Lamberti Pizza and Market instantly caught my eye as I walked down Chestnut St after touring "America's Most Historic Square Mile," Independence Mall. Being that I am a foodie that absolutely loves pizza, I just had to stop in for a slice of pizza at this colorful restaurant that sat along my route.I ended up ordering a slice of margherita pizza for takeout being that I have never had margherita pizza before. Likely, if Lamberti Pizza was not near closed for the day during my visit, I would have dined in. One thing I adored while ordering was the conversation I had with the employee who was fairly new to Philadelphia. There were no disappointments in the slice of margherita pizza ordered. I was satisfied with the visual appeal of it, along with its taste which I enjoyed while looking for the nearest SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) transit.Being that I had a good ordering experience, I would surely order from Lamberti Pizza and Market again whenever in the area.~ Be Kind. Clean and inviting, that was my first impression. They are known for their pizza. And I have to admit it really looked good. They also have gourmet panini, sandwiches freshly prepared and salads. The service is fast and efficient. I had the fish sandwich and a pepperoni Stromboli! Both were fantastic. The bread is fresh and their dough is delicious. Great experience if you live here and a better one if you're visiting. They take all forms of payment. Fast easy and great food.

I've been seeing their Instagram posts that enticed me to check it out.This place is near the corner of 7 and chestnut. Upon entering you can find eating area, on the right you can find a freezer full of imported Italian dessert. So many options. On the left are prepared food such as salad, pasta, and other Italian dishes. On the opposite side of the fridge is the display of various pizzas that you can buy by the slice.I bought margarita pizza and square upside down pizza (cheese is under the pizza sauce). The pizzas were reheated before serving. Margarita pizza: the crust is light crisp, so delicious.Upside down pizza: the dough is thicker but still has a light crisp, strong garlic flavor with a touch of crushed red pepper, and melty cheese underneath the sauce. Finally a new pizza place in the Liberty Bell area! I went in today for the grand opening, and the owner was greeting people at the door and giving a mini tour of how the place operates.They have all your usual pizza options hot and ready to go by the slice. I got a couple slices and was definitely happy with them. They also do the usual hot foods such as chicken parm, cheesesteaks etc.Lamberti also offers a a refrigerated market section with a ton of pre-made Italian dishes in containers for you to take back to your office or home for later. Many things to choose from.Overall I was very impressed on day one with the clean, spacious store, the friendly staff, and quality of food. Definitely give them a try if you are in the area.

We had a huge event for youth and their families, and Lamberti's really came through. As expected, the pizza here is great -- we had the meat lovers, margherita, and BBQ chicken, and each disappeared like a Houdini vanishing act. The pasta was also fantastic -- the penne alla vodka, cheese tortellini alfredo, and rigatoni bolognese were all delicious. The tiramisu also received many compliments. A shout-out to Carmen who helped us navigate the expansive menu and provide some great recommendations -- both fast and friendly. Molto grazie to all; we'll definitely be back!
