Locust Rendezvous

WHAT? How have I not reviewed you?? You are a bastion of late 70s/80s wood veneer paneling, a haven of free sports watching and cheap Jello shots (mmmm, gasoline flavor), and a Mecca of fries that may or may not be, probably definitely not Halal.Come to Locust Rendezvous at the beginning, middle, end, or any combination of your night, and enjoy all that the cheap eats, Philly crowd, and sports can offer.Also, surprisingly functional bathrooms for a space that looks the way it does.

I first went to Locust Rendezvous around 20 years ago. My memory of it was as a mediocre dive bar. My recent visits to "The Vous" have shown me that it is much more than that now. It's a great bar that you can count on for good drinks, fast service, and consistently good food. It doesn't matter how packed the place is. You can count on those three things. With TVs from wall to wall, any sporting event you want to watch will be on one of the TVs. My go-to food has become the turkey reuben. It's a delicious top-tier sandwich in a city full of great sandwiches. My go-to drink is the pomegranate mule, a great take on the moscow mule. I've tried a handful of items from the menu at this point, and everything is good. You can't beat the prices there either. "The Vous" has earned a regular spot in my bar rotation.

Came with a few friends for dinner on a. Saturday night. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak which was good but could have had more meat. Our server was good. My wine glass had lipstick on it and I had to send it back. The Chardonnay was good, as expected and drinks after that were decent. The nachos were ok but could have made them at home. The price was right and we finished all our food so I guess the place served our needs. Definitely a chill low key vibe for a center city bar or restaurant.

The food is SO good here. Do you like bar food? Are you stoked about going to a tavern with icy cold beer and exceptional french fries? Well if the answer is yes this is your jam. My man and I don't eat meat, they have a veggie grinder that's SO good! We split one but I could have had a whole one by myself it was so tasty, hot, well seasoned, just delicious. The fries, ugh!!! Yummy! I think they are coated with something cause they are CRISP! We like craft beer and IPA's in particular- they have a small but tight list. If you're looking for a fruu fruu drink they have those too...in fact, they will make you whatever you want. The service is fast, everyone is friendly and the vibe is chill. What is there not to love? been here twice and plan on absolutely coming again.

Have been here a bunch this year and the vous never disappoints. Love comin in for the weekly specials when I want a nice and easy bite to eat for dinner, or meet up with some friends for some good snack and drink. Always a good spot, love to stop in when I can. Thanks for all the good times

This spot is great. So good that we stopped through all 4 days we were in town. Shout out to Roz for helping find a comfortable spot for our large group. Looking forward to returning next year.

Okay bar food, french onion soup was rich & flavorful. Gravy fries were tasty as well! Tight bar area and dim inside, didn't try any drinks but it's good for what it is.

No frill, simple bar in center city. Not really a vibe but it has decent late night food and even better prices. Saw they had cheap drinks on the menu that we will try next time. We came in for food and let me tell you, the bacon on the BLT was so crisp. We ended up ordering another one.

Best value, dive bar just off Broad St oh, and the food is really great. Wings are better than McGillians and atmosphere is chill enough to talk to your friends.
