Ordered some food to go. Al pastor, asada, and lengua tacos. The tacos are smaller than other places I've been but they're good taste wise. I more so would come back for the burrito. Fries comes with the burrito which is a pretty nice deal. Got a chorizo burrito and it was tasty, cheesy. Nice proportion of ingredients. The salsas were great too, something about it is just better than other salsas I've had. Also ordered a horchata and it was huge but has a lot of ice. They also have a strawberry horchata on the menu that I really want to try next time! It wasn't available that day. Can't speak on service too much since we just ordered take out but wait was reasonable. It seemed like they were pretty busy, we saw a lot of large orders being put out before ours so I understand it taking a while to get our food.

Came here for work lunch. The menu has a large selection of meats. I had the chicken, steak, and al pastor on each sopes. My fave was the al pastor, deliciousss. My coworker had the chicken burrito. Looks great, but the chicken was super dry for some reason. The place is quaint. The server is very nice. Wasn't very busy. You should be able to eat and hurry back to the courthouse within an hour of lunch.

|The Food|The waiter started us with chips with frijoles and shredded queso fresco with a side of red salsa and green guacamole salsa, SPICY, I can handle the spiciness so I was fine, but add as much salsa as you can handleThe food is really good I ordered 3 tacos de bistec that order comes with...* three tacos de bistec - steak, cilantro, and onions* slices of cucumber* slices of turnip* slices of lime My boyfriend ordered 2 gorditas de tinga that order comes with...* 2 gorditas - tinga de pollo - lettuce - shredded queso fresco* Slices of cucumber* slices turnipWe ordered one cup of horchata, I wouldn't say one cup, but a whole blending machine cup LMAO, but the horchata was good like any other good Mexican restaurant, nothing really special.|The service|The service was meh. The waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there. But he got everything we wanted, so no complains thereOther than that service was ok|Ambiance|The place is very culturelized, I don't know how else to explain it but, they had the whole restaurant filled with the Mexican decor, it's very nice. The tables are nice as well, dark wood

Solid new Casa Mexicana on Markley Street, right in front of El Primo Mercado and Cafe. Limited parking in front, with much more behind. Bright and colorful with a limited menu of their greatest hits. Friendly, efficient service from the lovely woman working the floor. I ordered their Cemita Poblano Torta, a supersized fresh sesame seeded roll full of spicy ground beef, queso fresca, lettuce, red salsa, al pastor style. It was a huge work of edible art. Hot bites and I could only manage to consume half while sitting at a high top table. Took the rest home. They did bring two bowls of red/green salsa to me, but the chips never arrived. On the other hand their horchata was a chill, refreshing and cinnamon flavored liter of strong slurp. At $2 for the "small" size, it was the bargain of the day. Given a choice between this "Mexico City Woman" restaurant and El Primo about 100 feet away, I would go with El Primo based on more choices and stronger kitchen talent, although the former rice drink was more flavorful than the later. Norristown and environs continues to impress with its broad array of comidas Latina Americanas.

Chicken torta is huge for the price! Definitely a bang for your buck. It's layered with two thin chicken cutlets, pickled jalapeño, red peppers, beans, tomato, and avocado. The bread is a sesame bread that holds up to all of these savory toppings. I really liked the salsa verde that accompanied the torta as well. My husband got three tacos--carne asada, chicken, and al pastor--and while he liked the tortillas more than the ones at El Primo (right behind this establishment) he felt that the flavor of the meat wasn't as impressive as El Primo's. Still tasty, though! He said he'd come back for the torta, but maybe not for the tacos. Had a flan for dessert that was pleasant to eat as well. Neither of us eat a ton of flan so we can't really compare it to anything, but we enjoyed it.

Our waitress was sweet and the service was great. They start you off with chips topped with beans (not enough beans in my opinion) and two salsas (super spicy!) for free. The prices compared to the portion size is fair and the flavor is definitely there, so totally worth it. I will definitely be coming back to try something more on their extensive menu.

Mild language barrier, so you might want to grab a menu ahead of time. Good service, good food last time we had it, but our bag had some tiny hitchhikers in the middle of winter. Kinda ruined the meal.
