Atmosphere: Kurama is a lively and festive Japanese and hibachi restaurant. The room we were in had four large tables, each with their own grill. The seating at each table was arranged so that people at different tables were facing each other, which was nice as you could see all members of your group. Service: We had a reservation for a large group, but we still had to wait around 20-25 minutes to be seated. It also took a little bit to get our hibachi chef to come out. Our chef was friendly and entertaining! Food: We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and Sake Bomb. Before the entrees came out, we were served soup and salad, which were both pretty good. The Chicken Teriyaki was grilled in front of us and came with fried rice and vegetables. The Chicken Teriyaki was pretty basic, and the chicken itself was rather dry. Kurama also serve a large side of yum yum sauce with the Hibachi. We didn't really think the flavors of the yum yum sauce and teriyaki chicken went well together, but some of the other people at our table enjoyed the combination. Besides that, Kurama was quite generous with their servings, so we were definitely full by the end of our meal. The Sake Bomb was good, but since the tables were pretty solid and dense, it was more difficult to do the classic Sake Bomb chant without putting significant force into the table. Overall: Kurama is a good one-time experience for a large group celebration. The servings are plentiful, but the food can be on the salty and dry side. Even with a reservation, it felt like we waited at least a good hour before we actually started eating our main meal, so plan accordingly if in a large group.

Went here tonight with the whole family for a celebration. I haven't been here since before Covid. So it's been a really long time since we've been here. It's typical hibachi style restaurant. We all ordered the same main course, salad, soup, hibachi vegetables, fried rice, steak, shrimp, and chicken. It's a great deal if you sit by 7 PM it's $55.00 per couple for all that. The food was all cooked well we all enjoyed everything. The service is consistent they are always asking us if we wanted more to drink if we want more more sauces, or anything they're always trying to please you here. The ambience consistent with a hibachi style restaurant. they do have a sushi bar and a nice bar. Where you can wait before you enter the restaurant, I highly recommend this place, especially if you go in with a group of people.

Daniel was our waiter he was great. We was there Thursday Dec 21 around 530 or 6 pm. The cook was terrible he didn't do any tricks. He didn't season our food properly. It was my cousin 1st time and it was the worst experience I've ever had at Japanese restaurant. The only good thing was the food was decent. He told us he don't do tricks. That was very rude. I thought that was their job.

A mountain of food + entertainment Okay, we all know you don't go to hibachi because you want to eat fine asian cuisine. You go because you want a giant pile of stir fry and fried rice with a side of entertainment. This place delivers just that. Our chef had a ton of energy and legit hilarious. We were shocked at how much food each person got. Legit a mountain. Ribeye and shrimp was lit. Chicken was okay (they use breast so it was a little dry) but still good. They almost expect you not to be able to finish as they preemptively give you to go boxes toward the end. They also were very accommodating as we brought in a cake to celebrate a friend's birthday. Staff is great. Overall, had a great hibachi experience here, would recommend.PSA: We thought we were going to get onion volcanos but we did not. Probably have to ask for it. So if you want it, make sure to ask. Don't ask don't get.

3 of us went here Friday night for dinner. We got our name on the list and was told it was a 30-minute wait. Our party waited outside, right by the front doors with a group of others. After 25 mins, I went inside to confirm we'd be seated soon, and was told they already called our name, and when we didn't answer, they seated another party and that we'd have to go back on the wait list. We had a great dinner at the Mexican restaurant 5 mins away. So I can't rate their food or their atmosphere. I can only rate that they really suck at calling people for reservations 8 feet from their front door.

Food was great, portion size was good. I just didn't like that the place was smoky, and had a burnt smell lingering in the air.

Food tastes awful for its price. Too much soy sauce. I ordered Hibachi scallop and it is spoiled. I took one bite and spit it out. We didn't bother to refund, but us leaving our plate untouched should send them the message. Sushi was very dry. Only good thing was the dessert. Too bad we went here because of yelp recommendation. Waste of money.

This restaurant is built in a previous restaurant location, not sure what but definitely odd. We were lead all the way back to the last hibachi table. The grill was on and no vents were running so we were sweating from the heat. The grill looked very dirty. Like old grease on the overhead vent, the air vents and the lamp that was above. The food was subpar but if you're looking for discount hibachi and you don't care about sanitation ratings, this is the place for you.
