I recently dined at Lafayette Steakhouse, a new addition to Brickell's vibrant food scene, and it was a stellar experience. The food was absolutely incredible, from the perfectly cooked hanger steak to the branzino, both of which were served with flavorful condiments that elevated the dishes. One of the standouts for me was the pork belly--crispy, succulent, and utterly delicious. And let's not forget dessert! The cookie was simply to die for--oozy on the inside, with a perfect crisp on the outside, a real must-try.The atmosphere of Lafayette is elegant, chic, and sophisticated, with darker shades that create a moody yet inviting vibe. It feels like stepping into a stylish escape from the bustling Brickell streets--a perfect setting for a special night out.The service was friendly, but admittedly a little on the slower side. However, the overall ambiance and quality of the food more than made up for it.Lafayette is clearly aiming to be more than just a steakhouse--it's an experience, blending the charm of a vintage steakhouse with a modern flair. I can't wait to return!

I was very excited to try Lafayette Steakhouse Miami. The pictures looked beautiful and the entire booking process made it feel very upscale and nice. We dined on a Thursday night, relatively early. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. The restaurant is very pretty and has a very sexy vibe. It is dark and there is jazzy music playing. As the evening progressed there was live piano music. The service was good and everyone was attentive and helpful. The server made several recommendations from drinks to food options. The tuna tartare appetizer was delicious however, it was very small. Their bread and butter were delicious however small and it came with a cost. For dinner I ordered the veal chop. It was also small as well as overcooked. I had requested medium and it was definitely well done. For dessert we had the apple dessert and the chocolate and peanut butter dessert. The presentation was nice but the taste was average. All in all the experience was nice. The prices were on the high side for what we ate.I also found that they had many requests of the guest but they were not really enforced. They request men wear jackets or dress shirts and there were several people without jackets and wearing casual Shirts and slacks.I probably would not return to dinner here. Miami has excellent restaurants at a much lower price point.

This place is so elegant. As soon as I walked in I was pleasantly suprised! This is the perfect spot for date night , anniversary or special dinner. The waiter was so help and nice. We did same day reservations. The decor is IG picture worthy! The food was so good! My favorite was the seas bas! They also have a live singer . We went on Saturday night it was very quiet and romantic

We've seen the evolution of this spot from The Lucky Clover to Tucan and now Lafayette. Came for our anniversary and was impressed by the place. Beautiful decor, food was outstanding and very friendly service from the minute we came in. Several missteps which could have made for a better evening.Called ahead and was informed there was no corkage fee, outside wines not allowed but saw several parties come in with their wines. Also reminded about strict dress code which we adhered to but again many casual t-shirts and sneaker crowd allowed in. We ordered tuna tartare with caviar which was very good but not enough won ton chips. Asked for a few more and charged extra $5.00... wasn't really expecting any extras for anniversary but would expect small desert or something, got a card instead... Not trying to nitpick but expected a little more for the money. Still a very nice place which could do a little more to take it over the top

I highly recommend the new Lafayette Steakhouse in the old El Tucan spot in Brickell. This two story steakhouse has a sophisticated old school 1940s Hollywood interior design that brings style and class. From the minute you walk in, you feel classic vibe surround the chic decor. More importantly, the food is top notch! We ordered the tuna tartare for an appetizer and is we by far the best I've ever had. In fact it was so good we ordered two! The Sea Bass and Skirt steak with fries and broccoli was the entree and both were perfectly cooked and perfection. To cap it off, we had the cookie and the strawberry cheesecake, which was one of the best I've ever had. The service was very attentive and very quick to attend to our needs. Glad to have Lafayette as a great addition to the Brickell dining scene!

Dined here on wednesday night, and had a superb experience. Yes, the restaurant is expensive (hello, Miami) but they definitely make it worth your while with the experience. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service from everyone (and I truly mean everyone) was top notch and super attentive. While some other "hip" Miami restaurants are purposely rude to make themselves appear exclusive, the staff at Lafayette was amazing, kind and polite at all times. Anthony was an wonderful waiter and had great recommendations. We tried a lot of dishes, among our favorite were the beef carpaccio, the fried chicken, seabass, and creamed corn.
