Luce Ave Coffee Roasters has been on my coffee radar for quite some time, but just never got around to trying them out. I happened to have dinner next door and when I pulled up I saw they were next door. It was a no brainer to check them out for a nice after dinner and drive home treat. I came in the evening and the place was fairly busy. The shop itself is narrow but has plenty of seating and did not feel crowded at all. It seemed like the it spot in the neighborhood to get some work done as everyone had their heads in a screen of some sort. Customer service was ok. The person who took my order only spoke when spoken to and only offered assistance with the menu when asked. No biggie, I got the information that I needed eventually. Their menu has a lot of variety. They have your everyday classic options like espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. One of their featured items are the charcoal drinks. They also have cold drinks, teas and frozen drinks. I was curious about some of the signature drinks but that category had no descriptions of the drinks. I ended up with the Island Latte which was a latte with pandan syrup and coconut milk. Definitely very islandy. Once stirred and all the flavors were incorporated, that drink was absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste buds. The hints of vanilla from the pandan mixed with the coconut flavors made for a tasty sip. I usually say I would definitely come back here if in the area, but not this time. Word on the streets is they are opening up a location right in my neck of the woods in Pearland soon. Can't wait!

Great spot for coffee and it could be a great spot to study, but the wifi wasn't working for many sites I needed to access, like canvas. I was here in the early morning when it wasn't too busy. I usually get the black cloud latte when I go to Luce, but I wanted to try something new and saw the Luce blossom, which is a lavender oat milk latte with one shot of espresso. It was not overwhelmingly strong. It's a light, refreshing and sweet drink that I would get again for sure! Next time, I'd probably ask for less ice because by the time I was done drinking the latte, my cup was filled more than halfway with ice. Don't want to be paying $6.50 for a drink that consisted majorly of ice. Service is wonderful; the employee up front was super friendly and warm. They play nice music, adding to the ambience of this shop. There are more than enough parking spots around the building. If you're wanting to try something new, I'd recommend this place, as it offers high quality drinks & high quality service!

Nice little coffee shop with its own unique style. They have an "Island Latte" which of course I had to try. It's basically a latte with pandan syrup but maybe they figure most people don't know what that is? Not sure but I think naming it Island Latte definitely pique's the curiosity because I was sold! It was delicious and the froth game was on point. It had a nice amount of froth at the end. It was super flavorful, however it could have been a little hotter.I also had the regular croissant. I was a little disappointed in that it lacked flavor and was somewhat dry. They had other ones with fillings that I may try next time. I was interested in their charcoal menu. I've never seen charcoal infused coffee drinks before, so I can't wait to come back and try that!

Luce has easily become one of my "go-to" coffee spots in the city for it's consistency and it's convenience from a location standpoint. The Luce on Richmond is SUPER tiny, so it doesn't exactly invite you to want to stay, but the Luce in the Heights has two stories and is a COMPLETELY different vibe in my opinion. The heights location has a lot more parking available and is a much bigger space than the one on Richmond. I believe there is one more location, but I have not visited that one yet. On the weekends I like to study at the Heights location and hang out for a while. They have fast internet and a great section to study. I wish there was a couch or something, but I recognize this place is busy so that probably wouldn't be the best idea. I've tried many of their drinks including: Caramel Macchiato Island Latte White Mocha They've always been really accommodating for lowering the overall sweetness of all of these drinks and so far, I haven't found one I dislike. I'm more of a hot coffee drinker, so I haven't ventured into trying any of their charcoal drinks yet. Every Friday I try a new local coffee shop and I always find myself coming back to Luce, so this company is obviously doing something right.

Ordered black island and island latte at 50% sweetness. It seems these two are the heavily favored taste as per review. At 50% sweetness it's still a bit on the sweet taste, the pandan taste is still traceable in the black island but on the latte it's barely there except in the smell. Also ordered almond croissant, warmed up, gosh! It's super sweet , granted the taste is good. I wish the sugar is not so overwhelming and almost obscure the taste of everything. Service is not bad, the guy almost forgot to mention the 50% sweetness, I wonder if I would have had a syrups coffee instead. In addition to pastries this place also sells tacos, yes! Tacos!

Grabbed a lemonade and a caramel macchiato , and both were great! My latte did what it needed to do! Now, my apple turnover I could have done without. It wasn't bad by any means, it was just okay. I love the innovative drinks they have on the menu! Not a lot of seating in here, so more of a grab and go place in my opinion.

Luce on Richmond Ave is hands down the best coffee shop in Houston. Outstanding baristas that brew the best Cortado and Spanish Latte in town. They also have a great selection of Pour Over coffee, which is hand brewed with great care and passion. You can feel the love in each cup.Thank you Luce!Sunjoy

Oh Man, we love this place!! I've tried the Spanish latter (nothing special as it's expresso and condensed milk), as well as the black island (pandan with charcoal) and island latte (pandan without charcoal). I feel the island island tastes more strongly of expresso as the charcoal grittiness takes over some of the expresso flavor but overall still very good coffee! I also love that they have a reward system so for every 10 drinks, you get $7 off. FYI, I tried replicating this pandan coffee at home and let me just say...it truly isn't the same! It's unfortunate I have to keep coming back to spend $7 on coffee (half full if no ice btw as it's portion based already) and yet I can't stop, haha. I wish I knew the secret to the pandan!!
