This place has great food! The staff are always welcoming. My family loves the chips and two types of salsas. Very chill atmosphere tucked away in a little strip mall in The Woodlands!

Two of us came at 11AM for an early lunch as they were setting up.Chips and Salsa and Avocado Salsa (Complimentary)Chips came out warm, crunchy, and not super oily. Tasted like they were just fried within 30 minutes! Salsa was standard. The avocado salsa (I'm guessing that's what it was) was a bonus and pretty good. Was nice to see them put a little extra effort for the guests.Ceviche Clascio ($14.99) - 4.75/5One of the better ceviches I've had! Tangy, plentiful, great value; the only ding was that the fried tortillas it came with were a bit too oily. Felt like old oil.Beef lunch special fajita ($15.99) - 3.5/5Mixed bag.Pros: great flavor, decent quantity despite it looking small, yummy tortillas that taste like corn but textured like flourCons: Steak a bit overcooked, they forgot the guacamole, rice, and beans until after I was half done, and only comes with three tortillasLunch meal with enchilada verde and chicken fajita enchilada ($11.99) - 4/5Standard two enchiladas with rice and beans. Great quantity for $11.99. Exactly what you'd expect.Definitely would come back for the ceviche and they have a large enough menu to try other things.

Stepping into this vibrant eatery with a friend, we were immediately swept up in the lively energy that filled the air. The place was buzzing with activity, a clear sign that we were in for a treat. Amidst the cheerful chatter and clinking of plates, we eagerly anticipated the gastronomic journey ahead.Opting for the fish tacos was a decision I certainly didn't regret. The melding of flavors in each bite, from the perfectly crafted homemade corn tortilla slaw to the refreshing lemon crema, was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The freshness of the ingredients truly shone through, making it a delightful experience for my taste buds.Meanwhile, my friend opted for the cheese enchiladas, a choice met with pure satisfaction. Paired with queso beans and rice, the dish showcased a perfect balance of cheesy goodness and hearty sides. Her enthusiasm was evident with every compliment she showered upon the chef.Nestled in the heart of the Woodlands, this establishment is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven. The bustling atmosphere and the exceptional quality of the dishes make it a must-try for anyone in the area. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this gem for a memorable dining experience that goes beyond the ordinary.

The service was good, the food was fair however the place is falling apart. Holes in the wall where the tile has fallen off. Holes in the floor where again tiles have broken, creating terrible trip hazards to women with heels. The entire place had a feeling of broken down disrepair. I shutter to think about the condition of the kitchen.

Why 4 stars? Because everything was prompt and friendly. --- --- ---My wife and I was with our son at the Children's Museum in the same plaza. We had plans to eat somewhere else for dinner, but my wife called an audible and wanted to eat here. While our son was running around in the museum, we each took turns walking around the plaza, and we both remarked on how amazing Los Cucos smelled when we walked by it. Those smells ultimately lured us in.We shared chips and queso, and fajitas for two. What struck us the most is that our food came out insanely quick. Like, "there's no way this could be humanly possible" quick. And we noticed a lack of smoke coming off the fajitas, as is customary, which led us to believe that they had already been cooked and were just sitting under a heating lamp. They kind of looked that way, too. But they tasted better than they looked. And the queso hit the spot too, especially with the deep fried chips that accompanied it.Our server was awesome: super friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly attentive. To be honest, the food was in between a 3 and a 4 star rating for me, but the service rounds up the cumulative experience to 4-stars. It's a convenient restaurant for people in the neighborhood, but I'd probably opt for one of the 497 other Tex-Mex spots next time.

Los Cucus is always been a staple in The Woodlands. Great salsas and chips, fresh food and super good drinks. The service is top notch, no empty glass and we are very good about separating tickets for groups. The decor is traditional Mexican and the restaurant is always clean inspite of the crowd.

Los Cucos is a definite must visit Mexican restaurant in the Woodlands! The overall experience there was fantastic! The service was excellent, the food was delicious (and not greasy) and the dining area was well maintained, clean, and busy. We came here with recommendations fromfriends. Yes, there are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area but we were informed that Los Cucos had excellent food for very friendly prices. I concluded that their recommendation was good. We were greeted and seated rather quickly, even though the dining area was busy. *From the outside, the restaurant doesn't look that big but once you get inside, there's a pretty generous dining area. Soon after being seated, we were immediately greeted by our waiter who brought us drinks, chips and their fantastic salsas. The menu has quite a selection of items to choose from. It is very user-friendly, in the sense that there are photos for each of the foods listed on the menu. I have friends and family members that really appreciate a visual reference for each of the foods. After we ordered our food,it came out relatively quickly and were perfect portions! All of the food was fresh, handmade and most importantly not greasy. I've been to too many restaurants where you are left with a pool of grease but the food here was prepared in authentic Mexican style and was absolutely satisfactory! The spices and sauces tasted authentic and not too much salt, making the meal really enjoyable. The staff here is wonderful and attentive! They really do excel in service which makes a big difference when you're paying for a meal out. They were professional and courteous! In addition for the adventurous, Los Cucos also has Karaoke on Tuesday nights. I give lost Cucos two very big thumbs up! They work hard to provide a great dining experience which includes great service, excellent food and a wonderful ambiance! I definitely recommend Los Cucos for a Mexican meal out!

Casual dinner at the Los Cucos tonight. The food was fresh and the service was excellent not sure if I like their house made salsas though. This used to be my go to spot with friends back in the day. I still think it's great just not the best Mexican choice around

We have enjoyed delicious meals at Los Cucos for many years. Tonight was no exception! We ordered 2 house margaritas (the best around) and the grill specialty Parrallada for one.It included fajita beef & chicken with grilled onions, topped with tomatoes and mushrooms. Also, there were 2 bacon wrapped shrimp, sausage, and BBQ ribs. All the meat was incredibly delicious and super tender. It's accompanied by charro beans, rice, guacamole, Pico, and tortillas. Generous portion that we shared, and still took home leftovers. Our favorite servers are Gato and Norma. All the staff give great service and are very attentive. Los Cucos is our home-base favorite Mexican food restaurant and has been the scene of many great celebrations. They have catered many parties for us, too.

I would never visit this location in my normal routine but it was my mom's birthday and we weren't too far. She wanted a margarita and it was margarita Monday so why the hell not! Unfortunately that margarita was the most disgusting one she's ever had. I had mine mixed with strawberry and could barely stand it and I'm a real drinker. My mom treats herself to a margarita every blue moon but has drank enough to know what they taste like. Since it was happy hour, we also ordered a few appetizers. They were okay. We sat at the bar and the bartender wasn't the friendliest but after I asked if they did anything for birthdays, he did bring my mom some sopapillas. So shout out to him for that even though they weren't good and she only took a bite of one.
