Lee's Market

Maybe I'm bit biased because I used to live a block away from Lee's and get my food from here all the time, but comparing other Bahn Mi's I've had around the city it's my FAVE anywhere!This spot is family-owned and the mom makes all the food and it taste like somebody's momma cooked it! I've had various food from here, but let's talk about this Bahn Mi. For the price point which is around $6-7 dollars, the size could easily feed two people. I can't say that for most of the bahn mi's I've had. No top of that, the flavor is there. I've had some slightly better bahn mi's as far as flavor, but Lee's is right up there with anybody's. I wish they didn't close so early, but anytime I'm nearby I call in and get that delicious Bahn mi every single time.

Amazing sandwiches! It's truly a little "market"/convenience store, and the food is made in the back. Stopped in for lunch and the gentleman behind the counter was incredibly kind and helpful. I ordered a cheeseburger, banh mi, Philly cheesesteak, and meatball sub. Everything was incredibly tasty. The pictures don't do it justice, but I had to try.

The store is not much to look at, inside or out - very basic bodega style grocery store but ho-ly COW, the sandwiches are unreal here. We got a tuna hoagie and a pork bánh-mi and wow, both were mind blowing. So incredibly delicious. This is a sweet little hidden gem in the Powelton Village area of the city.

If you are Philly, heck this can go with anywhere. We all know those hole in the wall spots are the hidden gems, the best, most authentic. As we most are nowadays, self proclaimed foodies. I happen to come across Lee's market, pretty much in the university city area, powelton village parts. I was just in the area browsing around the shop, picking up some snacks for the road. Then realizing they sell food! As a foodie, must try! Decided on trying their cheesesteak and banh mi. Oh my smacks! The cheesesteak was amazing, super juicy, not dry, so perfect. And the banh mi, wow! Different take than what I'm used to without the pate, but damn this was very yum, very good. If you are looking for some good food, this place is well worth the trip and checking it out, hidden gem for sure.

Surprisingly delicious Vietnamese sandwich.We ordered the pork sandwich specialty and both kids and dad enjoyed them!Pro: sandwichCon: The place itself looks rundown and I was hesitant to stay and wanted to leave. But you Yelpers gave good reviews, so I stuck it out and gave it a chance.So happy that I did and the Vietnamese pork sandwich was a win!

This place is a 1-2 minute walk from my house and honestly I could write a lengthy review but I come here about 1-2 a week (which makes me a regular), so I think that speaks volumes.It's a family owned business, the owners are very nice Vietnamese folks. Lee's offer almost any last minute household items and snacks that you may have run out of or are in need of. They have average corner store "poppy" food. Great prices and a good selection. Tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. I love Lee's. For the convenience and customer service.

Delicious food for affordable price.Cards accepted over $10.Little family owned convenient store. Friendly & very welcoming. They also sell hot food!We've ordered chicken wings, tenders, fries, different hoagies. They never disappoint!! Always get large hoagies & everything on it. The fries are so bomb. Some days, we only get fries cause that's what we crave for.. it's just that good :)Cheap & yummy ? WINNING!

Excellent Philly cheesesteaks!Ive been wanting to try their Vietnamese Banh Mi as well! I love how their breads -- soft and fluffy, at the same time as crunchy!This is my first time in Philadelphia and I've been going on a foodie run. Definitely one of the best neighborhood gems. I dont live around the area but stopped by as my friends place needed some soda chips sandwiches and detergent (I know, weird mix). Anyhow, the sandwiches there are damn good. Their burgers as well. We tried everything including their fries and nuggets. Cheesesteaks are classic chopped cheese like how the locals love it. And their Italians hoagies, my fave, are banging!!! The wifey had the Viet pork hoagie, their rendition of it and it's just as good. Try the chicken as well. Had a taste of my friends and it's pretty damn good as well. Also grab my favorite bag of chips, Utz hot chips, LOVE IT!!!
