Very nice environment, quite relaxed and great setup inside. Went there after a rehearsal dinner to have a couple drinks and chill and got exactly that. Didn't have any food so can't say anything about that but every drink we got tasted amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for a laid back great tasting drink.

We attended a family birthday party being held here and upon walking in found this to be a very relaxing and chill environment. The large bar provides comnfortable seating all the way around, no backbreaking bar stools here! They also have comfortable table arrangements to sit at as well as some very comfortable chairs and couches in the back. They do not provide food but are going to be getting some food in the near future, they do have plenty of beer and wine to choose from with a very large selection of beers on draft. I was highly impressed with the attention to detail in what they serve as well as how they serve it. They even have a good selection of unique wine and beer for sale on display in the bar not to mention quality wine accessories, take a look at the riedel glassware for sale. The wine I ordered was served in the proper glass every time, no "joker" wine glasses here! They sell quality wine and proudly present a good selection of wine to choose from. The staff are great! They are great to sit and talk with, very knowledgeable in what they sell and treat you like family. If your looking for an upscale and classy establishment for quality drinks and a comfortable, yet relaxing atmosphere, this is the place for you. Cheers!

This place opened in October of this year, and seems to have scratched an inched, or at least found a niche. This place is about the drink, and almost solely about the drink. The front is basically a wine and beer shop, the back is a bar, with a very limited amount of nibbles. The bar area is small, and when crowded, it is noisy. There is a small area with covered chairs and a couch, the rest of the seating is high, communal tables and plastic stools - not a formula for a comfortable sit & sip. There is a good limited variety of both beer and wine choices on any given day, maybe 6 or 8 of each. The wine pours are decent, the pricing about $5 a glass. The beers are heavy on the craft beers, IPA, and more fad brews. There was a great Belgian Ale - Bavik Premium Ale at $5 a pour. Not a bad place for a drink or two, not a long term commit for an evening, and rather noisy. Service is generally good, but you have to go to the bar for your drink, and when it gets busy, it is more than a bit of a zoo. Early in, a few brews, and then out is the ticket here.

Jeff is great! Libations is great! Come here... enjoy the atmosphere & friendliness. No food here but they have a menu from a restaurant closeby that will bring the food over.

Nice, somewhat upscale place in Sanford where you can go for some local beer and good wine. This place is perfect for when you want to unwind after work or just want to have a couple of drinks and catch up with the ladies. The bartenders are very helpful and friendly and will let you taste the beers before making your choice. There is a shop section as well where you can buy a large variety of wines and beer. They have recently changed the layout of the place and it is a lot more welcoming now.

Really cute little bottle shop for Sanford! They always seem to be improving by doing more events, making the place feel more comfortable, and adding exciting things to their drink selections. You can even request a beer and the manager will order it for you! I'm looking forward to them being open on sundays in the future so I can go there after brunch.

I waited until the honeymoon was over to leave a review, and I'm still totally pleased with Libations. The beer and wine selections for purchase are interesting and well selected. It helps tremendously they have a level one sommelier on staff who know how to speak to the masses. :)Need a wine suitable for your boss or as a special gift? Talk to Ryan - he's a genius. Need something to serve to your houseguests who drink wine like water? Talk to Ryan - he's a genius! And the best thing is you can call ahead, pop in, pay, and go without dealing with grocery store lines. And the discount on purchasing 6 bottles is a huge bonus as well. Hanging out in the back of Libations is equally enjoyable. Get a nice libation, hang out, and you'll inevitably run into someone you know, or make a new friend. Young folks chat with old folks, and it's more often than not that "one glass before dinner" turns into "oh crud, we gotta go if we're going to eat". Finally, dare I say it? Cleanest drinking glasses in Lee County. UPDATE: major management upheaval and the climate is changing. The open floor plan has been replaced with mismatched furniture, including an old patio set which makes me feel like I'm hanging out in a friends basement. Not a bad thing necessarily, but quite different from the previous management style. Getting waited on can be an effort, as there has been only one bartender working in the three times we've been there. There isn't a sommelier that works there anymore, so getting a good description of the wine is difficult. However, there have been several wine tastings, which has been enlightening, but it seems the level of wines carried has dropped down a few levels. You can still order wine, which is great, and very easy to do. Communication is good, but I was told by the owner it was 20% off for 6 bottles, and then when I went to place an order, was told it was 10% off.

This awesome place is tucked back behind Steele street. It is super chill and has an awesome variety of wine and craft beers for sale as well as 8 rotating beers on tap, and 6 varieties of wine by the glass. You can come in for a drink, or to hang out with a few friends. Cool atmosphere! This place is a good change of pace to enjoy so craft brews and wine.

Love Libations. I honestly never thought Sanford would ever get a special place like this. I only hope more people will 'find' their new favorite wine or beer here. Only place within 50 miles that I've found Wicked Weed's Pernicious IPA.

Nice upscale place for drinks in Sanford. Good ambience, extremely knowledgeable bartender. Really knows his beers and cocktails. Food was okay. Went on Taco Thursday and had the shrimp tacos. Tasty but soggy. Pretty sure it was pre made and popped in the microwave to heat up. Not exactly fresh but it's not a restaurant per say so ....I didn't have the hot dogs but the patrons around me swear by them and assured me they're delicious. Had the the Black Forest cake for dessert- again, just okay. I will definitely come back- not for the food but definitely for the beer.
