Insalata caprese
Cacio e Pepe
The Ravioli di Pesce in Crema di Gamberi is homemade Fish Ravioli with Lo Stella's creamy shrimp sauce. My favorite!
Semifreddo is Italian for "half-cold" or "half frozen".
The Ravioli di Pesce in Crema di Gamberi is homemade Fish Ravioli with Lo Stella's creamy shrimp sauce. WOW WOW a must order!
The chef made us an assortment of bruschetta & Carpaccio. The bruschetta included Seared Shrimp, Charred Octopus & Smoked Salmon.
The Taglierini Al Cinghiale tossed in Parmigiano is made with Braised Wild Boar Ragu (Wild Boar is a very popular meat in Italy).
The Semifreddo was like an ice cream cake & we enjoyed this cold, sweet treat.
For Antipasta we had the Crude Del Giorno which is the Chef's creation based on daily availability of raw beef & seafood.
A beautiful veggie pasta enriched with a mix of earthy mushrooms & tender octopus.
The Insalata di farro is made with whole-grain wheat farro, olives, tomatoes and basil.
The red pepper flakes added a nice (yet subtle) spice to the pasta.
The wine Alessandro chose for us was the Tua Rita Perlato del Bosco Toscana Vermentino White.
Brian asked if we liked truffles & Ross and I both readily exclaimed "YES" - he then brought out black summer truffle bruschetta.
The Bolognese was authentic & beautiful in taste.
The Insalata di farro was light and fresh - a great summer antipasti.
We shared parting shots of grapa with Alessandro to end our meal - saluti!
The Taglierini Al Cinghiale was a rich & hearty pasta - the boar was gamey & had a meat profile.
The Carpaccio was made with local beef from Ovid, Colorado.
This authentic Italian restaurant always impresses... Lo Stella Ristorante stands as one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado.
The briny juices from the clams brought out the flavor of the garlic broth on the spaghetti.
Scallop special
Lo Stella Ristorante stands as one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado; they offer the most authentic Italian cuisine.

Based on a post I saw online, I assumed the pasta wheel presentation was tableside. I like a good food experience so I was sad to find out this was prepared in the kitchen. Other than that, it was slightly above average Italian food. Portions are good but prices are a little on the high side for not having table side presentation. I give it a 7.5 / 10.

the pastas here may be pricey but was cooked well and flavorful. Specifically the lobster dish had the lobster cooked just right, not over. There was also a good amount of it which made the price felt a little more worth. The flavor profile on the pesto with pistachio felt super earthy, nutty which i liked. The one thing that missed sadly was the bread and focaccia basket. It was $5 but it felt way below average especially when I compare it to the great pasta we had. It was cold and hard, didn't feel fresh at all. The restaurant did seem to get warm in the back area for some reason more than the front and the host did seem a little busy at times. If you're okay splurging on pasta it's not a bad try, but skip the bread/focaccia.

Decided to give Lo Stella a try for dinner on a whim after seeing all the buzz on TikTok and Instagram about their cheese wheel pasta. While we didn't order that, I was seriously impressed with their pasta dishes!I had the bolognese, and my friend ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce. Both were absolutely delicious, with the pasta cooked to perfect al dente. I have to admit, I ended up eating half of my friend's rigatoni because it was just that good! For starters, we tried the tuna tartar and raclette antipasto. The tuna tartar was light and fresh, definitely my favorite. The raclette was a bit of an oddball for me--interesting but not quite my thing. However, the potatoes in the raclette were delightful! We also devoured a couple of bread baskets. The bread was decent, but I was hoping for fresh-out-of-the-oven bread treats, especially from an Italian place. We went with a party of eight and got a massive 3-liter bottle of cabernet. Totally worth it for the photo ops! After the wine, we switched to spritz, which were perfectly refreshing. The restaurant is small, so it can be a bit tight with a larger group. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Parking is street-only, but the area wasn't busy, so we found a spot right in front.I'm curious to try more appetizers next time, but the pasta really steals the show here. I've seen mixed reviews, but our pasta dishes were a hit. I'll definitely be back for another great plate of pasta. Just a heads-up, it is on the pricey side, with most pasta dishes starting at $29.And let's not forget the tiramisu for dessert! It's one of my all-time favorite desserts, and they nailed it. The perfect blend of mascarpone and coffee, and the giant slice was enough to share with everyone at the table.

We joined the waitlist and scored a table the evening of. We were greeted and seared immediately upon arriving. Everything Italian including the wine list, and the waitress was very helpful in helping a choose a wine we'd like. We loved it. I wanted to try a little of everything but settled on the spaghetti "all's Puppo" and the Tagliatelle al ragu. Both amazing dishes and will be back to try more.

I visited Lo Stella with a friend on a Tuesday evening. Which to our delight, it turns out they have happy hour from 4-6pm and offer half priced bottles of wine on Tuesdays! The manager, Luca, was our server. He was great! He was very knowledgeable and patient as I grilled him on the menu and he also helped us narrow our selection to 3 pastas and dessert! He even asked the kitchen to make us the gnocchi special when it wasn't on the menu that evening! We enjoyed the pesto pasta, the Cacio Pepe, and the gnocchi for our entrees, everything was delightful!! I can't wait to come back again and try more off of their menu!

Good ambiance with comfy booths for group seating-- our waiter was super enthusiastic which was refreshing XD and service was very prompt! -The bread basket on the appetizer offerings was pretty mediocre-- especially when the 'focaccia' was as crunchy as a cracker. -The pasta was solid and everyone polished theirs off-- all the dishes had pasta with a good chew and cooked al dente. Seasoning was good (not too salty). I will say my cacio e Pepe wasn't as creamy as it should be, and the cheese had become somewhat stringy, but overall wasn't bad.-Dessert: We tried the tiramisu which was good but pretty unconventional. It looked like a pudding on the plate, with drenched lady fingers covered in a very soft marscapone cream and dusted with cocoa. Overall, not bad and would come back with friends for solid pasta and good ambiance!

Legit my favorite restaurant in Denver right now! Thanks to IG I discovered this beautiful gem by their cheese wheel pasta video that kept teasing me over and over. We've been now three times and each time I've tried a new dish and each time I've left a very happy lady!Cacio e Pepe is phenomenal- no joke. I'd order it over and over again! The mushroom pasta was incredible... handmade pasta in a white cream sauce. I couldn't leave a noddle left on my plate because it was that good. Recently we went with the in-laws and luckily I preordered that incredible carbonara gnocchi for my mother in law and one for me. Holy hell. That was magical. Should be illegal. I'm not kidding. The service is amazing and the restaurant is quant and homey. I love that we can bring the kiddos and order them bread and gelato and they are happy. They are super picky eaters but this is a place we can bring the family and have a fun, comfortable and enjoyable dinner. We recently went on a Wednesday when they had the wine deal which of course we partaked in!! 50% off wine!!! Hell yes!

Visited last night. First Time in and 1/2 the table of 8 ordered the cheese wheel dish after seeing it on instagram. Anxiously awaited the arrival and presentation to which they were disappointed. There is no tableside presentation at all. The pasta just comes out in a bowl, you would never know it was done the way we had seen. Bummer. Food was OK, bill for 8 with no alcohol was at $400. A bit high. Server was not super friendly or so seemed put off by us for some reason. We waited several times on refill of drinks.
