It was good, but ridiculously expensive. I have never eaten at a restaurant that did not give free refills on iced tea. Everything was a la carte, my bill at lunch time was $30. That included $6 for two iced teas. Yes the food was good, unfortunately it was not the kind of Indian food I was hoping for, but I did find something I liked. I cannot recommend this place because of their prices. It definitely was not worth $30, which did not include the tip.

My husband and I drive by this restaurant saying each time that we should go eat there. Well, we did and WOW. The service was incredible, thank you Bushra, and the food was so delicious, thank you Imtiaz! It looked to us that this restaurant was doing quite a bit of take out/delivery business. I would recommend going in at least once to experience the atmosphere and the people. We will definitely be going back.

Last night was my 2nd and perhaps last visit. The first one was during Sunday brunch 6-7 months ago and it was nothing but a disappointment. The 2nd visit was 10/06 "Dinner Buffet" for $14.95. I was dragged in by my other half and it seems like nothing has changed since my first visit. The place was packed but food trays were empty. The food did not taste good and there was no backup to refill any empty dishes. It was a chaos! On top there was no dessert and they also ran out of tea. We were forced to buy water bottles since there was no water pitcher, no utensils and they ran out of styrofoam plates as well. I am not sure how this place will keep their doors open and for how long? The two stars for the girls who were helping customers with a big smile.

Now under New and creative ownership! Chef Zaheer had a long resume of impressive restaurant and hotel catering positions in many countries in the past. He is ultra friendly. The first few times they didn't even charge me for tea to go. I have seen them sitting at a table, dining with their staff together. That's the mark of a good owner. Food:They've decided to focus the menu on a few unique high quality items and perfect them and so far that looks to be a very good strategy. I tried the green chutney chicken and it was very tender. The chicken zinger burger also hit the spot.Tea/Chai:I absolutely love the tea here because it's karak and flavorful. I frequently stop by to get some on my way home. It is bold and really goes well with anything. Buffets:They have a Wednesday night nihari buffet that looks out of this world with unlimited bone marrow versus what you'll pay 20 bucks for at a restaurant. They have a Sunday buffet with breakfast that will knock you out and make you sleep the rest of the day because there are so many items. I've yet to try out more as as they get situated. Heard the biryani and bihari are good. They even are offering a daily lunch tiffin delivery for the same price as fast food, but in this case you'll get a home cooked meal.Very innovative and nice folks. Give them a try. They will come by and talk to you and are a blast to chat with.

I was driving to an account before lunch and saw Kohinoor in the same parking lot. I ordered the chicken Byriani to go. Nice dining room and they certainly offer table service for dine in. The server behind the counter warned me it is a "bit spicy" since I'm a gringo. It was spicy and delicious and very authentic using bone-in chicken. I personally prefer boneless so maybe a bit too authentic for my taste.Very well prepared and very generous portions. A good choice and scratched my itch for South Asian quisine.

Food not tasty. Service horrible. They were basically out of everything the day we went and it was right when they had opened. All they kept saying was we apologize. They were under staffed. Service was extremely slow.

Have been there a few times, and while the first visit was terrific, subsequent ones have not been as good. Fewer menu items, pretty relaxed service, food good but not outstanding either. May try agsin but they are off of our favorites list.

Have gone here many times. The chef is unquestionably talented. The food is usually very good. However, the husband-wife owners host a dizzying range of events from Nihari Night to High Tea and EVERYTHING in between. I think this is where they struggle. In an attempt to draw in new customers and keep things interesting, they try to do too much with the constant new events and buffets. The result either falls flat or is chaotic. In my opinion, not that they asked me: reduce and simplify your menu, and stop all/most of the hungama events. Choose a dozen or so dishes for your menu and do them well, every single time. Customers want consistently excellent food, not constant variety. Most of my friends have tried the restaurant and unfortunately have very strong opinions about it, mostly against! I disagree with them. Chef Zaheer is skilled and knows how to cook. They just need to stop all the crazy events, fine-tune their best dishes and keep serving those. What is Kohinoor known for? What are their signature dishes? No one knows. Get the basics perfect every time (karhai, biryani, tikka etc.) and then you'll have a loyal customer base that will return again and again. Wishing you best of luck!
