Went to Las Caras on a recent girls trip to Denver and had such a good experience! There were 9 of us, and the restaurant had our table ready for us upon arrival. Their margaritas were on point and the food was fantastic albeit very heavy, but that's Mexican food for you! This is a casual restaurant with a very relaxed atmosphere.Most folks in our party ordered smothered burritos (which can also come in bowls without the tortilla). Smothered burritos seem to be the house specialty and everyone loved them. I opted for the chicken enchiladas. The enchilada sauce was absolutely delicious and the chicken was grilled well + tender. I recommend this restaurant for a hearty meal. Be ready to be hit by an intense food coma right after!

This place is so over priced for steak fries with green chili cost $28. WTF. You can go anywhere in Denver and never get over price this way. I DONOT recommend this place at all. Which is very sad because we have been coming here for over 10 years and will never come back. Their trip plate cost less than steak fries.

Dinner night with mom. She LOVES the Hyde Park Chicken...swears by it and will not be swayed otherwise. Kind of a bummer that there is no complimentary chips and salsa but we didn't NEED it. I ordered the #1-Chili Relleno and Smothered Burrito. The relleno was AMAZING! Crispy, cheesy, yumminess! I ordered ground beef and black beans in the burrito. One or the other was pretty heavy on the oregano and a little dry. The rice, while flavorful, was a tad dry. I think I'll ask for an extra side of the green chili next time. We will be back and I'll try something else!

Value and quality of the food -:the taste, texture, quality are all a perfect melding together of what a meal should be. I think the customer service is excellent and I dont know why I didnt know about this place sooner. Highly recommend that you give it a try. Everything has been delicious that I have tried.

This is our go to Mexican restaurant in SE Denver. It is a family owned and operated treasure, the three salsas offered with chips are made in house and are quite tasty. The savory green chili is excellent and is vegetarian. The options for lunch and dinner are numerous and served by people who really care about you having a great dining experience.
