A nice, little eatery for breakfast and Mexican bakery goods. Located in a small strip center in the Montrose. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is attentive and friendly. I had the Migas and my partner had the Chilaquiles along with their delicious coffee. All of the food is outstanding. Chef Diaz is famous for a lot great cooking, but in particular, mole. The last time I was in the restaurant I got him to autograph his entry in a cookbook featuring a recipe each from various well known Houston Mexican restaurants.

One of the hidden gems of Houston! If you know, you know! The food is incredible, delicious and fast. You can't beat their prices. And the service is so warm, inviting and family oriented. It's always packed for a reason. Such a great local find!

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim for a quick breakfast. The parking lot was small and packed and shared with a corner convenient store. The restaurant/bakery is fairly small but not crowded. There was an air of busyness and steady hum of kitchen work inside. The smell was great as I entered.I was shown to a small table. I mean a very small table. Maybe because I ordered so much food but the table felt a bit crowded. I was served a bowl of fresh tortilla chips and a red and green salsa that were both delicious. I think the red salsa edged out the green one this time, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes and a coffee. The coffee was amazing with a hint of cinnamon in it. The chilaquiles were very tasty along with the over easy egg on top. You have the option to order your choice of meat as well. I ordered barbacoa, which was tender, juicy and melted in my mouth. The beans that come with the plate were also very delicious and authentic. After polishing off the chilaquiles, I ordered a pozole to go which was also very good. Spicy and warm. The pork was tender and the hominy was just right. Throw in the jalapeño, cilantro and onion, squeeze in some lime and you're good to go. The tostada that comes along with the pozole is an excellent addition. While I didn't have a chance to sample anything from the bakery, I'll return soon to try it out.

An adorable little cafe. I was doing some shopping in the area when I realized I hadn't eaten all day so I got to yelping and this place was only 3 mins away. When I pulled up I wasn't too sure about the place as the parking lot was full and I had to drive around a bit to find a parking spot.Service was fantastic. When I walked in they had a waitlist, but I was open to sitting outdoors as it was a rare day in Houston where it was only 90 outside so they sat me immediately. They have lots of shade so it was perfectly fine. The food was delish! I got the chilaquiles verdes con huevos estrellados. They cooked the yolks to perfection. I plan to come back soon to try their carne guisada and some of their baked goods.

Such a simple little cafe but the food is completely fabulous. Chilaquillas better than Mexico, hot chocolate like yo abuela made it, menudo like your best Tia in the kitchen all served with sweet smiles and quick. Now I see what the hype is all about!

This is my favorite breakfast place. Food is always on top. They have the best mole in town. Service is also great. The only downside is the parking situation. Parking fills up easily but normally you can find some street parking in the neighborhood.

Small and friendly neighborhood bakery and cafe. You are greeted immediately upon entering, and provided fresh, light and crispy tortilla chips with red and green salsas. Both salsas are tasty and spicy without being too hot. Breakfast torta is served hot and soft in a homemade roll. Although the torta is huge, it is hard to resist eating the entire meal in one sitting. Absolute breakfast winner in the neighborhood.

This was so so good. Hands down best breakfast tacos I've ever had. Weirdly good coffee. I didn't know I liked cinnamon in my coffee. Who knew! Chilaquiles were on point but the breakfast tacos stole the show. Their tortilla chips were also excellent and not oily at all. We have only one day in town and might go back again.

Came for a bit of breakfast/brunch and almost missed it. Its a smaller, casual restaurant with both baked goods and sit down eating options. We were allowed to sit where we were comfortable and the waitress came by with chips and salsa. I ordered the chilaquiles with beef milanesa. The portion was HUGE and tasted great. I somehow finished it and was full for most of the day. I also tried the migas and thought that was also a solid choice. Def wanna come back for some great, flavorful, and affordable breakfast!
