Really great local dive. The food is cooked fresh. Very reasonably priced.I had the garlic shrimp which was served with rice and fries. Really simple, tasty food. The place is clean, with many booths and tables. Family owned and run. Our sweet server helped us choose our food items. Delicious food, served freshly cooked. Recommend!

I'm in town for a few days and just happened that i passed this place while driving around. I knew i had to try it. I love Peruvians food. I ordered the baked chicken with rice, black beans, and fried Yuca. The flavor was good for everything. The spicy green sauce is a nice flavor also. Gives the meal a little kick. It was a bit quiet while I was there. Music adds to the atmosphere. In all, the meal was good. Service was good. I could have used a little bit more of the beans and sauce. So I asked for a little bit more and got a whole order of black beans. Nice place.

I'm from Charlotte but I was in the area working and I stumbled upon Lucky chicken. I'm a big fan of Peruvian food and they did not disappoint. The half chicken with house salad and yuca fries... Amazing! I totally recommend stopping in.

I was staying in a nearby hotel for a conference and had a carryout dinner from Lucky Chicken on two successive nights. Because I wanted something other than the many fast food/pizza/sports bar options available nearby, I decided to make Lucky Chicken my dinner option on both evenings. The first night, I had the Lucky 1/2 chicken, with sides of (white) rice and (black) beans and a house salad. The chicken was very well prepared -- tender, juicy, and tasty. The second night, I tried the Chaufa Especial -- combination fried rice, including chicken, beef, and shrimp. I also had a Tamalito (tamale) appetizer on the side. The rice was quite good, and the portion was generous -- easily enough food for two people. I also enjoyed the tamale. The place itself is just a basic strip mall dining spot, but based on the quality of the food I'd encourage you to give a try. Service was not that friendly in my experience, though.

Second time that I've been here .... I gotta say that it was much better than I remembered. The first time was over 5 years and honestly I left I bit disappointed so that is the reason I never came back. The mental scars have healed so I decided to try again. I ordered the lomo saltado and the arroz chaufa special and they were both good. We tried the ceviche as well and it was also good. The papa rellena was not really that good in my opinion though. I am Peruvian and I know that Peruvian food could be amazing so there is still room for Lucky Chicken to grow. I will try again .... Not sure when but there are a couple other dishes that I would like to try. . We'll see. I'll report back.

I came in solo after work looking for something before going to a Hurricane's game. I've had a version of lomo saltado that I made myself so I wanted to try it by someone who knows what they are doing vs following a YouTube guy (food wishes)It was delicious and cooked up fast. I basically inhaled it with the side of rice. Very flavorful and the ingredients were great. Was pretty quiet in the evening but bet most of the traffic is lunch. I very much recommend.

Nice little place to visit. Service was a little on the slow side, but the food is on point. Would come back and try the other dishes on the menu.

Love the Paella and the Chaufa! So far, it's the best Paella I've had in the RDU area out of the 4 restaurants I've tried. Going to try these Tamalitos and see how they are.

I purchased a chicken sandwich and fries. Pretty easy stuff. Unimpressed with finding bones in my sandwich as I'm chewing up the sandwich. I didn't feel very lucky. Who leaves bones in a sandwich? Taste wasn't there either. The whole time I was eating this I was thinking of how chi filet never lets me down. Health grade was pretty low too. B maybe?
