all day and free slider to first 150, it didn't say anything about free slider "with purchase". Nonetheless, we ordered because we wanted to try it out. They also charged us wrong and after waiting an hour for our meal took more time to correct the charge. We got the food to go because their wasn't any seating left. Food- Bird Wrap- Way too small of a chicken in a big tortilla wrap. It was disappointing. I felt like I was eating more lettuce/ranch than the chicken itself. Comeback Slider- didn't have any wow factor, sauce was okay. I wish it had more than one pickle slice.Cluck it fries- I liked this one, and think it would be a great dish to share, the portion size was big. I was disappointed ours didn't get much cheese, if you look at the picture there's barely any. Might try again later and see if customer service/wait time improves.

Was glad to see this open up in the Cypress area but unfortunately for a grand opening the wait/service wasn't up to par. You can't excite people and then when it comes the wait and the process is a drag. I understand grand openings restaurants need time to adjust and figure things out but that's also what soft openings are for. At least that's what I thought. I'm not sure the process it is to prepare the chicken for meals but I didn't think it would take over 45 minutes for a wrap, single tender and cluck it fries. There are about 4-5 people in the kitchen. I'm just trying to understand what's taking so long. Good customer service they would At least apologize for the wait and explain right?The vibe of the place is fine, music is good takes me back to high school but I think the volume of the music makes it hard to talk to each other when eating here and hear the cashier. Plan to check it out again to see if things ch age maybe in a month or two. Who knows

It's a mid chicken spot. There's way better competitors such as Urban hot chicken and Dave's hot chicken. Too expensive and the food is not that great.

I always drive by and forget about this place but today I was hungry The chicken was tasty and hot ‍I will be back

I do like main bird sandwiches and their crinkled fries. The sandwiches were good and filling. Buns were smaller , hence making the slider proportioned with meat. I've had sandwiches at other places with large size buns and minimal tender, making the ratio all off!!The French fries were golden, crinkled and tasty. The 2 slider combo is the best option that I go with. Order thru kiosk at counter. Ambiance is fine. Looks somewhat cool With its fluorescent lights etc. Some good jams were playing.

I called in to place an order for pick up. The guy that answered the phone said that it would be an extra $3 to place an order for pickup when I asked why he said "inflation" when I asked again for an explanation he took back his words and started laughing and said he was kidding. Take that how you will I call it stealing.

Food: 9/10 I really loved this place and have been a few times!! I usually get the Dirty Mac (Extra Hot Spice Level) with the comeback sauce (which is similar to canes) and it is basically waffle fries with Mac and cheese and hot chicken, it is so good! The spice level is not too bad, I would say "extra hot" would be medium spicy in my opinion-so the perfect amount for a little heat but not too much.Service: The staff is always really nice and attentive, and my order usually comes out in about 5-10 minutes, so pretty fast! I don't know why they have a medium rating, as everyone I talk to in person says they love this place. I think they just had a rocky start with the opening!Vibes: The vibe is pretty chill and there's usually some nice music playing. Really cool red neon signs/theme.

The only reason I give this place a 2 star and not 1 because their dirty Mack amazing but today I ordered MILD slaws and they both came out spicy enough to burn my throat I told the lady at the front she brought me another slaw and supposedly that was mild but when I tried the new one it was AGAIN spicy as hell and since I do eat at this place I know that their mild is not that spicy I'm just so upset with their service this happens often here with the spice levels

To start with I walk in letting the young know I'm new to this area, from NC. What would she suggest , she was very warm ,friendly and helpful , she made a couple suggestions. The concept of ordering from the counter machine was unfamiliar to me ,so the young lady help me. Now here is where issues started1. I'm placing my order, the cook who's stand in the window looking straight at me is dropping F bombs, something about cell phones. 2 I had placed my to to eat there, I received it a Togo box.3. I asked for my fries to extra crispy, they were loop warm and soggy. I was the only person in there for 15-20min,and I sat in my car for 10 min b4 going in.4. Because the young said she wasn't sure how much spice I could take, order it on the sides. The Spice was sprinkled all over the tenders.All the issues came from the kitchenGood note the Tenders were fabulous, crunchy, juicy and hot. Their comeback sauce is really good.They did start to get rush right when I left.
