La Tapatia Westheimer

I come here at least once a week with my boyfriend. Food is always good, margs are on point and service is always good. I typically always sit at the bar and they do have their happy hour regulars there so that area can fill up quickly.

This was my first time here. We were greeted with welcoming smiles as we walked in and waited to be seated. The food was amazing, served fresh and hot. The portions are definitely Texas sized. Our server was Norma and she was very friendly and attentive to our needs. There is a bar area as well as a dining room. Perfect for a date or a family gathering. I will definitely be coming again.

Unfortunately we had a catering order for a nacho bar booked for a party and they just cancelled on us a week out. I highly recommend not relying on them for a party as you will be out of food like we are and we are scrambling for another option with a weeks notice. Very poor customer service and respect.

Better than Tap-a-Tio, which is when you f*** your Uncle I suppose.I like their horchata and I like their location on Richmond near my house in Montrose. The newer locations have a slightly lower quality of food and slightly higher prices, although every Tapatia is expensive, and that's why I only gave them three stars. It's not bad when it comes to Tex-Mex food - especially not for horchata.

Has always been one of my favorite places, but the prices are sky rocketing. Service was better before. People use to remember you. Love all the tvs with sports

We come regularly to this place as it is just around the corner. Waiters do get busy from time to time, but all of them seem to be very nice and attentive. My personal favourite are the street tacos, but I don't remember having anything bad here. The only reason this is not the only Mexican restaurant we eat at are the flautas. They make them with flour tortillas and I prefer them with corn.

Updated review from 11/16/23 review reflecting a 1 star rating. Above all, based on an email sent directly to the location I received a call from 2 gentlemen from this location - marketing rep/owner. This type of customer service blew my mind. Acknowledged my issue, apologized for the issue, resolved the issue. I re-visited the location this evening and had a happy hour experience that matched the food/drink.....excellent. 2 wait staff members I would like to recognize:Maria @ Westpark/Gessner David @ this locationBoth will ensure a great dining/drinking experience.

A friend suggested we meet here because she'd liked another location. We were a bit concerned to be the only ones there at lunch time. The chips and sauce were good. The entrees were very mediocre. Both of our orders were incorrect (our waitress hardly spoke English). They were corrected, but not very tasty. Rice was the best part. Service was attentive but we didn't enjoy the food.
