Amazin Tibetan food in Boulder. They have a lot of unique Tibetan dishes. We particularly like the fried beef dumplings and the Tibetan bread.

I posted this on another review site but I just have to warn people about this place so here it is again.Food was inedible. The shrimp masala was so sweet it was like a dessert. I've had masala at countless restaurants and it has never tasted like this. The tails were left on the shrimp so I had to do the job of the "cook" and de-tail the shrimp. The saag had zero flavor, like nothing at all. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Can I have my tip back? I really wanted to like this local business. It was shockingly bad.

Delicious food, lucky enough to catch the lunch special. The service was so exceptional from the kind people of Nepal. It was especially peaceful & serene with 14th Dalai Lama there on the pedestal. Remind us of Katmandu.

Was disappointed in the flavors. Everything was very bland and too watery. Naan was crispy instead of soft and fluffy. The only thing we really enjoyed was the beef Momo. Service took a while. Two tables ordered something on a skillet and it filled the entire restaurant with smoke. Overall, would not recommend or return. Sorry, but it just didn't taste good.

Ordered the chicken tandoori and lamb curry lunch special which comes with naan, rice, lentil and veggie curry. The portion is great given the price. My personal favorite were the lentil and veggie curry.

Located on the north portion of Boulder. Yes there is parking and lots of it, +1. Entering the restaurant, there is a very heavy Tibetan vibe. Having been to Tibet previously, it's cool to see Tibetan/Indian/Nepalese food featured. We went with the lamb curry and chicken tandoori off the lunch menu. At $11 and $12, you cannot beat the value. Each dish comes with rice, naan, lentils, and a vegetable curry as a side to the meat. Really solid, filling, and delicious. Looks family owned to me; check it out and support local.

What a delicious delight. The samosas were huge, fatly stuffed and mildly seasoned with curry. The soup was also lightly seasoned with Indian spices. Loaded with tender white chicken and asian veggies. This is definitely a find and so worth returning to in order to try a few other offerings.Times TWO: Came back for a second round this time with my friend, brother and sister-in-law. Now it was inconsistent. Both my friend and sis ordered korma. Both dishes not only looked different, but tasted very different. I wish i had photos. But one dish was sweet and had almonds; the other cashews and a completely different spice profile. Furthermore, my brother ordered lamb kofta. His summation was it was dry and needed a sauce. Me? I reordered the soup. It was very delightful; just way too many noodles and not enough veg.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - flavor profile is focused on acidity and spiciness so very different from other food we have. Rice was tough and not cooked all the way through but was herbed/spiced so it had interesting flavors Sampler MOMOs had thick dumpling wrapper The fillings are similar so we weren't quite sure which was which. The sauce was very spicy so it masks all flavors as well Shaptak is sliced beef wok fried with peppers in a spicy sauce. And indeed it was extremely spicy! Unfortunately, the cuts of meat were uneven which makes cooking it consistently difficult so there were some tough pieces. Bell peppers were also super uneven with two abnormally large pieces Pork with mixed vegetables was with pork belly so it was very queasy. They do vegetables very well, but not the meat unfortunately Ambience: N/A - nicely decorated but we ordered food to go Service: 5/5 - polite and quick service. Her quote of 20 minutes was fairly accurate. The to go food was very hot and was still warm when we ate Value for price: 2/5 - interesting to try as it's a different flavor profile than we're used to. Too salty and spicy for our enjoyment and not balanced.

I've been to a lot of Tibetan restaurants. Since Boulder has such a large population of Tibetans, and I also travel, I've been fortunate enough to try at least 10, maybe 15 of them in the last 20 years. When I was in grad school, the Climber's bar was a cool hangout for beers and great Nepalese food. I think they may now own Sherpas, a mainstay of Boulder with an incredibly lovely patio. There was that place in Nederland we'd stop at on the way home from skiing when my daughter was little. And I remember a time when I was so obsessed with making momos that so sought out a food court in Columbus OH where I could sit at the counter and watch the dumplings being rolled out and formed before my very eyes. But I have to say, Little Tibet is perhaps the best Tibetan food I've had. OK - maybe Gurkha's rivals them, but the dishes are so unique between the two.We were lucky enough to go with another mostly vegetarian family, so I got to sample 5 dishes. The momos (my obsession) were delightful with a fiery traditional sauce - seriously, if you are not a fan of heat, skip the sauce. For me, it was perfect. The Saag Paneer was really unique - more cumin heavy than any I've had, but so delicious. But the real surprise was the chole. I almost never order chole because it is so easy to make, and pretty consistent across restaurants. But this one was quite different - a browner gravy with a perfect balance of spices and heat - less ginger than usual but a wonderful unique taste. And for the less adventurous in our group, the chow meón was so flavorful- I expected a typical thukpa noodle dish, but these were not at all bland. And the stir fried vegetables had that true wok braised flavor. I hope to come back sometime and try their Bharta or Bindi masala - everything here was excellent, including the service and ambiance.

This place is really mediocre. I had an appetizer that the waiter could not describe. Well, it's deep fried mono or gyoza if you will. Decent taste. The egg roll is watery and kinda bland. The chicken bhuna is really a stew with chicken, potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms and bell peppers. This is hardly an Indian dish. The naan is decent but it's the food that has to shine and it was disappointing. The prices are reasonable but then again the neighborhood is not so that good so the rent is probably low.
