This place is amazing. We moved here recently and we're so thrilled to find this gem. The tacos are amazing. I've been consistently getting the chorizo tacos and my husband has been getting the pescado tacos. He loves them. I want to try some of their other things but I'm always afraid of messing up a good thing. The only thing that I'd say is to be prepared to wait a bit for your food because even when we show up early, we still have to wait 15 minutes or so for them to make it.

Found this great little spot by a lucky chance while trying to find food after work this evening during this corona bs. The owner, Issa? (I believe that's his name I could be wrong. these masks muffles words). I was craving tacos too, so me and sis decided to order from this humble truck. So many options!!!!! That is the best, especially the options for tacos, in my opinion more the merrier! My sis was pleasantly surprised they had tripa (intestine) and I was excited they had lengua (beef tongue) so we ordered just that. The tripa taco took a little longer, which I did not mind at all (I always say- all good food takes time) Issa told me he wanted to make it on the crispier side, lots of customers prefer it that way. All in all it took about I'd say about 20 min. There wasn't really a line at 1030 pm, but I received wonderful customer service and he was just so nice and cheerful. The food: lengua taco looked epic. Nice crispy edges but very soft and flavorful could be the best lengua taco I've eaten in a looooong time. Came with a whole grilled onion , and two hot sauce on the side with limes. Perfecto! The tripa taco.............. OMG! Yes. So much yes! Yes yes yes! If you like the "weirder" stuffs, go for this! The intestine was crispy on the outside and just gooey and not so chewy like boiled intestine is. It was melt in your mouth goodness. The flavor was spot on! I really was going to steal my sisters plate (And keep my own) but I was soooo full! The portions were great! I believe it was 3 tacos for $9 (great pricing) It's Enough to get you full without making you feel like you over did it. Ahhh. I would definitely intentionally find this place again- or maybe order for delivery since they do that and deliver to my part of town of south philly. Thanks for the wonderful meal!

Really tasty tacos, Especially if it was the case that I was smoking weed. I really think that this is a solid food card even though I've only had one item on the menu. I just really am doing this yelp thing for free food because it's fun to get free food. Thanks and peace and love to all.

These Texan-Mexican American fajitas devours come from @lasartenexpressfood in south philly! This food truck sits right on 7th and Fernon street and they stay open until least 4am. They take debit and credit. The menu is really easy to read and navigate. While here, I was taken care of very quickly.m and my food didn't take long at all. I ordered the famous shrimp tacos. The shrimp was grilled to perfection with grilled onions, peppers, and warm fajitas wraps over a bed of orange rice. The food was absolutely amazing and very affordable! I will definitely return here in the near future but if you have a taste for some really bomb Mexican food truck food? Please check out @lasartenexpressfood and tell them Shimmy sent you! #food #foodporn #foodie #foodphotography #foodphotography #foodstylist #foodstagram #philly #philadelphia #shrimp #fajitas #mexico #mexicanfood #texas #texasfoodie #american #rice #water #art #pictures #latenight

This taco truck is open for late night cravings. They have a variety of tacos, tortas, snacks, small packs of medications, and drinks. How convenient is that?

Overpriced and not worth the wait. I got a shrimp burrito that was a bit boring. This neighborhood has plenty of Mexican options, so I wouldn't recommend this truck.

Absolutely amazing food that they make at La Sarten. Have never been so satisfied with Mexican food ever like how much La Sarten's nice and juicy Birria Tacos have. They have a nice delivery guy, excellent service and even arrived on time. The Birria tacos were absolutely brilliant. Theres other places where they charge $11-$15 for some skinny and thin tacos with barely any meat and spices on it however their Birria tacos are just filled up nicely with all that juicy and tender meat and you can taste the nice crunchy onions with the small bits of cilandro and the nice umami flavor coming from the perfectly melted cheese, absolutely brilliant. Also their radishes and lime are nice and fresh and it has that little kick of spice to it and the salsa verde and roja are both amazing they have that tangibg flavor that you want on your tacos it's delicious. The soup is even better. You can taste all the spices and if you add that lime to it it's even better. Would order from this place again and I will La Sarten makes the best food out there

Waited over 30 mins for 3 burritos with no one else waiting ahead of me. The food was underwhelming and left much to be desired. The rice was super dry and hard almost like they scraped the bottom of the pot for the last bits of rice. Food was bland and the protein used in each burrito was also overly dry. We came here because the usual truck we go to was closed, but for $13/burrito this will be a hard pass the next go around. There are plenty of taco trucks nearby. Do yourselves a favor and go to any one but this.
