La Taqueria Mexican Grill

The food was not that good. Mexican food is much better in Philadelphia. The food was bland.

Visiting my daughter in North Carolina & wanted Mexican food. This place had excellent reviews. So we thought we'd give it a try.The food is definitely authentic Mexican. The girl behind the counter taking our orders was very helpful and explained a lot of the dishes to us. They have typical Mexican food enchiladas, tacos, burritos, flautas, etc. and all come with any type of meat that you wish. Chicken, beef, shredded chicken, ground beef, steak, beef tongue. The enchiladas, with three types of sauces which you can pick from, red sauce, green sauce, mole sauce.I ordered the enchilada dinner with the red sauce. It comes with beans and rice and a side salad. My husband had the burrito dinner which also came with beans rice and a salad. All the food is prepared fresh while you wait. It was all very good and all the prices were very very reasonable. Everything was excellent.The restaurant does have dine in seating but you go up to the counter and order what you want. There are several booths and then when the food is ready, they call out your order you go pick it up.No alcohol but several types of soft drinks, including Coca-Cola from Mexico.

The tacos are fantastic and the girl working the counter was so kind and helped me decide on what to get. I will be back! Great prices, food and service!

At La Taqueria, you'll find carne asada served up on a plate almost as big as a Mueller subpoena, not quite as juicy but still remarkably tasty. It's a huge serving of grilled beef with sides of fresh avocado slices, rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, a perfectly cooked poblano, and topped off with a pair of grilled green onions. And, several piping hot tortillas, corn or flour, wrapped in foil. The corn tortillas paired fabulously.The plantains were beautifully caramelized and served with crema and queso. Forget popcorn while watching #cnn, just sink your teeth into crema-queso-dipped plantain bites and watch the grand poohbah bluster his hubris-laden fairy tales shamelessly on the world stage. You'll be thankful to have something palatable to eat if the poohbah tells you that your own eyes and ears deceive you.Fast, quality service, and yes, the cashier we had was friendly as noted in another review or two.The high chairs were super clean, but the seating area not so much. A crumpled straw wrapper here, and a plate jumper there, draw a one star deduction from an otherwise excellent experience. Rock on, LT!!!

This place has incredible food! The staff is great and the food is quality and authentic. One of our go-to spots for tacos

Enchiladas with red sauce were awesome. Some of the best I've ever had. Real red sauce not spaghetti-o's sweet orange sauce. The chips were a little stale and the restaurant not very clean. Messy tables and empty salsa bar. And a worker sat in the back table with his phone BLASTING some YouTube videos painfully loud. Not even exaggerating. I'd do take out again easily. Large portions and hot so it would make it home to enjoy.

A hole in the wall in a strip mall. Had three tacos, asada, cabeza and al pastor, also had a papusa. Tacos were only $2 each and well filled. I knew the food was good, but when I noticed the clientele, I knew it was the real deal. Taco trucks are good, but this place puts most to shame!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and I was not at all disappointed. The portions were generous and prices very reasonable. Food was delicious and filling. The condiment bar had anything you could want on tacos. It's a great hole in the wall find!

I got pork, goat and barbacoa tacos, and they were good. They had a little bar where you could put toppings on it so that was cool. the chips and queso were god awful. The chips were stale and the cheese dip was cold. The cashier was super friendly and nice great service.

Great carne asada burrito with rice and beans. This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that have flavor in the area. We are from Arizona so used to spice.
