Los Abuelos Mexican Grill

I didn't love it and I probably wouldn't return. It was fine just not great. They're just several problems that I had and I guess it started with the chips and salsa. The chips were super hard. It wasn't even like they were stale because you know stale chips taste like brittle cardboard but that wasn't it. These were just straight up hard for some reason. I suspect since they give you multicolor chips that they don't make them in house and that's probably where it comes from. The meal itself had a generous portion and the prices weren't bad. They also had good options for lunch but it all just lacked a certain flavor and complexity of flavor you expect even from even basic Mexican. With cheese dip you expect the milky briny salty fat flavor and honestly just tasted like thickened milk. The chicken inside the burrito was super dry and the rice while having a good color didn't really have any of the flavors you expect like tomato, corn or chicken seasoning that you might expect. The place was super crowded but they were pretty fast with everything. Had a good special and good price but overall the food just wasn't good enough for me to return.

New restaurant in a newly updated complex next to Krogers. Plenty of parking space. Nice seating arrangement, tall ceiling giving a great feeling of openness and nice ambiance. Lunch order was so quick. Loved the chips and salsa before the food. They offered to take the drinks in fresh go-to glasses. Grilled chicken fajita was made very well. Not too spicy, or mild but tasteful. Fresh guacamole and lettuce, rice and beans with the choice of corn or flour tortillas. Very nice and enjoyed the lunch a lot.

Let's just say that the positive reviews here are misleading. The food is overpriced for what you get. We were served dry and stale food. The quality is not great for the price-- the chicken and steak seemed to be the cheapest cuts available, yet they charge a premium.They automatically added a tip without providing adequate service. The server never asked if we needed a refill or anything; we had to request chips ourselves. The combo meal was especially disappointing--the burrito was just a huge tortilla with only shredded chicken inside, no toppings, and it was covered in enchilada sauce, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. I returned my food.The kids' meals are not worth the price either. The cheese quesadilla was cold, and part of it was covered in enchilada sauce, suggesting it had been dropped into another dish.Overall, I will not be returning. Please take the five-star reviews with a grain of salt--they likely haven't experienced truly great Tex-Mex or authentic Mexican food. Additionally, the service was extremely slow, and our server didn't check on us at all and took her over 20 minutes just to bring the check and I had kids with me!

Not a great experience at all. I love Mexican and was very excited to try this place as I love the one in John's Creek but was highly disappointed with this one and the way our experience was. It was way overpriced, the food was not great compared to the Los Abuelos in Johns Creek and it took forever with no care from our server. Take the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt, there is much better affordable local Mexican around us. No need to spend $70 for two drinks, a cheese dip and one appetizer with terrible service and eye rolls.

Fun TexMex chain in Marietta. Clean, colorful, plenty of outdoor and patio seating, and excellent service! Burritos, fajitas, enchiladas and tacos. Tasty and fresh but could use more heat. Good beans and decent rice accompany most meals. They do offer four options that the menu referred to as authentic Mexican fare and I plan to try on my next visit!

We've been wanting to try this place ever since they opened and finally got to check it out. We came here on a Tuesday night and I was surprised to see it so full. We started off with their Los Abuelos queso dip. While it was delicious in flavor, the consistency could've been a little thicker. It was way too runny for my liking. For our entrees we ordered their enchiladas verde and one of the combos. I liked the fact that you can order combo any time of the day and it's not limited just to lunch. Portions were also generous. We would definitely be back

Michelle was literally the best server EVER!! She was so nice, super attentive, even made balloon animals for the kids!! She really made our experience super special. The food was also delicious! I got tacos Al pastor. A friend had the chicken quesadilla, and another friend got the salmon tropical. It was a wonderful night. We were able to eat outside on the patio, which was light up nicely at night. The inside is super cute too.

The food was good but the service and atmosphere were terrible. This is the loudest restaurant i have experienced. I was in town for a business conference and went here with a colleague for dinner. Could not hear each other talk due so much ambient noise. Took a very long time between seeing a waitress, getting a drink order, food order and very long wait for ticket. My party of 2 took 1 1/2 hours to get in and out the door. Restaurant was only half full. Food was above average so next time I would probably just get it to go and skip the dining experience.

Tepanga did such a great job at providing a fun and welcoming experience! She gave great recommendations to us with the queso, guac, and corn trio.The food was absolutely delicious. 5 stars go out to the kitchen staff as well for how well they made the food! Definitely coming here again!
