4.5 stars. Meatball sandwich: the bread and sauce were good, but overall disappointing and we didn't finish it. The smashed meatballs are combined with Italian sausage and charred, and the fennel overwhelmed the flavor profile of the rest of the sandwich. Fries: very good, and at $3 very reasonably priced. Cream cheese and jalapeño kolache: ok, I guess. My mom liked it more than I did. Meatball kolache. Very good. I wish the sandwich used these meatballs. Brisket kolache: brisket from Blood Bros, and this, this is worth the trip and maybe five stars by itself if it was the only thing on the menu. Best brisket kolache in town now that you can't get them from Kolache Shoppe without eggs. Only cans of soda, more of a coffee and cocktails kind of place. Service was top notch and very friendly. The space is designed as a third place coffeeshop with bookshelves and miscellaneous foodstuffs for sale, but there needs to be a better division of space between customer lines and places to sit. We switched inside tables because it felt like people were hovering over us. The shopping center is a charming place with five or six food places surrounding an astroturf-and-trees picnic spot where kids can play. Will be back.

The moment you step in, you know you've landed in a good place. Beautiful natural light, a cool minimalist but trendy vibe, plenty of cozy seating, brisket kolaches and cream pies to greet you at the counter. Who could resist? The lady behind the counter was quite helpful when we couldn't decide what to order. From the Yelpers before me, the sandwiches were the fan favorite -especially the smashed meatball sandwich and the fried chicken and apparently there is a Blood Bros. connection since they sell Blood Bros. Brisket kolaches. So another lady came around while we were deciding, and mentioned one of their off menu specials- it was a steak torta sandwich with guac and jalapeños, with chips on the side. Sounded like a win win all around - and it was! The combination of jalapeños and guac just brought out the best flavors of the marinated steak. Loved it and would hope they add it too the regular menu. Overall, we enjoyed lunching at LuLoo's. It not only has a part of my last name, but it boasts some great sandwiches and also a nice plethora of a la crate options, for a grab and go type of lunch.

Delightful lunch today at Luloos. I had the chicken sandwich and homemade chips and hubbie got the brisket nachos. The chips for the nachos could have been better, but everything was solid. Our server was friendly and attentive. Outside was a bit chaotic with kids running around, but inside was chill with great music.

I've been wanting to try this place and I'm glad I stopped by. Inside there's seating from larger tables to small two seater, there's also a bar with beer and spirits which is great to have in the area. The staff was polite. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with fried okra. The chicken was moist, crispy just great. The slaw, pickled onions, and pickles were great accompanying the sandwich. The fried okra was great, you don't see it as a side option often. I would like yo return to try their selection of baked goods. They have sausage rolls, kolaches, and cinnamon rolls.

Omg soooo good! I was back at Stomping grounds and Luloo's had King cake and this grilled chicken ciabatta sandwich that was delicious!!! With a side of fried okra - wow! I can't recommend it enough! Also, the frozen sangrias are amazing! I love the staff here. They are so kind and helpful! It's super chill inside with clean restrooms. You must try this place! They make all their own bread!

I can't stop thinking about how much this place left me with so many thoughts. And not in a good way. There was so much left to be desired. My boyfriend and I ventured into the upper north side of the heights and we researched LuLoo's. We figured a nice Saturday brunch after a long week would be perfect. The area that LuLoo's is in, gives you a really great family vibe. When we arrived, there were kids everywhere playing in the courtyard. Almost that City Centre type feel. If you've been. We had just missed the lion dance just by a few minutes. Nice to see community supporting others. When we entered LuLoo's, there was a long line. We had just hit the lunch rush, so it was getting quite busy. From the owners of Blood Bros BBQ opening a quint breakfast/lunch, it felt like an honor to dine in. However the service and food was quite a disappointment. We were told that the kitchen was backed up and it would take about 30-40 min wait. Sure no problem, most places take at least that amount of time IF they are that truly backed up.We ordered a cinnamon roll in which it looked quite delicious from afar. But Oh boy was I incredibly wrong.Cinnamon Roll- pictures and looks in person were quite deceiving. The moment we took our first bite, it was DENSE. It was hard. It disappointed me in so many ways. I was looking for a fluffy, melt in your mouth, cinnamon roll. Instead, what we received was disappointment. It felt like 5 day old cinnamon roll that got so stale with fresh icing on top. This was supposed to hold us over until we got our food. For $6.50, it was not worth the price. Don't let the size deceive you. Turkey Club- for something so easy to assemble, it somehow took long enough to be in that delayed state. I will say this a light and refreshing Turkey club. The added sprouts gave it that special texture. My boyfriend and I both agreed that we liked this the bestCheese sticks- we're always looking for a good mozzarella stick and marinara plate. Though, no cheese pull, it did have that melt in your mouth feel. Unfortunately it was too salty. Fried chicken sandwich - overall, it's quite good, but not good enough for the long wait. There was not enough chicken, if you see from the cross section picture. I had gotten so full from the cinnamon roll that I had no desire to finish my half of the sandwich.French Fries- your good standard fries. not much to rave about. also a la carte. It took a total of 52 minutes from ordering, to receiving our food. I took a photo of the food spread and my watch showing the actual time. According to our receipt, we finished ordering at the cashier at 1:08. We weren't the only ones in the dining room waiting on our food. There were others as well. When I scanned the room and people watched, half the people who dined in were also friends of the owners. It's different when you know the people and come support vs when you don't know them. I loved that their friends came in to support and dined in. However, with the long wait time, and rock hard pastry, I felt quite disappointed for a place making a name for itself. Also, where are the prices on the menu? We looked up at the menu above the cashier and there are no prices. Surprise I suppose. Guess you'll find out when you get ringed up for your bill. Yikes. For $56.08 (tax and tip) for a total of 6 items to be received 52 minutes later...thats ALMOST a dollar a minute for 6 items. lmao thats a stretch but its funny. There was just so much left to be desired at LuLoos.

So excited about this spot opening up at The Stomping Grounds complex! Their main entrance is from the central courtyard, right at the front next to Himari. They have an awesome seating around out front, with lounge sofas that look super comfy (too cold today though!). They also have a side entrance on the 34th street side. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to see how packed it was! Already full of customers, and I just barely caught the last table when I sat down. Right now they are open for brunch, lunch, and happy hour. As the other businesses in the shopping center open, they plan to expand their hours to include dinner. Next to the register they had out some ciabatta samples, which was a cool way to get to try some of their baked goods. They also offer fresh bread for sale! Ciabatta, French baguettes, fresh large pretzels, and more. All of their bakery items look like a lot of love and thought was put into them. Today they had out Oatmeal Cream Pies, Caramelized Onion and Feta Tarts, Blood Bros Brisket kolaches, among other treats. Had to grab some to take home for tomorrow!Everything on the menu looks pretty tasty. I ordered the Turkey Club, which was great! I couldn't choose between the fries or fried okra (!) as my side, so I went with both and took home leftovers. It turned out to be the right call; both were crispy and excellent. Will definitely be back. Be sure to check this place out!

My buddy Kinjo-san always champions the local mom-and-pop businesses he likes. After seeing his numerous posts, I've been eager to try Luloo's for a while. I'm glad we finally got to gather with Kinjo-san, Irene, and Jay at Blood Bros Terry Wong's other venture at the Stomping Grounds. The open food hall concept with outdoor benches appeals to us because we prefer dining al fresco, especially when gathering with friends. The Brie and Ham we ordered was an excellent, tasty sandwich packed with smoked ham, prosciutto, melted brie, Granny Smith apple, dressed arugula, and dijonnaise on a toasted baguette. We shared a few bites with our friends, and everyone enjoyed it.Since it was Sunday brunch, I couldn't resist trying the "Breakfast on a Bun," which included a 44 Farms sausage patty, American cheese, sambal mayo, and a runny egg I specifically asked for. It's everything you want in a breakfast sandwich: full of flavor with a slight spicy kick that we all appreciate. I also had a side of crispy, fluffy fries that paired perfectly with the food. We're not familiar with the Garden Oaks area, but this spot is ideal for gatherings with friends and family, offering a variety of good food and drinks. I agree with Kinjo-san that we should support the neighborhood restaurants we enjoy, especially those run by kind people. We loved our visit to Luloo's; the food was delicious, well-portioned, and reasonably priced. Looking forward to coming back soon to try more items from their menu.

Another home run from Blood Bros. Classic staples with a unique twist, leaving you wanting more every time. Had the chopped cheese shawarma and son had the chicken sandwich. Came back for steak night on Wednesday's! 12-14oz rib eye was OUTSTANDING.
