YES, YES, YES‼New to the area and asked one of my contractors where to find menudo - he gave me this place and I AM BLOWN AWAY! Stopped on the way from a medical appointment and so glad I did - I will definitely return soon for an eat-in experience. But for now, just let me say:1) DELICIOSO‼‼2) Excellent ambience and service.3) The tripe taco knocked me sideways it was so damn tasty! I feverishly consumed it before taking a pic, although this post pic gives you an idea of the food served here - with ALL the trimmings! Be on the for a more complete review after my upcoming dine-in experience!

From the moment I open the door to the moment I left, it was clear I wasn't welcome there. I think it had to do with the lack of pigment in my skin. I am from LA , I deal with diverse cultures on a daily basis, personal life and professional life. I have never been made to feel so out of place. The server could barely speak English, but I don't care about that -like I said, I live in Los Angeles . What a pure blatant attitude of the staff towards me because I don't speak their language. Are you kidding me? ? As far as the food, Ive had way better in LA. I'm here in this area because I opened a restaurant myself, this placed just showed me how to never treat a guest . Best advertisement is word of mouth, and you will never ever get a recommendation from me. As far as I'm concerned this place has a little attitude toward those of us of with white skin. . Sad .

This is a Mexican restaurant serving a primarily Latino clientele. It's important to remember that. Despite being whiter than white and having only minimally functional high school Spanish I have never felt less than welcome or accommodated here. The menu has Tex-Mex, Honduran, and Salvadoran sections but the bulk is primarily Mexican. Not taco truck Mexican, but actual plates of meat or seafood. And those plates are very large. Seriously, I've served whole turkeys on platters the size of what I received and yes, the leftovers made for additional meals. Oh, and the drinks and snacks menu? The small margaritas and micheladas are BIG. I hate to think how large the grandes must be. The food is consistently good. The rice does not have freezer burned peas and carrots and the beans are so tasty they must be made with lard. Tortillas appear to be house-made and they have free refills on the aguas frescas. My server, who did not speak English, made sure to call over a server who did when my Spanish failed. The restaurant is loud, colorful, and cheerful. It can get a little too loud, especially on weekend nights when there's a DJ. It is very much a family friendly place but also good for a few beers after work or a girls' night out. Pro tip: Ask for the salsa verde with your chips. It's especially good.

We ordered takeout here twice. First time, we were four beers in and it tasted delicious. Second time, only two beers in and it was just as good. We've been to many Mexican restaurants and this one tasted the most authentic. Yes, we had some beers and perhaps it was the fact that we were enjoying it from our backyard but the pupusas were delicious, the shrimp a'Diablo was nice and spicy (spicier when we only had two beers haha!) and the Camerones Rancheros seemed like a less spicy option to my white a$$. The corn tortillas were fresh. The rice was moist. Sorry, some people hate that word lol. The chips may or may not be homemade yet were yummy. Sorry, not a chip professional here yet too many of them helped me gain 20 pounds. All in all, we'd definitely order again, and suggest you do too especially after a few beers. You won't regret it!

Been here a few times and its become one of my favorite spots!! The pupusas are delicious and the margaritas are big and yummy. I tried the pulled pork this time, which came with rice and tortillas. The portion was HUGE. The sauce on the pork was amazing, I really enjoyed my meal. I've also tried the chimichangas from here, which are great. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have live music/karaoke around 8ish and it's SUPER loud, so be prepared if you go then. No complaints, I'll definitely be back!

If you're up for some Mexican and Central-American eats, Las Marias Tacos y Pupusas should fit the bill! This authentic eatery off of Wake Forest Road is doing a lot of things right. Bright and cheery dining room, check. Great and prompt service, check. Authentic Latin-American eats ranging from tacos, burritos and much more, check. Reasonable prices, check. You really can't go wrong eating here, I've done their tacos, carnitas plates and more, the portions are substantial and great home cooking! If you go at night, enjoy a beer or margarita with your meal, nice! And from what I understand, they sometimes have a mariachi band or live music on the weekends. Las Marias is not for everyone. If you're looking for an Americanized Mexican option, you may not enjoy this place. But if you appreciate delicious, authentic Latin American eats, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem next to Wal*mart!

Oh man I just found a real gem! I was just looking for a taco. Fast food taco. I will be back. This is even before noon with all this music going on! People working there are beautiful and kind as well. Wow! I had ceviche! This was all 10 bucks. Grapefruit really does it!Update: Aaaand...went back and got the chicken mole enchilada and a single Chile Relleno. They were both really really, like Miss Maria made them herself for her family. I have amazing looking drinks too. When I walked in the second time they were already cleaning up from lunch and everything smelled like lemons and you could see all the cleaning stuff right in the front walking into the kitchen.Oh and all the plants! Somebody personally loves plants because these aren't just thrown around. You can tell they've been there for a while with a lot of stuff in them and nothing is dusty. Tons of plants on the outside too. I wish I could be a restaurant reviewer. They do a good job with the masks thing too.I have videos of the ceviche.Chorizo
