Larry's is the best Tex-Mex on the planet. The cheese enchiladas are the real deal. The service, ambiance & all the staff make Larry's a special place to dine.

Larry's been doing it for a long time. Not everyone knows about Larry's. Lot of food for the money. Three Beef Enchiladas for $13 is a good value today. Salsa is not my fav. Typically responsive staff and good service. Old school classic Mexican food that your parents grew up with. I always enjoy lunch or weekends here. The building could use an upgrade but likely why the food cost is a value. I recommend if you like classic (repeat classic) Tex mex!

Y'all just don't understand unless you've tried it!!! Anytime I'm in Rosenberg. This is a must stop for me. Me and my husband have a coming here for years. Their Fajita is sooooo tender and the cheese sets it off.

It delivered everything promised and the place hasn't changed since the 60's. Food is great but could use some salt. I no longer drink so can't speak about the liquor. Staff is exceptional. It's not clean, it's tired, same light fixtures, same paint, same tore up bathrooms and the same Picture of Larry hangs by the cash register. But if you're looking for a Mexican food, that's not pretentious, good wholesome Tex-Mex. This place delivers every single time. It may not be for everyone, but if you grew up in the area, you know what to expect.

Larry, you're not getting another chance with us...Our experience with Larry's manager would be expected if we lived in the 1950s. Skinny, white man with glasses made it a point not to greet tables where Hispanics were seated. That would be our table, the couple behind us, and the family to our right. He made it a point to greet every tables where white people were sitting, including those in our surrounding area. Manager, this attitude towards ethnic people is disgusting. The FoodThey call it tex-mex but it should be called gringo-mex since there was only a semblance of Mexican taste. Enchiladas - ground beef was good but bland. The chili sauce was a powder and water mix, and the cheese was unrecognizable - was it cheddar or Velveeta? Your guess is as good as mine. Charro Beans were overly spicy, we asked for refried and they were good. Spanish rice was good as well. Tortillas were paper-thin. The sweet ice tea was overly sweet and unable to enjoy. My daughter's plate was not much better. She ordered two chalupas, one chicken, one beef. Would you believe the chalupas had no refried beans as it's first layer? The chicken was bland, absolutely no spices. And the chalupas had an awful red sauce that destroyed the whole thing. She only ate the lettuce and tomato. The guacamole did not have diced tomatoes or onion. Just mashed avocado. The wait staff - Of course the wait staff was primarily Hispanic. They all were mostly silent and no small talk or smiles. They seemed to be conditioned this way.Handicap mobility - yes, they had a small ramp that was sun-aged, cracked, and wobbly. But before you reached it there were rocks and pebbles in the parking lot and around the ramp. Lastly - the cashier gave us a pretty good stink-eye on the way out.Instead of Larry's we are going to find a real Tex-Mex restaurant where the food is authentic and the manager is more accepting of all ethnicities.

I've come here a few times. I think I've just forgotten to check in, but the place is ok. It's small and dark when you walk in. I've only gone for the breakfast. When I get the fajitas for breakfast, they are hard to bite on. For the most part, I stick to the omelets. They have a good amount of cheese and came with bacon, beans, and bread. The customer service is ehh. When my husband I walk in, we never get greeted, but don't let some white people walk in. If white people walk in, the workers stop what they're doing to greet them and let them know they can sit where they want to. I've noticed this every time that we've gone. They never make small talk with the minorities, but they will make long conservation with the white people near our table. The only thing I really like is the coffee and omelets. They taste similar to a place I had in Mexico when I was younger, which is the only reason I like coming. We have had some nice waiters, while other times not so friendly.

This joint has been on my Tex-Mex bucket list for quite a while, if only because of the old-school spaghetti topped with chili. Indeed, Larry's mostly frozen in time, and that's a good thing! The chili was just a really good cumin-laden beefy concoction -- a fine example of what Tex-Mex chili con carne should taste and look like. The spaghetti, however, was among the most over-boiled pasta I've eaten since I was a Boy Scout trying to cook over a big-ass fire. Still, I wanted to say that I had it -- so I made sure that I ordered something that included it: the Special Dinner. This menu item also includes a sampling of several other Tex-Mex staples, which is what I prefer to order on my first visit to such places.Included with this plate is a firm tamale, which is buried beneath the spaghetti con chili. Outstanding. The rice is firm and dry, as it should be; the refried beans are par for the course. The crispy taco reminds of the 'Corpus Christi' version that I was raised on -- just simple fried corn tortillas filled with the traditional ground beef, lettuce and some grated cheese. (I asked them to hold the tomatoes.) The cheese enchilada is far from the best I've eaten, but the salty, gooey filling took me way back in time. Wonderful. The house salsa here is served cold, and it is as simple as it is delicious. Spicy. Smooth. An excellent accoutrement for the warm, crispy tortilla chips. This place is anything but upscale. The Formica table and tritely decorated dining room, however, are very comfortable. And the service, by the way, is equally old-school, which is a relief these days. I'm not sure that I have experienced a Tex-Mex restaurant that reminds me of my childhood as much as Larry's.

I love the food but recently met the owner and he's a rude and angry old man. Unfortunately I can no longer spend my money there after the experience. This proves who is best to have employees rather than micromanaging because he's the only reason my family will no longer return
