La Santa is probably now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Raleigh. Simply put, it is a great experience all around. We always order a white queso if it's available at a restaurant, and La Santa's is the tastiest I've had in Raleigh. It's cheesiness was so flavorful and delicious without having to rely on spice from peppers. To follow that, our cocktails and my mole chicken enchiladas were also terrific. The service was not especially attentive, but they did their job well enough. And the interior stylings were very modern and clean. It had a cool date night vibe.If you're craving Mexican in Raleigh, this restaurant will be difficult to top!

Food safety problems. Both me and my wife got food poisoning from here. I'm concerned about the quality of the food safety and training at this establishment.

Definitely an authentic Mexican restaurant. We enjoyed the vibes of the staff and the restaurant. We sat outside and took in the views of downtown Raleigh. The food was good. The tacos were flavorful and filling and also came with a side of rice. The grilled fish had good flavoring and with the toppings provided a tasty meal. My only suggestion would be to add some type of bean along with the entree. It just seemed like something was missing and I would have enjoyed a refried bean with cheese on top along with the rice. Otherwise, a great Friday evening Mexican restaurant.

The inside of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful, perfect date night vibe for sure. Service is great as well, came here twice and we were seated quickly both times and served in a timely manner. Lots of cocktail options so there is definitely something for everyone here! I tried the chicken tinga tacos the first time I came and then I tried one of the shrimp tacos the second time. My only complaint was both times the tacos kind of fell apart on me after the first bite. However, the flavor was great and each order came with 3 tacos. Additionally, parking at the restaurant is a bit tricky since it's on Glenwood, so be ready to either parallel park or park in a nearby paid lot.

First and foremost, this place is a vibe. We came here for lunch and drinks. I'm a vodka girlie and the waitress (whose name I can't remember, which means the drinks great) had no problem switching tequila out for it. I had the Jalisco mule with vodka and it was phenomenal. We also ordered queso and the chips and salsa were yummy as well. For lunch I had the steak tacos and a side of rice. The steak was so flavorful! Always a good sign when it comes to Mexican food. As well as corn tortillas, which is mandatory in my book. My only gripe is that we sat out on the patio which was great, but there were a few people coming up and asking for money while we were enjoying our meal. Besides that, we really enjoyed the ambiance and I will definitely be bringing my boyfriend back to eat and try the drinks. We will probably just sit inside.

Overall this is a solid Mexican restaurant that is worth going to. It is located right one glenwood so going on the weekend parking is a nightmare. The service was a little bit slow which was disappointing, it took us awhile to receive our drinks. The drinks were okay they were not very strong. The food overall was good, nothing stood out but nothing was bad. Overall everything was okay, definitely more expensive than other Mexican places but it is on glenwood so that is expected. Biggest Positive: this place is much nicer than some other places on glenwood!

I tried to find a way to give this four stars but there's just no way to justify it. The food was very good, the service was very good, the prices were totally fair and the ambience was cool. What's interesting is this is a high concept restaurant with authentic home Mexican cooking. My Japanese husband doesn't love Mexican food like I do but he declared "best in my life". I wouldn't go that far but it's greatand will be part of our regular rotation when we're in town.
