Las Morenitas Mexican

My boyfriend and I are new to the Houston area from Chicago. So we use yelp to guide us for some much needed breakfast on a Sunday morning. We love Mexican food so we wanted to stay authentic. Las morenitas definitely didn't disappoint! It's a bit a dive which doesn't deter us one bit. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and to no surprise the restaurant was packed always a good sign. We were quickly sat. I had menudo, I probably wouldn't order again because it had the "menudo smell" if you're an OG menudo eater you know what I'm taking about. My boyfriend had the green chilaquiles, they were loaded with cheese and spicy! Very tasty. I would go back! I would just try something new next time.

It was $60 on 5 plates that only consisted of eggs and beans. Waitress was rude, every time we said something she would make a face and look dumb. -Fueron $60 en solo 5 Platos de puro huevo y frijoles. La mesera fue lo Peor cada vez qué deciamos algo hacia una cara fea como si no entendia.

Everything I've ordered from there so far has been really good. The only I would suggest staying away from is the menudo. I would definitely never order that again. Everything else Nopales en chile rojo, apporeado, tacos de chicharon to carne a la mexicana has been spot on.

Amazing food, friendly service and the vibes are just right. Anything in the menu is recommended

This place is so good. Like if want to eat authentic Mexican Food come here. They serve handmade tortillas. The guacamole and chips are good. The Jamaica drinks taste really great. My favorite plate is Barbacoa a la mexicana taste amazing. They have the tortas made with chicken taste also really good and the prices are nice for the food that they offer. I will also recommend to try the Aporreado (machacado) plate. The enchiladas taste really good with the quail.

Moderately priced dishes. Good size portions. Kitchen to table wait time is quick. Excellent customer service. Great menu variety.

Red salsa was hot sauce green one was jalapeño water Nachos was tasteless literally, tilapia was frozen and tasteless but the lemonade and the coke was delicious.thank you hope I never come here again.

Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious with a homemade taste, which is so hard to find. Muy buen servicio y rapido. La comida es bien casera y rica, algo que es muy difícil de encontrar.

This place has the most amazing and authentic Mexican food.My mother invited me here, as she is very demanding and picky about her food.Now she has me hooked to this place, which is not very close to home.

Lots of good options . Services was good and the theme / atmosphere was great. Food was decent .
