Listen, their Birria tacos are so good I am tempted to get them every day. They are the best I ever had, and at this point I'm getting them every few days.They're always so quick, and even when I get them through Grubhub, they're piping hot. And the consume is so delicious oh my god.They also give 3 pieces of lime, and red and green sauce. The green sauce I think is a salsa verde and it's so tasty I open up my tacos and pour some in it along with the squeeze of lime (I also squeeze a little lime into the consume).3 birria tacos and consume for $12 is the best lunch!

Good tacos close to home. I tried a torta on one visit. They are HUGE. They took a Mexican torta and Philly-sized it. If quantity is what you seek, get a torta.But the tacos are even better. They are almost overstuffed with meat. The tacos are more than enough for a meal. I like the carnitas best. My husband loves the quesabirria tacos. They have various Aguas frescas and sometimes specials. Atmosphere is very casual, but it's comfortable to dine in.

The lady at the counter was very friendly. I had birria tacos with fried maduros on the side. Each taco had 2 tortillas so it was very filling. They were ok. Maduros were sweet and not burnt.They accept credit cards but there's 3.75% fee.

Best burrito I've outside of the mission in SF. Loved the cute little seating area, perfect for a quick lunch. Staff was incredibly friendly and kind to me.

I walked past this place and saw their cute menu posted on the wall, great reviews on Yelp and knew I just had to try this local spotThe birria taco sounded good and I haven't had one in years.. so I cheated on my diet and tried theirs and no regrets! The birria tacos and the consome were delicious, as were the 2 salsas that came with it. I enjoyed dipping in the consome, and then sometimes swapping between the 2 other salsas. My dog liked the beef too lol there was too much for meThe consome was so delicious, reminded me of the umami from Taiwanese beef noodle soup - so the next day I made a noodle soup using the leftover consome. Man there's so much good Mexican food in Philly! I had a craving for a burrito and wanted to try something new and saw this place popup. It's open until late afternoon so I got a steak burrito for lunch. I shoulda took picture after I took a bite but hopefully you can see from my video how big this thing is. The sauces it comes with taste fresh and flavorful.The woman at the counter was super friendly and my food was ready really quickly. Am definitely going back to try other stuff.I went back and tried more stuff and took more pics. This place is legit. The chicken in the chicken quesadillas was seasoned well. I really enjoyed the birria tacos as well, plus they're huge! The carnitas were also good but I'm not the biggest fan of carnitas tacos. Take a look at the pics. I think the best thing here I tried was their burrito.

Moved here from SF almost two years ago, and finally found my go-to Mexican spot! I'm here about every other week. The food is is awesome -- can't go wrong with anything. I'm partial to the shrimp and quesabirria tacos. The salsas are outstanding. My only regret is that I can never finish the food in one sitting. :P I only wish they were open for dinner, but there are a Mom and Pop shop and I can understand that they can't work 20 hours a day! The lady at the counter is a sweetheart. Love, love, love La Catedral.

Order my food to go and we didn't wait long. The lady that took our was so nice. Inside was so nice, such a clean and open atmosphere. I ordered Birria tacos with a side of potatoes and it was very delicious and filling. We also ordered chicken quesadillas, and 2 orders of chicken tacos. My family members enjoyed it. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in Philly!

Awesome lunch time tacos! Reasonably priced and absolutely lovely service. I had the Carnitas tacos and it was some of the most authentic Carnitas I've had in a while

I don't leave reviews often but this place was too good for us to be the only ones in there! Amazing food, super fair price, and the women inside were so friendly. Did not get a photo of the burrito but it was 10/10 must get. Definitely go here, just became one of our favorite Mexican spots in Philly!! Hidden gem for sure
