Los Carboncitos

Landed in Denver late and was craving some tacos. Stopped by for takeout and ate at the BnB. Got asada tacos and a bunch of alambre. Can definitely say it hit the spot. Very good. 8/10 only thing I would change is they drink selection and salsa needed to be a bit spicier.

By far the best Mexican food I've had in Colorado (coming from someone who has lived in LA)! Most of the staff is super friendly and patient. The bar seating has great ambiance and their micheladas are massive! Also some of the best horchata I've had.

I cannot speak much as to the vibe and service since every time I've had Los Carboncitos has been for take out or delivery.However, the food always delivers at a pretty reasonable price. Every time we order it, we have a good experience!

I was looking for a quick dinner and ended up at Los Carboncitos. I ended up ordering take out and ordered a torta, tacos, and soup. Everything was amazing and I've been coming back often especially for their taco Tuesday deals!

I have been here a few times but today was certainly the last time. The first few times were okay which is why I came back. The food was not amazing but it was pretty solid with reasonable prices and a low key vibe, perfect for a chill Mexican night. The last two times the service has gotten progressively worse. At the end of our meal we just sit there watching the waitresses talk to each other by the bar until about 30 minutes later they finally come by to close us out. Today the steak tacos where super tough and chewy, the queso which we got for the first time today was literally like melted mozzarella with some mediocre chorizo.. not at all like traditional queso. An absolute hot mess. Today we came in for a date night and the table next to us (which was a table that was also located smack in the middle of the restaurant) had a person experiencing homelessness who was allowed as customer, he was by himself eating dinner out of a takeout container while almost falling asleep, face super close to the plate, eyes closed for 10-15 min at a time and then he would perk up and eat a little. He was definitely high and it wasn't weed. We felt so bad for this person. I was on edge the entire time, concerned with the possibility of volatile behavior from a man who clearly was not doing well. My opinion is you should do takeout if you must try this place.

I have been away from Denver for extended years. Last night I went to Tacos Jalisco and ate sub par food. My friend says...Los Carboncitos is the bomb....darn right! Great food...crispy carnitas....friendly staff. I literally dropped my review of Tacos Jalisco because this place makes them a joke.

... no. Just no. This place gave me the worst stomach ache whenI woke up in the morning. And you know what also accompanies that... (I won't go into detail.)The fish taco... gross The bistec (steak) is just ground beef. The service is sooo slow it hurts my soul. Giving it two stars because our waitress was pleasant.

Had shrimp burrito was nasty. Fake shrimp & some weird Lima bean looking items inside.

Street Tacos - 5 stars (def in my top 5 places for street tacos in CO)Taco Tuesday - 4 stars ($1.99 for only some meats not all but prices are very reasonable)Chips & Salsa - 4 stars (5 different salsas that come with the complimentary chips, but all except 1 are very spicy) Location/Interior - 3 stars (charming outdoor patio, basic interior but a little cramped, extremely high noise level when full, and no lot/only street parking)Service - 5 stars (attentive & welcoming)Though they have an extensive menu, we've only had the tacos so far. But that's a testament to how good those tacos are!

The food was amazing, the service was so fast and kind! We sat outside and a couple near us decided to feed an eager squirrel (who then approached us). That was frustrating but not on the restaurant. The outdoor area is very cute. Prices are good, I recommend the jalapeño cilantro marg.
