Mahesh's Kitchen

This is in Sugarland downtown and I absolutely loved this restaurant. The ambiance is so chic, has a very nice fine dining vibe to it. They have a beautiful bar area and amazing decor/wall art. The menu is typical but well crafted - the dishes are made to perfection! It was a true sensory experience- the staff is literally waiting on you, hands and foot. I loved the whole experience. Definitely my top restaurant now in the Houston area!

Overall dishes were tasty but thought it was too pricey for what it was. We visited during Saturday dinner and it was quiet inside. The avocado bhel was a unique dish and had a unique flavor to it. We would have liked to try some more fusion options, but unfortunately they are no vegetarian options under the fusion portion of the menu. We ended up getting malai kofta and paneer tikka mirch with garlic naan. Both dishes were tasty but had a high price tag at $15-20 per dish. The location is inside the Sugarland townecenter so parking is in the garage inside the complex. I don't think I would return as Sugarland has so many other Indian restaurants to try.

Everything about our visit was great! The service and recommendations were spot on. My wife and I don't eat Indian cuisine often enough, so we needed a bit of guidance and we got some. All of the food was amazing. We had a couple of different curries. The garlic naan was, as everybody else mentions, addictive. You really can't go wrong visiting Mahesh's Kitchen. If you're even considering it a little, give it a shot.

Parking: This is a busy complex but there is a public parking right across the resturant. Ambience: This is a fine dine resturant and i loved it. Food: the food was great be it vegetarian or non vegetarian. Loved their reshmi kabab and chicken appetizers. Price: prices are reasonable. We were a party of 19 yet there were able to bring out food in reasonable time. Loved the place as well as the food. Highly recommended.

Beautiful restaurant, great service but the food is alright. The food was too modernize not authentic enough for me and, too pricy.

Forgot to take photos before eating but knew immediately it was Yelp worthy. One of the better meals we've had since moving to TX last year. Be prepared to pay a nice price (about $25 an entree, $6 for naan, $7 additional for rice).. but you be flavor was worth it. Offer 3 spice levels; everything was perfect.

Service was great! However there was too little chicken in my Byriani. 1 small wing and 1 small drumstick was all there was - and a huge bowl of rice and potatoes. Should have had at least 1 more piece of chicken. Maybe some cubed breast pieces too.Flavor was good too, but maybe a little heavy on the cinnamon for my taste.Ambiance is nice too.

Amazing restaurant! I have eaten at a number of Indian restaurants in the greater Houston area, and Mahesh's kitchen is one of the best, if not the best, Indian restaurants in the area. Incredible food, service, mocktails, cocktails, plus the restaurant is lovely. It is bustling with activity, but is not too loud or overwhelming. It really is such a wonderful environment and ambience.

Food and ambience was really good and I enjoyed dinner with my friends. It's a recommended place to go if you are an Indian food lover.

The food is overpriced for sure. Ordered biryani, there are three tiny sad pieces in it overall! With raisins!
