The ambiance of this restaurant is pretty cool but borderline sensory overload lol. We had bright lights changing and mirrors, etc. I enjoyed it but didn't expect it. Everyone was so very nice, the hostess even helped my friend direct me over the phone because I was lost Our waiter was fun and gave great suggestions, plus he was very attentive. We were never looking for him and were taken care of very well. The Pato y Arroz was good but I don't think it was worth the price tag for what I got. The drinks were unique and strong, and the Huevos voladores was an interesting take on dessert. I think I'd try this place again with friends for drink and light bites but it is very pricy for what you get

This place is 5 star and just an overall exceptional experience. Food and ambiance is top notch. Great service and the trip to the restrooms was out of this world. I visit this place every time I'm in the Houston area. Keep up the great work! Matt

Mad about mad in a good way! The tapas are always a great way to start the menu. Fun atmosphere and the best paella. They always have great service and if you ask about the art you may just spot a Picasso or a Dali masterpiece.

Great service and nice ambiance. Drinks were okay but the gin & tonics here are stellar. Sad they removed the gin tonic menu. The waiters and service team did a phenomenal job checking up on us consistently throughout our meal. Food was good. I enjoyed the octopus and we opted for the large seafood paella platter ($296). Overall good food and experience. Churros was a great desert as well. Super soft and great texture. They even gave my son a small birthday cake for his upcoming birthday. Thank you Mad team for a great experience for my family.

The service here is superb! The waiters are all tentative to details and the scale is definitely high. I hope they enjoyed every last penny of the tip we left. The food had its up and downs. The innovation will not please a lot of people, but I loved how different this place is. The tapas are all acquired taste and I would always suggest to eat each one. The environment is dress to impress not too loud. Definitely a big step up from SoCal LA/ Irvine dining.

Amazing 12 course journey through Spain with a whimsical twist from MAD chefs and their admirably servers. They were kindly able to accommodate my allergies for the tasting menu and offer comparable alternatives. This was our second time here, and it was a great 12 course treat for my husband's birthday. There was so much good nay amazing courses customized for each of us and our dietary needs. It was so calm and quiet at the beginning of our 12 course journey and the ambiance definitely picked up as the courses continued and neared the end of our 12. I have been to Mad multiple times for HH, celebratory dinners, and this time a treat for hubsy. Mad never disappoints and their gin as well as their Spanish wines are top tier. I can't wait to find another reason to return!!

Bad food quality. Too pricey for happy hour menu. The happy hour tuna tart looks nothing like what's in the picture of the regular menu. It's in a very small round bowl with a huge amount of blood looking cream on top. Bad taste.

If you're looking for an amazing food experience, this is the spot. This has to be one of the best spots we have been to in Houston. The moment you walk through the doors and are greeted by the lovely host(s/esses), you are swept away with the theming of the restaurant. We had reservations and I always recommend making them, however, they didn't seem to be completely necessary (at least tonight). We had the privilege to be served by ERIC! This is our second time here and we made sure to ask for him. He made excellent recommendations, was attentive, friendly, and truly seemed to go over the top to ensure we had a memorable experience! Everyone is definitely friendly and attentive, but a big shout out to Eric (he is also bilingual which for us is a big plus). Food was incredibly delicious. The drinks were terrific. Overall we had such a great time and we definitely plan on coming back.Parking: there is valet parking which is very convenient but there is also street parking available if you get there early enough. Third option is garage parking. We were lucky enough to find street parking when we arrived at 5 pm on a Friday.

Highly recommend. Wife and I had a date night here and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I loved the Astronaut theme sprinkled throughout. The 2-top seats facing the kitchen kept the meal interesting, watching the cooks stoke their flames with a fan. They were a little "intimate" and close with the other guests, but it's not a large place so it is what it is. We had the Waygu on Toast, the Truffle Toast, Croquettes, Carbonarra....alll incredible. From the cocktail menu, the Cosecha Abudante was a winner!
