I will admit that I went a little hard in the paint the night prior so I was looking for some sustenance in the morning the next day. We stopped by La Esquina for breakfast. La Esquina is a no-frills authentic Mexican restaurant and we were the only non-Hispanic people there. After sitting at the booth, I ordered an agua fresca and looked over the menu. I couldn't say no to the breakfast tacos so I went with three: one with chorizo, eggs, and cheese; one with ham, eggs, and cheese; and one with bacon, eggs, and cheese. There are few breakfast items I like more than breakfast tacos and La Esquina delivered. The scrambled eggs inside each taco were fluffy. The tacos were a good size and stuffed with all of the ingredients. No scrawny tacos here. They were large enough that I was only able to consume two and took the third to-go. Service was standard. Prices were reasonable.

Honestly, I should have trusted the recent reviews. After the recent closing of my favorite local taco truck (we miss you taqueria tropical!) we decided to give this one a try. We immediately regretted our decision as soon as we swiped our card for $20 for two tacos and a burrito, however it got worse from there. With each 10 minute increment that passed, we hoped this would be our new spot and it was just taking long because it was being made with love and care. Unfortunately after 45 minutes that was not the case. The tacos were incredibly dry, the burrito is mostly solid beans and maybe the worst offense of all was the lack of green salsa. I will probably never go back, even if I was drunk and starving this place wouldn't hit the spot.

After seeing the great reviews, La Esquina has been on list of places to check out for a while! We finally made it in this morning for some breakfast tacos. The girl who took our order was so kind and friendly. They have a very cute Instagrammable waiting area with a beachcomber, city signs, and flowers along with a bench to wait at. There is an outdoor seating area with plenty of tables and a restroom too. It's a pretty decked out food truck in terms of amenities. We tried two of breakfast tacos - the chorizo and egg and the bacon and egg both on flour tortillas. They were unbelievably good! The tortillas are homemade and the green sauce was thicker than usual with great flavor and the perfect amount of heat. We can't wait to go back to try the Friday plate, and rumor has it there's free beer on Thursdays and Fridays! I can't believe it's taken us this long to check out L Esquina, but we now have a new favorite taco truck in Houston!

First off Joey is an absolute professional and understand marketing and business relations. He treats you like family and is very genuine. The way he does business is a lost art. You can tell he really cares about the food he is putting out along with caring about his clients!Food: the breakfast tacos here are absolutely amazing! Some of the best breakfast tacos I've had in a very long time! Very fresh crunchy tortillas. I am a huge fan of the Tortillas here I am not sure what extra special touch they are giving here but man there Tortillas are very good! The breakfast taco with eggs bacon potato and cheese was so good! Full of flavor. The homemade spicy green sauce is to die for! Very tasty and full of flavor. The green sauce is special here. The bistec taco was just as good as well. You can tell they make your food fresh when you order it! These people are doing a great job! Staff: the staff here is very friendly and nice. There are so many great taco joints in this area, and La Esquina was just added to my list. I walked over there for a grab-and-go breakfast (woke up craving breakfast tacos and a fizzy Topo Chico), and La Esquina hit the spot. Aside from breakfast tacos (with choice of homemade corn or flour tortillas), they also have breakfast bowls, breakfast gorditas, breakfast tortas, lunch burritos, burrito bowls, lunch tacos, lunch gorditas, lunch tortas and quesadillas.Top it off with an agua frescas, Topo Chico, Mexican Coke, and other Mexican bebidas. And coffee is $1.25. Phone orders accepted#eastendiswhereitsat

OK... I don't like to over hype places, but LAWD HAVE MERCY! First I just want to say the amount of positive energy the girl who took our order had (Andrea) is unmatched. She was funny, charismatic, and thoughtful! Next the food was absolutely phenomenal! On top of that the serving size is a steal for the amount you pay! I would pick eating here over a restaurant any day! Then to make this place better they had an outdoor seating area or indoor seating area with A/C. In conclusion, COME EAT HERE! You will not be disappointed and if you are... stop hating. Lol.

Ive been wanting to check out this place since i've been seeing it all over my instagramfeed. Yesterday was finally the night! We went around 8 pm. there was no line or crowd.the lady taking our order was the sweetest ever! she complimented my nails and made menu recommendations.we ended up getting two campechanas, a tortaspecial, and a primo taco since i had been dying to try it. If you don't know, their primo taco is a keto friendly taco made out of a cheese shell instead of a tortilla. I though i would miss the tortilla but I totally didn't, ir was the best thing I tried in my opinion. We also had an horchata, and it was one of the freshest tasting ones i've ever had! They also have a small patio with seating, and a cute little corner for photo ops.

I absolutely love that I found this place! If I could eat here every day I would. Their prices are so damn good and their food is even better. I love their homemade tortillas! I've been here a few times already and will definitely return again and again. Their service is fantastic too. First time I went I order chicken tacos with a Mexican coke. Delicious! Their horchata is reallllllllly good! My son ordered it and he shared with me, he loved it as well. Their bowls are really good too. I hope they stay around!

Ay, I am hesitant in telling you about this outstanding find. I've kept it to myself for over a month. Parking isn't plentiful and neither is seating, the more of you that come the harder it will be for me. Yet, if you don't come they may go out of business and I really love the food, the salsa, the aguas frescas, desserts, everything is muy delicioso. It's directly across the street from the "HAM", the Mural Museum. Don't go in the restroom. Like, shit! Best restroom you'll be in all day. They don't have a liquor license so there's never any beer, but guys tonight October 18, 2019 for the Baseball game they are providing FREE beer. Besides it being a taco truck with some really awesome food, it is taco truck cheap. I can barely get out of my seat every time I come and I could find change to pay for it all ofn the floor of my Jeep. Less than $15.00 bucks for a full belly, drinks, and the game. It doesn't get better than that!

I was a bit bummed out the first time I came here because the truck had electrical issues so was close for business but I think it made my want for a burrito stronger. I came the second time around a few weeks later and luckily they were open this time. The ladies working the truck are very nice and friendly. In terms of the food, the burrito is definitely a hefty one and can fill you up and then some. I thought the bistec was great. 4/5The salsa is what tipped me over into giving this place a 5 star review. It is so dang good. I'd also like to think this is a more reasonably priced burrito, my total came out to be around 12 bucks tip included. Next time I go I'll probably get the chicken and maybe dabble in the tacos.
