We came to Little Nina's on a stormy evening. We called ahead to reserve a table and we were seated immediately upon arrival. It took a while for the server to take our order, but it was well worth the wait. We started with the olives. There were 3 kinds of olives and they were all great. I had the Sunday Gravy. There were 3 kinds of meat in a separate dish, plus whatever was in the sauce already on the pasta. It was rich and delicious. My husband had the tufoli rigate, a pasta dish with chicken, fennel sausage, and artichokes. He loved it. This was a last minute Ute decision and I'm happy we came to Little Nonna's.

I had booked a reservation at Little Nonna's for a date night but it wasn't too crowded on a Saturday early evening, which was just fine by me. I had eaten in their indoor area before which at night is pretty dimly lit with candles for a romantic vibe, but this time I opted to sit in their courtyard area that has more light and open space. It has a sunroof, is enclosed by walls, and had fans and even an AC so it's not quite truly outdoors, but the roof was very appreciated when a quick downpour of rain appeared in the middle of our dinner! My one suggestion would be to spruce up the courtyard even more with some plants - I think a greener garden look would be beautiful. Service was good and quick; I'm not one to be chatty with servers but I heard another table chatting it up so they are definitely talkative if you want that. My partner and I made our own little three-course meal. We started with their well-regarded garlic bread, which was the perfect balance between soft and crispy and came with a whole bulb of roast garlic to spread. You better believe we ate it all, I even got in there with my fingers to get every clove. We got the Sunday gravy to share, coming with a plate of pasta (this time was cannelloni) and a second plate with two sausages, a giant meatball, and a generous cut of braised short rib. It was plenty to eat and the meats were all well-cooked and -flavored. I think I would have just liked the option of adding more parmesan to cut the tomato sauce a bit. Finally we ended with a tiramisu, which here was served as a layered cup that reminded me of their sister restaurant Barbuzzo's salted caramel budino (which is a very high compliment!).Overall really liked both the seating area and the food - nothing too novel or mind-blowing but it was all cozy and comfortable food done well and perfect for a date!

Came here for a casual dinner and it was overall a nice experience. We got the garlic bread to start because it looked too good to pass up. The flavor was there, the toast on the bread was good, and I like that they gave you a whole head of roasted garlic. Of course we got pastas for our entrée. A bit on the salty side, but overall a solid plate of pasta. Can't complain. Our waitress was also on point and you can tell she's good at her job. The food also comes out super fast! My only complaint is that it is pretty dark in the restaurant so it's hard to really see anything lol

Ambiance: 8/10. The inside looks really nice and intimate. They have outside seating in front of the restaurant which is nice. They also have seating in the back/side of the restaurant. It's a bit removed from the main room (need to walk through a tunnel area to get there) buts it's quieter and relaxing.Food: 9/10! The food here was really good! I got the charred broccoli caesar salads as recommended by three waitress. It came out first and it was really nice! Great flavor and charr on the broccoli and it had pieces of fried polenta cubes that elevated the dish! I also had the spaghetti and meatballs! The sauce and pasta were great! Seasoned very nicely and cooked perfectly. The meatballs were good, large and filling. I would prefer them a bit more seasons but mixing a bit of the cheese definitely rounded the flavorPrice: $46 total (including tip). I was very full at the end and took about 1/3 of the meal back to my hotel to eat later. Didn't mind the price at all especially since I got two dishes

The pasta was overcooked, and every dish was on the saltier side. Some of my friends love and rave about this place, so it's probably a matter of personal preference!! Loved that they included a huge bottle of water on the table, so I didn't have to ask the server for any refills. The restaurant is quite dark inside, seems perfect for a casual date night or grabbing drinks with friends. The rigatoni alla vodka's sauce was delicious, but the sausage itself was too salty. The braised short rib lumache sauce was a bit too runny, almost like a broth. The garlic bread wasn't crispy but rather squishy, but LOVED that it came with a whole bulb of roasted garlic. That was addicting! They're known for their meatballs, so maybe get that next time!

This place gets a lot of hype, but it was kind of a letdown flavor-wise. We had reservations. We started with the garlic bread and split the Spaghetti & Meatballs and Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The confit garlic head on the bread was a little weird because it would've been better if that flavor had been in the bread instead of on the side. I've had better meatballs and sauce. The sauce was a little too sweet, and the meatballs almost had a gamey taste. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was the best thing we had, but I've had better elsewhere as well.

Cozy, intimate, and delicious food to boot. They rotate their menu options so you can always find something new to try. You HAVE to get the garlic bread, which comes with confit garlic to spread on your bread, which is just phenomenal. The broccolini caesar has these delicious cheesy croutons and the eggplant parm was perfectly crispy and flavorful. Ordered the wild mushroom bucatini, great creamy sauce that wasn't too heavy after all the appetizers.

Hands down best Italian food in Philly. Went here with a group of friends for the first time and we all ordered different pasta dishes. Each and every one was different but equally delicious. The hype for the garlic bread was real. The outside courtyard is covered so it's safe to sit in any weather and it has a great ambiance-- I would definitely recommend it over the street seating.

The food was very very delicious. It's an authentic Italian restaurant. Not a big venue. Open kitchen. Dim lighting. EXCELLENT service. The waiter was immediately available and knew his menu very well. Very helpful. The food was amazing. The pasta tasted homemade. Garlic bread had a big fresh garlic grilled to use as a spread. Everything was so good.

Can't say enough about this place. Service was wonderful and the food was exceptional! We were a group of four women and we shared an order of garlic bread and two of the salads to start. Each of us ordered an entree, and we followed that with a shared tiramisu. Large portions and ohh so good. Lived up to all positive comments.
