Landmark Inn Bar & Grille

A casual tavern in downtown Northbrook offering traditional bar food and drinks. One of the few places that serves food late on a weeknight.Stopped in after 9pm on a Tuesday and this place was packed with softball teams - kids ,parents and coaches . We waited about 20 minutes for a table but our server was super efficient and friendly. Started with their appetizer platter which was good in quality and the portions were very generous. The loaded tots were amazing!Also had an order of their Buffalo Wings (Medium heat)which were tasty and meaty . Again,huge portion.Others in our party had one of their half pound burgers and a cup of chili. No one complained and said the food was delicious. Menu is huge!If you want a casual atmosphere with good food,this is a place to try. Outdoor seating available (Weather permitting). Street parking is available plus there is also a public parking lot in the rear of the building.

Burger was great, giant 1/2 lb burger with plenty of fries. Above average overall. Servers were nice and friendly. My only detractor is that it's very loud at times.

This was the only restaurant in the area that had a late night kitchen after attending a graduation ceremony so we were willing to wait for a table. Packed with families after a game and bar regulars this place was hopping on a Tuesday night. As soon as a party departed the staff was very quick to clean and reset with the manager/bartender helping out. Our server was fast, helpful and efficient but the real surprise was how good the food was. Everyone enjoyed the appetizer platter, chili, wings and burgers they ordered. Drinks were served fast and cold. Enjoy this classic neighborhood bar in a historic building when in Northbrook.

Great food, freshly prepared and plate presentation was on point. Service was good for outdoor seating because the waitress had to run in and out to serve the tables. (Only disappointment was that they didn't provide the umbrellas that day). Dog friendly with the outdoor seating- they'll bring your a water bowl for your pet. Easy to find street parking. Otherwise, there's a back parking lot as well. Many nearby shops to walk to after lunch or dinner. Would recommend you try!

I would have liked to give Landmark Inn Bar & Grille another star. There was no real wait, and all the outdoor seating was taken. We were told there was a short wait for a table indoors. We stood aside. Understand, there were four of us. One was over 90 years old and was having trouble walking. (That was obvious if you have eyes.)We entered in the rear, where there was a ramp. The wait station was on the other end of the patio, an easy walk for two of us, but not the third. After waiting a few minutes, they told us we had to walk down a small flight of steps to continue to wait. They were insistent, so we took my mother and carefully helped her down the stairs. They called us to go in as soon as we got to the bottom. It was difficult for her to get down the stairs and harder to climb them. They never should have told her to take the stairs. She is 4' 9" and takes up little space. That set me off and put me in a lousy frame of mind. That poor service was enough to walk away, but we were there anyway, so we decided to go in.Indoors, the Landmark is a bar and grille. It is mainly a bar with tables along the side. It wasn't quiet, but it wasn't loud either. They have a large menu with lots of options. My wife and I split a combination fajitas, my mom had the Mediterranean Veggie Wrap, and my son had the Lamb Burger. The fajitas were okay - I prefer ones from a traditional Mexican restaurant more than they served. The portion was ample. My mother enjoyed her meal. And my son really liked his burger.I'm disappointed in the ignorance of staff who don't notice that some people have challenges. The food was good overall. But they should have never taken the approach they did while we were waiting. For that reason, we will not return.

When ordering with a large group you expect some issues. None. Burger cooked as requested and hot upon delivery. We ate outside and everyone was very attentive.

Swung by after a soccer tournament (which we won!) for a drink and some food. They seated 12 of us super quickly which was great. The waitress was very nice and got our drinks out quickly. The only downside of the visit was my food; I opted for the special which was a feta burger with bacon...it had waaaay too much feta in it. Plus it was a creamy feta and really the only thing you could taste in it. It was supposed to have hot honey in it and maybe it did but I didn't even taste a hint of it with how overpowering the feta was. I would definitely give a different dish a shot though so would come back for sure.

This is a classic sports bar on the outskirts of Chicago not far from Chicago O'Hare international airport.The staff was very welcoming and when we arrived quickly put together 2 tables for our party of 6. The menu is extensive from starters, to soups/ salads, sandwiches, wraps and entrees. They even have a kid's menu. I am trying a twist on spanakopitas called Greek egg rolls. The Greek egg rolls were so delicious- I highly recommend this starter as a meal!!!!The owner will graciously suggest specialty Chicago beers and was willing to add salmon to one of their salads for a member of our party.The atmosphere is crowded as all sports bars are as the customers are focused on the 9 TVs focused on the World Cup.

Good food. I had the Monterey chicken sandwich, it was perfect for what I was craving. Staff were welcoming and attentive. I wish we lived closed or I would be here every weekend. Great casual spot for lunch or a few beers!

Sitting outside on a beautiful night. Wish we had the server in the blue shirt. She kicks butt. Taking care of all her tables. Our server did not come around. 15 min wait to order15 min to get drinks to the table. Emptied by the time the food was brought to the table by another team member. This No drinks with our food. Later the server in the blue stopped by our table to give us our drinks, and our server came by quickly followed. Asked is we needed anything else. Some extra wing sauce please. She never showed back up. We were told she had a big table in the front, and that we s why she was not able to serve us. So management should step up and adjust. My recommendation. Go to Stormys. Great wings and great service. Even when they are packed. Will not be coming back here.
