New place that I tried tonight. Co-worker recommend it. Service was good. Family owned, always a plus! I ordered the shrimp something ( yes, I forgot what it a was) also ordered the chicken taco plate. The house margaritas were good! I would come back. National Taco Day! #tacotuesday

We had to give this a try, since it is pretty much the closest mexican restaurant that seemed more Mexican side than the usual tex-mex spot. The dining room was at 50% capacity when we got there, they had sanitizing stations up at front, and you were seated when arriving. We were brought the usual chips and salsa, but the salsa was not the best, not spicy with not much flavor in my honest opinion. When looking at the menu, I realized with was more if a tex mex with some of the hole in the wall menu options, but not many. They didn't have barbacoa, no gorditas, no tortas, not the true Mexican Taqueria menu. We ordered the chorizo con huevo and the chicken enchiladas. The chorizo said it came with rice and beans, but I subbed the rice for potatoes, which were cubed and fried and came with 3 flour tortillas. The plate was pretty big and very good! The enchiladas had a sort of cheese sauce in top and he really much enjoyed them too!The food was good and the price was even better! Also, they did have a soft serve ice cream machine which was a nice way to end good meal!

Las Anita's was the agreed place for lunch since it was a central location for me and my lunch companion. I didn't have any expectations upon arriving since neither of us had been there before, it was just a mutual place. Usually, little unassuming, mom & pop Mexican restaurants have some of the best food, but this place fell short. The food was absolutely bland! We both ordered the fajita taco salad (chicken for me, beef for them) and neither one of us were impressed. I had to add salsa, salt, and pepper to make it edible. The only plus was the nice size water cups. Meh!

Although admittedly we found this place during COVID ops, and haven't dined in yet, we've ordered takeout now for the 4th time. I have to say, everything has been spot on and delish for takeout quality! Staff is always friendly and attentive when picking up, and also wearing the proper PPE. Speaking of PPE, my best flying bud Jeff and I were flying back from Anchorage where I felt like I was getting sick. So for 6 hours, this poor dude wore his PPE all the way back to protect himself from my belly ache. When we landed the mask impressions took 2 whole days to go away!!! But I digress....We really like this place and can't wait to enjoy some drinks and their food next time when we dine in! Great job guys and keep up the good work!

This is the absolute best Mexican restaurant ANYWHERE. BEST SALSA, BEST FOOD, EVERYTHING. I'm a true foodie, grew up in Houston on Monterey house and Los Tios. I drive from Galveston to eat here in clear lake, and I'm never disappointed

My friend had her celebration for her birthday there yesterday. 4 of us women. We decided to sit outside. The place wasn't busy. The food was good, but the service wasn't. We had to literally call them on our cell phone to ask if our waiter could come outside and ask if we needed anything else. Which we did. Again, the place was not busy. It was around 2:30pm when we were there. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

Meh.I'm not sure if this joint is affiliated with Casa Anita's (La Porte), but the food here is equally marginal. First, the salsa is served warm, and that's sacrilege to me. I asked for a cold version and the server pointed to the bland green sauce and said "That's cold." I responded, "Yes, and I want cold red sauce." Only after another server came around and said "Salsa fria! Fria!" did he bring me a cold bowl of the stuff. It was fairly bland and not worth the trouble. The tostada here is good ... warm beans and cold lettuce. Too bad the salsa added very little flavor. Rice and beans here are par for the course. The tamale was better than what many places offer -- al dente masa and decent flavor. The cheese enchilada, albeit fresh, was akin to what I would find in the frozen food section of the grocery store. There are some beers here served on draft ... extremely cold. And the service is mostly exceptional. I wish I could say the same about the food.
