i've been meaning to go to kitchen 17 for a very long time; however, it was never convenient for me to go and i decided to just go out of my way one day to try it. 100% worth it! i will be back. i ordered bbq cauliflower wings (because i heard they were AMAZING), mac n cheese, and a traditional deep dish pizza to test out the waters. the cauliflower wings were genuinely some of the best i've ever had. the breading stayed on the wing and the bbq sauce was delicious! i liked how they weren't super soggy despite being soaked in sauce, and the pieces of cauliflower were large and well-cooked. the mac n cheese was also pretty tasty; i want to try it in a pizza next time i go! speaking of pizza, the traditional deep dish pizza was amazing! i was introducing my friend to deep dish pizza, and this was a wonderful example. the crust was thick, crispy, and held up very well against the pizza fillings. the seitan pepperoni was my favorite! i saw they had a massive case of desserts, and while i already had plans, i'll definitely be sure to get some next time.the service was good, but there was definitely no rush to get the check. i like the atmosphere of the vegan metal bar, and the walls were decorated with many interesting little things to keep my attention. there was always something new to look at! i went at a time where it wasn't packed, but i imagine it would probably be on the louder side.

Yeah, I went back here for lunch, and now I feel bad leaving my earlier review up without further comment.The pizza was somewhere between mediocre and awful. Damp cardboard-tasting crust, cheap tomato sauce, big undercooked slabs of seitan pepperoni. The sweet potato fries were soggy and stuck together in clumps.I swear it wasn't like this before. I don't know, maybe I just caught them on an off day.

Place is interesting. Had a first date here. He is vegetarian so he picked this place. I wish he hadn't haha. Food is ok. We shared the buffalo cauliflower wings, they were very good. I then got the Giardiniera grilled cheese, not my vibe. Messy, taste was not there. Drinks are ok. Normal bar selection.

the Cauliflower wings were unbeatable. Crunchy crispey texture great, sauce perfect, served warm, highly recommend. Great ranch dressing! The pan dish pizza 12 inch size was ample and came out nice and toasty. I was not a big fan of the cheese but the crust was yummy. Our salad was good and a nice generous portion. I liked how the salad greens were a surprising variety. The food was lovingly cooked and these folks know their vegan cuisine. Service: one man seemed to be handling the bartending, hosting, taking our order, and handing off food to the delivery persons on a friday evening. He was not behind the bar most of the time so i felt like there was no one working in the restaurant a lot of the time. I ordered a salad and my companion ordered a pizza and we planned to dine on our respective dishes together but the pizza came out later than the salad. So by the time it came out we were full from eating the salad. I liked how we were left alone and overall it was a nice laid-back ambiance.Ambiance: The restaurant was decorated in a Mardi-Gras, halloween, Christmas ornamented Dive Bar way. It looked like it needed a good cleaning, door was full of smudges, floor needed a vaccuuming, table top did not seem too clean. A few flies were buzzing around. Lively music was playing and luckily it was not too loud so we could converse.

Going into this place was a little different with strange pictures on the walls and creepy decor. Kinda like the place was decorated for Halloween and something was ready to pop out at you to scare the daylights out of you. The bathrooms are even creepier. It was dim in there, lit by a bluish black light and creepy paintings on the wall. With that said there were also familiar things mixed in there like pinball machines which were free to play. At the bar area I noticed an old video game from my childhood (Mega Man) playing on the screen. They gave us a controller and we started playing as we waited. There were also a plethora of games there to kill the time as you waited. This was awesome as the decor mentioned earlier wasnt so bad when your focus was on other things. By the way, the staff was super friendly and noticed a little refrigerated section that was all vegan desserts. We tried the turtle cheesecake and salted caramel brownie. Oh!!!! This were the most delicious treats!!!! i forgot to take pictures. Now on to the pizza! The whole reason we came here was to finally try a vegan chicago pizza...and they did not disappoint! This was so delectable and savory. I forst tried the Jalapeno popper which I was curious to try this weird combo but it bursted with flavor! Heavy on the awesome sauce and home made cheez the way I like it Its a deep dish. Know what to expect. Very filling You gotta try this one. So when I ate The traditional one it wasnt as tasty to me after eating the unique Jalapeno popper. Kinda like driving your dependable satisfying honda...then driving a Porsche and enjoying that unique experience and then going back to your good old honda after.This place is a must try when in Chicago and wanting some plant-based chicago style food! You will not be disappointed.

Ordered pickup for my birthday and we left without our pizza. We didn't realize until we went thirty minutes away with hours to go. So it was disappointing that we didn't get to try the pizza since it was the whole reason we ordered food here. The BBQ Cheddar Burger was delicious though. Great road trip fuel!

I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich with 3 slices of pizza to go because I was rushing to catch a flight back home. This location is 20 minutes from O'Hare which is pretty convenient.The pizza was decent but the star of the show was the dessert. The Twix was heavenly. The silky chocolate and gooey caramel took me back to middle school. It was so good I literally moaned as I nibbled on it to saver the experience. The strawberry cheesecake is top tier as well. I've been eating it slowly for the past 2 days because I've never experienced a graham cracker crust, so buttery and delicious. The chicken Parmesan has a pepped bun, which was interesting, but it wasn't my favorite. I will definitely be back for dessert. Service was great and the ambiance was just as others explained. It feels like a light spooky vibe where it's Halloween all year round. Check it out.

K17 has some of the best French fries I've ever had in my life. The vegan cheese and chili are also pretty amazing. The decor and atmosphere are a lot of fun, and the employees were all kind and helpful. I'll be back!

Just had a slice of their Plant Eater deep dish pizza at the Sideshow Gelato vegan event and it was amazing! Just what I wanted and so satisfying. Friendly service from 2 who were working the booth.Looking forward to visiting in person for more deliciousness!
