I happened to be in downtown for a conference, so I am not really familiar with places to eat. There are a ton of choices from what I learned, but I am so glad we chose this place. You have to walk through an indoor hallway of sorts, but it's visible at the end of the walkway. The man who took my order was so nice and patient. He explained the daily lunch special and told me to just sit after I ordered and he'd bring me my food. The lunch special comes with a soup and is cheaper than the menu items. He also brought to go containers as I wasn't sure if we were going to finish it all. I loved what I got, the kung pao chicken. It came with white rice. The pad Thai was a huge serving. You choose which protein to add with your meal. So if you're in the area and want some quick and yummy food, come here!

Found out about Kitsune from an IG post and put in on my "must-go" list for the maybe 2 times a year I go to Miami. With how infrequently I go to Miami, and how excited I was to try this place, it ended up being a major let-down and I wish I would've tried one of the many other restaurants on my list. You first walk in, and the theme is the same overplayed Anime theme that so many Asian restaurants are doing now. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because it's Chinese food, with a Japanese theme? It then all makes sense when you get the food. The popular Japanese theme and restaurant name is to attract customers, but then they serve sub-par Chinese food. The great thing about this place, is they have a ton of options for vegetarians/vegans. Any bowl can be replaced with tofu. We got one honey garlic chicken bowl and one general tso's tofu bowl. The tofu was insanely gummy. Felt like you were eating cubes of jello. The sauce was good, although there might have been too much. On the other hand, the honey garlic chicken bowl had very little sauce and was pretty dry, along with the fact that the chicken was so incredibly soggy. I get crispier chicken at Panda Express. The rice in both dishes were pretty bland, which was okay for the tofu bowl as it had a ton of sauce, but not-so-okay for the honey garlic chicken bowl which had no sauce to toss the rice in. 3 cans of soda, and 2 bowls, came to about $40. All in all, it was not worth the money, the trip, nor the $20 parking. I'm giving two stars because of the options for people with restrictive/different diets and the fact that while the food wasn't good, it was edible.

I ordered the chicken dumplings (shown in the picture) and the honey garlic chicken entree which came with a side of rice. I eat at Asian inspired restaurants almost everywhere I go in different areas of the country or the world and this is the best dumplings I have had. The place was also clean and nice service. The restaurant is kind of hidden, you have to walk into a building with different store fronts and find it at the end. All together, my total for the entree, appetizer, and drink was $25. Highly recommend!

Asian food (for me, Japanese) has a touch of art and taste and that is something that I respect to the most. I'm not expecting omakase style (which I love) but I was expecting something that was good enough to give 3-4 stars. Although I loved the decor, there was really no taste in what I ordered. I still ate it, but wasn't the best but wasn't the worst either. I think they can increase their potential if they wanted to, and they'll do even better.

CLASSIC AMERICAN CHINESE TAKE OUT!! Really enjoyed kitsune. Prices were UNBEATABLE and portions were very generous. I went here during a Miami heat game and it was empty thankfully. The general tso chicken was highly pleasing and the fried rice was cooked the way I love. Nothing I'd change about this place. Location is inside a funky mall(?) thing and adds to the already cute decor. Food came quick and servers were respectful.

If you're looking for authentic Asian cuisine you have to check out Kitsune House! Great location to grab a bite before a long party night in downtown Miami or just in general. The art you're surrounded by really brings the vibes and so does the music! The service was quick and our server was also amazing! Highly recommend this spot!
