Best bakery in Houston. 10/10. The line out the door, even just two minutes after open proves the point.Amazing offerings here. The quality of each pastry item, is close to, if not exactly, perfection. There's not much of a dining room and I wouldn't expect high quality coffee here. But the pastry's are what you should go for.

My wife and I are regular customers for Magnol and this place is probably the best bakery in Houston (if you know you know). Absolutely loved the sugar brioche and the croissants. The almond croissant always gets sold out in the morning especially during the weekends so plan to come in early for them. We tried the flan and walnut cranberry bread and they were both delicious. There is usually a long line but there are staffs to help out w the checking and they are always very courteous. There is couple tables and inside and outside but I'd say its best if you take out because there isn't much room to eat inside. If you are in Houston, try this place!!

I've been told that this is one of the best bakeries in Houston, and I finally found the time to try it out. I came right at opening on Saturday morning and there was already a long line! The atmosphere and workers were so lively which was nice to see. The line moved fairly quickly. I got to try two different croissants, a lemon meringue tart, a chocolate chip cookie, a pistachio pastry, and artisan baguettes. My favorite was the baguette. I had it with fried eggs at home and it was delicious! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the other pastries were delicious and expertly made. The standout was the lemon meringue tart out of the sweet pastries. I highly recommend Magnol as one of the best French bakeries in Houston.

Great bakery with nice French desserts. Downside is the line on the weekends. They have a few indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are on the higher end for pastries, but I also know that it takes a lot of work to make. I love the lemon meringue tart and the cranberry orange breads was delicious. Even though it wasn't a sour dough, it still had a lot of flavor. If it's the weekend and there is a long line, then I recommend just going to Simply Coffie and to get the best latte in Texas while getting a lemon merengue tart - the pastries that they sell there are from Magnol!

Magnol is one of the best kept secrets but is slowly becoming more popular. It's located where you would least expect an authentic French bakery to be located. This place is always packed on weekends so be prepared to wait in line. I'd also recommend going right when they open because they sell out of their most popular items quickly, sometimes within the first hour. I recently learned that you can actually preorder online to save you time and also guarantee the items you want.I've been here about 4 times since writing the review and I'm a huge fan of all the pastries I've ordered so far. My 2 favorites are the chocolate almond croissant and the pain au chocolait, the former usually sells out first. Their plain butter croissants are also delicious. They have mini versions but not regularly. The pastries are flaky, buttery, and soft. They also sell gourmet desserts. I've tried the chocolate eclair which was delicious and not too sweet. Everything is made in house and you can see them being made next door. Happy to have found this place and would probably rank it as one of the top bakeries in Houston.

With raving reviews and convenient location close to home (N. Post Oak & Hempstead) I really wanted to love this place, but sadly that's not the case. Came here on a week day to avoid the weekend lines. Off to a good start, the interior is chic and bright, some seatings are available both inside and outside. The pastries and breads on display looked amazing. We picked out couple pastries to try out: caramel mille feuille, lemon meringue tart, Paris brest and strawberry tart. And here comes my disappointment... While the pastries look well made and are not overly sweet which I appreciate, there are no wow factor in the taste and texture of the pastries, and the overall quality is pretty similar to other chain bakeries/shops in town. The Mille feuille was not as airy and crispy as expected, we actually had trouble breaking it with our forks. To make it worse, we later found out (through chewing and unfortunately eating half of the parchment paper) there were actually a large piece of parchment paper left in the mille feuille (see picture). For a boutique bakery and the pricing ($7/piece before tax), I expected better quality control of the product. The pastries are definitely gram worthy, but if you care more about just taking a picture, this bakery is unfortunately overhyped in my opinion.

Prepare to wait on weekends, may be sold out of favorites. Well worth the wait. After having lived in France for 3 years (we go back every other year or so), I can confidently say these are the best available croissants in H-Town. Counter service is fast, they make great coffee - the secret is out. And yes, they're outside the Loop!! Rumor is they're planning another location. I challenge anyone to find better croissants in town. Please don't say Common Bond!

The best croissant in town! So buttery and flaky. They have great selections of bread as well, but that will be for another trip. The place is quite small for dine in hence most people just order to go. Staff are not rude by any means, but they are definitely not friendly. Most of the desserts we've tried were not overly sweet, which is something we prefer, but the star of the show is definitely the croissant, so be sure to try one in your next visit.

Disclaimer: There's little to no seating. This is not necessarily a place to sit down and study for hours or be for a long time. MAN it was busy for a Saturday morning. The door wasn't even open yet and there was a line out the door. But after trying their desserts, I absolutely get why. I have to spend more than $25 when I'm here as everything looks/tastes delicious! It is true to the name-it is a French bakery, and a good one at that. They have all types of French desserts and they are all so appealing. It is a bit expensive to your average joe, but I believe it is reasonable to the quality you are getting. GO EARLY-they run out quick because it has become a hot spot for Houstonians and visitors alike! The location of the building is really interesting as it's right in the heart of an industrial area. Coming again soon!

Croissants are still delicious but the wait time is insane (to order, to receive the goods, and checkout)! Failure to double check on my end but I also received chocolate croissants rather than the chocolate almond croissants I waited 45mins for. Also, my grandma thought the red and white checkered paper for the cakes were hamburgers... the inefficiency, details, and experience don't match the tastiness.
