Great vibes, with great people. This place is good if you have a large group of friends. Went here on a Saturday night, was not too packed at all. Drinks were decently priced.

Lumen is one of my favorite nightlife joints in Houston. I've been coming here since 2012. Their Friday nights are epic. Great DJs, sound system, and light show. I love their staff and management. Tuesday industry night is also a lot of fun.

This place is trash. Shootings, your car will most likely get broken into. The security is a joke and the pictures on the website are a lie. This club brings in nothing but trash and it is becoming increasing unsafe for home owners, apartment residents and their patrons. There was a shooting last night and the shooter was walking up and down the side street with a shotgun. The police didn't respond for 2 hours while an active shooter was out. Neighbors have witnessed people coming and leaving the club breaking into vehicles on the side streets where residents and club patrons park. This club is nooooooo goooood and I'm being so serious . They really know how to give you the run around . Have you looking like a complete chicken with there head cut off . I'm really not pleased with my experienced there . They need to have a complete whole different staff. (1st) off me and my girl walk up to the bar. I try and order a gentlemen jack and coke nothing to out of the ordinary . The woman bartender says oh we have a brand new bottle in the back but I won't bring it out unless you buy a section . Pretty much telling me buy the whole bottle or the gentlemen jack wasn't coming out ... We start to leave cause by this point we are both alittle annoyed . My girl decides to speak to management before fully leaving . The manager re assures us that there is gentle jack for purchase with out buying a the whole bottle . He offered first two drinks on him . We walk our happy back inside the manager tells another bartender to serve us . He asks us what we want to drink and I said gentlemen jack and coke . This fool was like since I've been working here I have never seen gentlemen jack ....... At this point we are over it like seriously . We went from ohhhh you want gentlemen jack you have to pay for the whole bottle , to the manager telling us Na they have some for sell on the low , then it went to we don't have gentlemen jack at all . Period... Finally after alllll that BS they bring a bottle that's 3/4 almost gone of gentlemen jack . They poured us two drinks and we didn't even touch them . The level of disrespect, so much time wasted , and not to mention this ol dry club was empty !!!!! I hate to say this , but it felt like they didn't want my kind in there and when I say that's I'm Lesbian from head to toe . And that just ain't right . Money isn't the issue . Just don't come at me with all this nonsense . Serve what I ask for next time . Instead of wasting 40 minutes of my time

This is my 4th time here. I think is wrong to force a 20% tip on tbe bill. I did not realize it was lumen practice until i read the review. Valet parking is $60 and to park in the front, you hv to pay $100. They hv Latin music last night. Place gets crowded very fast. By midnight, there hardly any place to move. There are 2 dance floors inside and an outdoor patio. I do not know why tbere are complaints of tbe size, but if u compare to Belvedere, which is long and narrow, i would prefer lumen layout.

This place is openly, extremely prejudice. Last night around 10:30 my girlfriend and I came here for the first time. At the door, the bouncer asked us if we were there for a party or had bottle service. We weren't, so he had us stand behind the rope as if there was some wait to get in, and told us there was a cover. We said ok then he yelled out to the dude taking the money, how much is the cover, dude looked at us and said $10 each. We paid, went in, only to find this place was really empty with the exception of 2 people ordering bottle service, that we're drinking by themselves. N there were enough thirsty hoochies hanging around the bar, that bouncer should have known what the cover was, unless they weren't charging everyone, or were charging them differently. Hmm, how trifling of you. My gf (a sexy stud) orders her regular- Gentlemen's Jack with coke from the first stuck up bartender, see pictures. The girl tells her we only have 1 bottle of that and she's not going to open it unless it's bottle service. How entitled are you when you think you can talk to people like this? I turned around and left that trash at the bar. On my way out, I asked to speak with the manager, I explained what happened, he went inside to resolve the issue and invited us back in with the 1st round on the house. So we order from a second bartender, man bun. He tells us "as long as I've worked here, we've never carried that" so I tell him, well then go tell your manager that bc he doesn't know that. And he didn't, and asked us what else we wanted, I proceeded to tell him that his stuck up bartender told us they did have it, then in the middle of explaining myself, a third bartender, long blonde hair with the cheapest LV tote bag they sell, walking all behind the bar, wearing that bag out, cuts me off and tells me what the stuck up bartender ACTUALLY said and thought. Like she was there or something?! I told her real quick----can I finish?! So she shut up, rolled her eyes, and walked away. As I finished talking to man bun, someone brings out 2/3 empty bottle of Gentlemen's Jack and man bun makes our drinks. At this point I'm upset beyond words and tell my gf they just don't want us here, that's why they won't take our money and serve us. We didn't even touch the drinks and walked out. I'll never return and will see to it that this place and its terrible employees are held responsible for their discriminating actions. They act like they have something so precious and they are doing you a favor after you bothered them by ordering something! They are terrible!!! Get rid of them all, NOW! If you value your guests, and care how they are treated at your business, don't tolerate this type of hateful behavior! For someone to tell you to your face, that she has it, but she's just not going to open it for YOU is hateful and disrespectful! Then cut man bun for not knowing $h;t or lying to us about not carrying it. And lastly take busted LV tote bag with long blonde hair to the curb where you found her at! She's bold to think she was gonna cut me off, and tell me something when she doesn't know a thing! We are the paying customers that were being disrespected, NOT YOU! So stay in your lane or cover your face with that stretched, wore out Louie tote! In conclusion, f----orget this place. If you don't look like the pictures they have posted on their website or social media, then they don't want you or your money here. I will forgive this business and their ignorant, self entitled staff after they change and fire all these people involved and hire new staff, OR look forward to the inevitable closing of this establishment and send everyone where they belong, back home. I will never return and I ask that everyone whom supports LGBTQI+ rights, to boycott this place as well. If you support minority groups, don't come here, they don't support you or treat you like a person. ****CONSEQUENCES COMING SOON****

Definitely better places. This place has an odd floor plan and they partially block the dance floor view if you're hanging out near the bar. They have a few booths for VIP. Charged $10 to enter on a Saturday and it was dead inside. Ridiculous to charge when no one is inside. I've been here a few times and while it can get packed some times, I never have and never will like the way the place is laid out. This tends to be more of a Latin club but they mix hip hop in and rarely any kind of edm. I think there are better places to go. Id go back with friends but this is not a good place to hang out by yourself.

You want grown and sexy- this is the spot. The gentlemen are pretty nice and I don't recall paying for anything that night. We celebrated my friend La birthday and had a blast.

Zero , zero stars they charge u $60 to get in without letting you know , the bathrooms DO NOT WORK , im a women I pee ALOT , entrance lady said thats not her problem nor her concern to give a curtesy notice. Y la señor en el baño HORRIBLE !

No food service, dirty cups, terrible music, smells like weed, have to pay for parking, the employees will follow you all the way to the bank parking to even make you move. Not worth it. It's also a terribly empty club and i see why now
