Kovacs Market

The most joyous of rating upgrades. Four years departed nonetheless. Pictured is half a large Italian and half a small turkey. I see why my first rating was a 4 on the turkey, it's good but not blowing faces. To be fair, you gotta have awfully good fixins to take a turkey to a 5 count. You want to see it but it ain't easy not being cheesy. Kovacs got good fixins but it's deli style fixins, they're not going to the county fair tryna win medals. Kovacs does come correct on the bread which is such an obvious miss for many in the area. Nice soft airy hoagie roll like ya like it.The Italian though is the winner. The meat to sandwich ratio is elite, and the meats themselves were top top. I honestly didn't take time to pinpoint what about the meats were so good cause I straight inhaled this hoagie. Needless to say I'm coming back.Thus far best hoagie in the locale for sure.

Kovacs never disappoints. Fantastic sandwhiches - so fantastic that I go 30min out of my way for lunch for the best hoagie you'll ever have. From meatball subs or turkey and italian hoagies, the sandwiches are a must try. Try the Joe tea! I was a snapple lover but they put me on to Joe Tea

Real deal. Super nice owner and the hoagies are fantastic. The place is down and dirty but don't let that stop you .

Local cop here. yes you may not like me, unknown reader, but you gotta admit I'm gonna know the places to eat.This place is IT for hoagies. Staff is super nice too, good quality meat and fair pricing, def go here

I LOVE Kovacs. The owner is the nicest, friendliest man ever. On my second visit, he recognized me and remembered what I ordered the visit before. I love their hoagies and he has generously offered samples of the hot roast beef and chicken cacciatore while he was making my turkey hoagie and it all was PHENOMENAL! My husband even said "that's one of the best deli sandwiches, ever." And he's a tough judge!

I believe it was the owner who made my sandwich. He seem to know everyone coming in for lunch. I moved from out of state and some of the places I have been so far were not as friendly as I am used to. So it was really nice to see he was interested in his customers and friendly. I got a smoked turkey hoagie and it was great, lots of meat and the peppers were great.

I went in for a breakfast sandwich. There were egg and cheese w choice of meat. Pork roll , ham , sausage, or scrapple It was tasty w a good amount of each ingredient. The chip selection is impressive along w the energy drink selection but I grabbed a large earl grey tea which came w the breakfast sandwich for $5. Can't beat it anywhere. Wawa is good, but I will be coming back here too. One guy was working. He was friendly and earnest. Probably the owner. Support small biz too!

Deli atmosphere and a few staples. Every kind of soda you could want! Great sandwich and daily specials! Not cheap but worth it. Very nice owner. Love that place

OK the original Kovacs has not been seen in many many years. But the man who is in this place for at least the last 10 years is really personable, happy, and treats his customers well.He's old schooled in the fine art of conversation. How he is able to carry-on the best conversations while making your hoagies and ringing you up I'll never be able to figure out. The owner of Kovaks is Media, Pennsylvania's best multitasker!His store is filled with all the items you need for your home, for lunch or a snack. His Hoagies are fabulous because he knows how to make a traditional Philadelphia hoagie the right way even though there is no doubt he was born elsewhere. I just think he has a gift of being able to figure things out and do it well.I love the selections he has for beverages. They run the range from all the normal ones you expect but then he has unusual beverages as well. His chips and snacks selections leave nothing to be desired. And, he is right across from the train station. No wonder his deli is always full of people. So as I eat my great hoagie during the Super Bowl I suggest to you : Try it. You will thank me me.

What a wonderful experience I had @ Kovac's today. I went in to buy hoagie sandwiches and the gentleman there was so lovely. Very congenial. Made the best hoagies, freshly cut and made to order. So fresh. He gave my niece a sweet treat for the 4th . It was such a delightful experience. So highly recommend. I will return often.
