Loch Bar - Philly

I loved the ambiance, it's such a beautiful place! Julian took care of us on Labor Day and SPECTACULAR cant begin to describe him and his suggestions. Service overall is amazing. We had a couple of appetizers, drinks, and coffee and it was all delicious. Food was tasty, cocktails on point! Definitely going for brunch soon!

Visited this location when I was in town for a conference. My companions and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Steak Frites, Shrimp Cocktail, Cobb salad with lobster.The Heart of Gold cocktails was DELISH!

I enjoyed a rich cream of crab soup alongside a classic Caesar salad, elevated with fresh tomatoes and scallions. Tony, Julian, and manager Rich were all incredibly helpful and personable, making our dining experience truly memorable. Julian's food recommendations were spot-on, and we'll definitely be dining here again.Rich, best of luck in all your business endeavors. Your team members exemplify professionalism, attentiveness, and knowledge. It's clear that under great leadership, the atmosphere truly shines!

My friend and I came here on Saturday and grabbed a few drinks at the bar before our dinner reservations at another spot. We got tiny dancer and into the mystic. They were both good and strong. The restaurant is beautiful ! It looked very modern. Our bartender and the rest of the staff were also pleasant and kind. He even asked us for our names prior to serving us the drinks. We felt very welcomed. I would be back to actually dine here in the future.

Service, food, and experience was great! This is a great spot for seafood or brunch. A little pricey but worth it. I recommend the lobster roll!

This was on my list to try based on what I've seen online. The decor and atmosphere is very nice and if they get any friendlier, you can call them family. Everyone was so nice and attentive. From the greeter to the wait staff, they all can teach a class on customer service! Our server gave us a brief history of the restaurant and made some great recommendations. We started off with oysters Rockefeller and the spicy ribs. The oysters were so meaty and delicious. The ribs had a special kick and were very tender.Our entrees were the scallops and the seafood bake. The scallops were perfect but the star of the show was the seafood bake. I didn't read the description of the entree well and I was looking for a dish with pasta and seafood baked in a cheese sauce. But what I received was a huge plate of lobster, shrimp, mussels, homemade sausages, grilled corn and roasted baby potatoes. This dish is amazing! Heather came by and told us that this was just included on the menu by the new chef. She did a great job of making sure we were satisfied. If you're in Philadelphia, this place is a must for great dining and a relaxing atmosphere!'nnn

As a former Marylander (still one at heart), I am familiar with Loch Bar in Baltimore's Harbor East. It was one of my favorite places to go, especially during the summer. During my birthday weekend, I decided to take a little solo adventure to Philly, and I just knew I had to visit Loch Bar. When I arrived, I found a seat at the bar. I ordered the Heart of Gold cocktail and the Maryland Crab Cakes. Everything was delicious. Of course, there were some differences from this location compared to the Baltimore location, including some drink differences. However, this one will do since it's closer to me.

Had dinner with my husband at Loch Bar last night and have to say I was very impressed. We started the night off with a big and juicy Bordeaux blend. While the wine list was small, it was well crafted and fairly priced for the wines that were listed. We got there after 8pm, so we were not able to take advantage of the Happy Hour menu. The Happy Hour menu offers many dinner menu items at a discount! These items are probably offered at smaller portions, but still! Can't wait to come back next time to take advantage!My husband and I shared a dozen raw oysters and an order of roasted oysters. The raw oysters were incredibly fresh. For the roasted oysters, the nduja overpowered the oysters so much that I could not taste the oysters, so I wouldn't recommend it.For our mains, I had the seared sea scallops, and my husband had the fish and chips. The seared sea scallops came with 4 scallops that were seared to perfection. Gordon Ramsay would approve. They were even a little bit crispy on top, which I really enjoyed. The basil, corn, and sweet crab risotto that was under the scallops was just as delicious as it looked. It was soft, creamy, and melted in my mouth. My husband also enjoyed his fish and chips immensely. It was served as one massive piece of fried fish on top of fries. I had a few bites and can say it was prepared well. The batter was very even and not lumpy. After our mains, I was full, but my husband and I decided to share dessert. Dessert was a blondie prepared in a skillet, topped with vanilla ice cream. The blondie was a bit overcooked and was just okay. My husband and I really enjoyed our date night at Loch Bar. Everything about Loch Bar was so tastefully done. To be honest, I did not expect it to be so awesome. Loch Bar also has live music. We sat about 5 feet away from the musician, who sang and played her guitar beautifully. At 5 feet away, the sound level was just right, not too loud, and even added to our experience. Anyway, I can't wait for us to come back for Happy Hour. They have outdoor seating too, which is great if we ever want to bring our dog with us next time.

Everything was PHENOMENAL! The food, the atmosphere, the drink, the service! Top tier! Julian was the best!

Had brunch @ Loch bar ...drinks & food were delicious. And the service was wonderful...Julian was personable & an excellent server!! Highly recommend!
