Los Panchitos

We've followed Los Panchitos for more than 20 years and still love them as much today! The food is consistently good. (My favorite is the Chicken Soup!) The staff is always attentive! The laid back atmosphere makes this our go-to for a low-key, quiet dinner.

The best Mexican food restaurant in Huntsville. I've been going to school here for 3 years and come here nearly every Friday and have never been disappointed by the staff, food, or ambiance. The owner is incredibly friendly and hilarious. I have no idea how it isn't the most popular place in Huntsville. Very affordable margaritas and meals, it doesn't make any sense.

I used to love to come here, it was great service, food and drinks. However I'm not coming back. We went there to eat yesterday. We sat down and waited for someone to take our drink order. The waitress took our order, right before the stale chips and salsa arrived. I wasn't to worried about the stale chips as we were ready to order. I told the waitress " we are ready to order", she held up her finger and said " one moment". In the meantime someone else was seated and served with the chips and salsa immediately. Same waitress, btw. The food was very good, we had some meat left and I asked for a to go box . She brought the box and ran off again. I said excuse me miss, she turned around and was yes? I said may I please have a to go drink? She said sure. Sitting there almost for 15 minutes, we got up and started to walk to the register. In the midst of that she had a small drink container that she sat on a small table . I asked her that we needed the bill. She tried to hand me the drink and said that's your to go drink. I said that's not the correct size and asked for a bigger one, which she denied. Needless to say, I didn't take the drink. Walking to the register, the waitress started speaking Spanish to the girls standing there. I understand a little Spanish, so I intervened in their conversation and asked can I please just pay and leave? The waitress had talked trash out me not accepting the drink, so one of the girls said , this is the correct size, let me show you. I just replied don't worry about it , I know that's not the correct size as I've purchased to go drinks from here before. The girl ringing us up slammed the pen and the ticked for me to sign on the counter, I signed. I was waiting the my receipt, she looked at me like, now what? I asked may I please have my receipt? She put it on the counter. I picked it up and we left. Very bad experience!

I really enjoyed going here. They are a good value for the money and the food tastes good. The waiter remembered us the second time we came here and they have taken care of us. This is our new go to Mexican food restaurant.

Very good. The chicken enchiladas are superb. I ordered the Manny Special (which had one chicken enchilada), my buddy ordered the beef fajita enchiladas. The beef fajita enchiladas were rather plain, but decent. The Manny special had some bacon wrapped chicken that was stuffed with I believe cheese and spinach. It also had some stuffed jalapenos. The Spanish rice and refried beans were above average. I wasn't a big fan of the salsa, and my bacon wrapped chicken was overcooked, but the food was tasty. I recommend the Manny special, it's inexpensive, and has a variety of flavors.

I'd had a hankering for both a chile relleno and some flautas. I couldn't decide between the two, so I ordered the chile relleno dinner with one flauta a la carte, just to see how it tasted.Now I have to say that I'm getting a little sick of places getting my orders wrong (I always order to go when I'm on a business trip), and this is exactly what happened at Los Panchitos.The chile relleno was supposed to come with beans, rice and tortillas. When I got back to my room and opened it up, it was just a chile relleno by itself. No beans. No rice. No tortillas. Mind you, I was charged the full price, it's not like the cashier got the order wrong and wrote it up as an a la carte item. Super disappointing, and there's no excuse for it, considering the place was empty, it's not like they were slammed with customers. I figured the kitchen probably got confused by the a la carte flauta I ordered, and assumed I wanted the chile relleno a la carte as well.So, how was the chile relleno? Not great. The sauce was really weird tasting, like some kind of odd combination of Mexican salsa and sweet spaghetti sauce. I ate it because I hadn't eaten all day and was super hungry, but it was just really bizarre tasting.Now the single chicken flauta I ordered was another matter. It was delicious. If I'd ordered the flautas dinner, this review probably would have been very different (providing they didn't screw up my order). But I can only go by my actual experience, which was pretty sub-par.With so many better Mexican options in Huntsville, I can't imagine I'd ever return to Los Panchitos.

The best mexican food in Huntsville. Food always comes out fast and hot with big portions. Service can be slow but the food makes up for it!

Had the tostados mariscos. Best ceviche tostados I've had in a long time. Jackie was my waitress and she took great care of me while I was in the restaurant. Highly recommended!
