La Sicilia Italian Bakery & Cafe

Treats were great but my family will never come back here again after the treatment we got. We asked for napkins and a warmed croissant and as we went to a table to eat. He comes and takes the stool and says we can't eat inside - when it wasn't even crowded. He literally told us to get out that dine in isn't allowed. Wtf? Never had service like that for a bread that would have taken us 5 mins to eat. Will never come here again if that's the Christmas spirit we get. Such BS. I can't believe he said we can't dine in during holidays cus it's busy and no one was in there and then took the chair we were about to sit on.

These pastries look and taste like the ultimate treat. We loved the candied orange braid and the traditional cornetto - although I think we would either do a filled cornetto next time, or bring the plain one home to dip in hot chocolate (they don't have hot chocolate here). The pistachio raspberry cookie was chock full of amaretto so we could only take a bit each, but it's really nice. It's a cute little shop inside. Lots of parking. We got there about 10 minutes after it opened and unfortunately we were not met with the warmest service. We were in good moods and being kind, smiling, but the lady who served us seemed to not care that we were there. She was a bit cold towards us. Despite this we will be back to try more pastries.

Finally able to try this place. I was so mesmerized walking in because of all the displayed pastries! I was craving something with Nutella and was recommended one of their daily specials that was a pistachio covered pastry with Nutella filling. It was delicious. Also ordered a pistachio filled cannoli, almond croissant and a focaccia. The focaccia was topped with cheese and juicy cherry and grape tomatoes, it was pretty good. They are pretty friendly and service was fast. Will definitely come back to try more of their items!

Amazing pastries!!! Everything I have ever tried has been amazing! The employees are super helpful and patient. Cute, small bakery off westheimer! Would definitely recommend! Love gifting their pastries too since they are so beautiful!

Came here before work on Valentine's Day to pick up some pastries to take into the office. There were a couple of people in line in front of me but I didn't have to wait too long. When it was my turn, I asked the woman helping me to choose 6 of their most popular items. She happily made recommendations for me and everyone at the office really enjoyed them. The only item I purchased that people didn't absolutely love was the tiramisu. The best items I purchased were probably the Nutella and raspberry pinwheel and the Italian sausage focaccia. Will for sure be making a repeat trip but will likely be sticking to the pastry case next time!

I was in the area craving some baked deliciousness so I decided to stop in and give this place a try. I asked the staff member what he would recommend and he said their current special of a pastry filled with Boston cream and topped with dark chocolate and it definitely did not disappoint! The crust was buttery and flaky and perfect and the filling of dark chocolate was a nice touch with the Boston cream without being overly sweet. This was an $11 pastry. Not sure if I would have gotten it had I asked the price before hand but I'll consider it a nice little treat. They do have a chocolate almond croissant that I will definitely be back to try!

This is a fantastic bakery! We came here as we saw the head chef Diego on the Spring Baking Championship on the Food Network and we're so glad we stopped in for some treats. We came later in the morning on a weekend, so there wasn't much left, but what was left was still amazing. We grabbed some coffees and 3 pastries: an almond braided pastry, a chocolate glazed pistachio cartoccio and a cannoli cream-filled chocolate glazed pistachio cartoccio. These were absolutely amazing and we ate every last bit. We also grabbed some Italian cookies to go and these were a great treat to enjoy later in the day. This is a top notch bakery and we would 100% come here often if it was in our home city. If you're in Houston for any reason and love pastries, then make sure to come here!

Got two tarts to celebrate the long Thanksgiving holiday season- The Boston Cream Pie tart and the Pistachio tart. They were both amazing- fresh and yummy. Priced at $5 per piece, they seem quite worth the price for the standard the bakery maintains. A must try.

They sell out fast so get here early. I came thirty minutes after opening and was able to snag the last almond croissant. I thought it was delicious but was a little dry. I wish my cappuccino would have been served in a mug rather than a paper cup especially because they display a higher standard in the quality of their food that should also reflect in their service.
