A favorite of mine for solo dining, LoKal will forever hold a special place in my heart as I've been coming here since they first opened. Dare say I, they were the first place (at least that I remember) who made burgers cool again. I have to admit though...I'm very predictable when coming here and rarely stray from ordering their classic burger. But I can't help it! They do a classic burger right with all the toppings a classic burger should have. That's not to say that I haven't tried their most popular, which is the Frita by Kush. Also delicious if sweet and savory is your thing! Other favorites of mine include the tomato soup and grilled cheese, and REST IN PEACE, the West Grove Salad whom is no longer with us. On this day, I enjoyed a quiet meal at the bar. It was on a Saturday before the dinner rush and after the lunch one. As usual, the service was great and my waitress did a solid by recommending the Pilsner pictured after I told her I wanted something light but not what they had on draft. This is something I love about LoKal and is always consistent--the staff is able to recommend beers and often let's you sample them too.Overall, LoKal is the place that comes to mind when I think of a delicious burger. The vibe is casual, the staff is nice, the food is tasty. Must try in the grove!

What used to be one of my favorite local joints has clearly forgotten who to take care of---- their customers.I came here last week with a group of 7 for dinner. All locals grovites. It was early, around 5pm. Only one other patron sitting at the bar.We quickly learned not one of their wines in the menu was available, nor were many of the listed beers. Apparently they are shifting to organic wines, so we followed them into look at options since not one was on a list. The entire wine selection is being stored in a hot, muggy room, not cooled and not refrigerated AS IS REQUIRED to store any wine- organic doesn't change that, My girlfriends and I tasted them and everyone was disgusting. Completely ruined from being stored in the heat. I said I'd buy wine down the street at vineota, since the only choices at LoKaL were completely not drinkable.I purchased 2 bottles for my group of friends, both screw off to make easier, and one of the guys in our group chose an off menu beer- for $25!!! When I sat back down, the server told us her manager is making her charge $30 for corkage! Are you kidding me?!?! Obviously we asked to speak to the manager who was hiding out in the back. When he appeared, he stuck to his position despite that we pointed out we tried to order from the regular selections listed on the menu- none were available. Then we TRIED the options they had, but 100% were soiled from being stored in a hot non-refrigerated room, but he stuck to the $30 PER BOTTLE corkage fee. Well... that is not how you treat loyal customers when it's your establishment that has the issue of not offering customers wine that is drinkable. I've come here for YEARS but I will not return again. Big mistake Locka. You forgot who made you successful. We did- your local customers of many years. You should know better than to bite the hand that fed you. Join me in boycotting LoKaL until and unless they shape up and return to the friendly customer service we once enjoyed here.

This was our first time at LoKal Miami so we had to start with the alligator bites and fried pickles, and they were perfectly crispy and tasty! My husband got the "Frita by Kush" burger, and I had the "Farm Chicken Sandwich"--both were delicious. The vibe was chill, and the service was great. We really enjoyed our time and definitely recommend it!

I've been coming to LoKal for quite a few years. The burgers neverrrr disappoint. The staff here is friendly, and the service has always been great. Their selection of beers is always pretty interesting too. This spot is cute and trendy, great for some casual lunch/dinner. This time my boyfriend and I decided to try the Chick Chop Sandwich and the Shrimp bowl with bang bang sauce. The sandwich was tasty, but it had way too much thyme. It overpowered the rest of the sandwich. Fries were delicious, and paired with their homemade honey mustard they're perfection. The shrimp bowl was also pretty good, but I did think the portion was a little small for the price. I don't think I'd order these items again. It's probably best to stick to the burgers, which are in my opinion their staple menu items.

My local burger spot in the Grove, been coming here for years. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, inside has some cool retro decor. The food is tasty, they also have decent craft beer options. It has gotten pricey over the years, but so has everywhere else. If you're ever in the Grove and want a burger, this is a place to go!

Came here for dinner with my friends after the beach. 8:30pm reservation. We were seated around 8:38pm. Our waitress was prompt, taking our drinks, appetizers and entrees all at once. I ordered a mint lemonade and the classic burger (no onion, no tomatoes) with truffle fries. The mint lemonade was FIRE! Like I could have taken a jug home good. Refreshing and flavorful. The burger was ok, nothing to rave about. Truffle fries were yummy.

Stopped into Lokal for a quick lunch before my flight. I had the pleasure of having Tati as my waitress and I loved her energy, knowledge of the menu and attentiveness. Tati recommended the Mint lemonade which was superb and so fresh! To eat I had a Bababooey Burger which was mouthwatering. What I also LOVED about Lokal was how dedicated they are to providing high-quality handcrafted burgers and sauces that are all made right in house. Inside there is an entrance to Victoria's Vinos y Vermuteria, a wine and vermouth bar that's also a part of the Kush Hospitality Group.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I ordered two well done burgers. They were RAW. My husband and I feel so disgusted. I'm trying not to throw up.

INCREDIBLY AWESOME SERVICE !!We ordered online but there was a glitch in the system. They more than made up for it with unparalleled service. Not only did our burgers come out fast and delicious, we were offered water (including a cup for my grandson and a toy), and when my daughter got in the car, she realized they had given her a complimentary bottle of wine. All that for something that they did not have control over.My family and friends have eaten at Lokal dozens of times. The burgers have always been some of our favorites, and the service has always been great. But today, they really made our day. It's not everywhere that people go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Thank you Lokal!

Roberto was AMAZING! We visited from out of town and he approached us right away. He offered some suggestions and samples of the local beers on tap. He also gave great food suggestions. We got the fried pickles which were great. Sometimes when you have fried pickles and you bite into it the pickle slides right out of the fried batter but theirs did not, nice and crispy and delicious. We also tried the lokal burger and sweet potato fries, which were both delicious as well. Lots of cool decor in the place and bathrooms. It was a Thursday night so it was steady but not overly packed which was great. Will definitely come back here if we're ever in the area again!
