Lone Star Taco

We are at the hotel across the street from restaurant. Just had lunch and the place is very clean, fast service and delicious food. The menu is simple. Not too spicy but the jalapeños were great.

Lone Star Taco is located in the middle of downtown Houston. Pop in after you find that long line running out the door at Chipotle across the street. I was forewarned and also found that the tacos are on the greasy side. But the queso is the best I've had in downtown Houston; the queso makes it worth making this spot your cheat day. I ordered the sampler and queso and chips. The sampler comes with a handful of chips and drizzle of queso but it doesn't do it any justice. I say go for the bowl. The sampler includes adorable mini tacos for those of us who can't make up our minds. The restaurant is a bit on the warm side, floors were a bit sticky, despite the smell of cleaning product (not my fav but better cleaning product than other smells).

A wonderful cute little eatery inside a big business bldg. You order then you sit and they bring it to you. Very nice lady helped us. The food was delicious. It's not a large amount, a small breakfast burrito but good for the price!!

Got food to go for in-laws who were tired after a walk around the downtown.Got chicken tacos and dynamite queso. The queso was great, the chips were ok and so were the tacos. The spicy salsa was really nice.Their ambience is great and I wish I had the time to sit down for a margarita, may be next time.Good in a pich, but there are better places around if you have time on hand

Was staying in downtown Houston and looking for a quick lunch spot...and stumbles across Lone Star Taco a few blocks from my hotel.They have a wide election of tacos, a few burritos and nachos. I opted for a couple of tacos from the all day breakfast menu...went with egg bacon and cheese and jalapeño cheese sausage, egg and cheese. Both were good but the sausage was exceptional. Comes with some red and green hot sauce...delish. About $10.50 for 2 tacos , soda and a tip...not a bad deal!

Great food and service. Don't have a pic because the tacos I had the pleasure of tasting didn't stand a chance against my eye and stomach. Prices were raised due to high volume. Would come back on another downtown day!

Arrived early for breakfast tacos on a weekday. It was empty, clean and the staff was so friendly. I got the Royal Flush taco on a flour tortilla (because I was craving a brisket taco when in Texas!) and the Dallas Special on a corn tortilla. Service was quick, portions were great for a quick brekkie. Flavor overall good and I'd come back another time when in HTX!

Came here for the first time to grab a quick bite with some tacos to-go. I ordered the Maui Fish and the Alamo. Both were recommended by the staff along with several others. Both tacos were very flavorful and delicious. It was about 6inches long. Overall, still a bit pricey for tacos, but once in a while when you feel like spending a bit more, it's definitely worth it. You have to order at the cashiers and they give you a number so they can deliver your food to the table. Staff are friendly and fast. Restaurant bar is pretty large with quite a bit of tables and chairs. I didn't see any street parking, but I'm sure it has a parking structure in whatever building it's located in. Sorry no pictures of the food.

I order the following: - 1 El Pollito - 1 El Vaquero - 1 El Picadillo - 1 Lone Star Margarita The Lone Star Margarita is HUGE!! I literally laughed when the bartender brought it out. Everything is big in Texas. That was not an understatement. Everything was delicious!!! I'm so glad I stopped by here

Looking for a quick bite by the hotel and stumbled upon this spot! Overall really impressed with their selection and fullMenu no matter the time of day is great! They also have a bar, but it was 10 am so no drinking for me.The service was quick and friendly, their restroom is in the lobby of the building but not terribly far of a walk. We did have a mix up with our order but they fixed it with no hassle.
