Pretty good meal! I was blown away by the design and decorations of this place. Both the outside and inside are furnished so nicely; it seems like a lovely place to take photos. We came for a midday lunch on a Sunday and sat in a little corner inside. Unfortunately, it took us forever to place our order. Even though we were ready for a good 15 minutes, no one was servicing us. Finally, a waiter did come up and asked if we were being helped, but I said no. I guess the communication between staff was lacking. Anyways, I ordered the moussaka and my friend ordered the souvlakia. The wait for our food was also pretty long, even though they were not too busy that day. The moussaka was really good. It was a mix of ground beef, potatoes, eggplant, and cheese. It was SUPER heavy though. And honestly a little boring. It was very flavorful, but all of the flavors were a lot all at once, so I wish it was less overpowering. I definitely felt a little nauseous afterwords, but the cheesy crust was nice and tasty though. Impressively made! I don't think I'll seek this place out again to try, but it was a good meal nonetheless.

Been here twice and now. The bread with olive oil and vinaigrette keeps the wait bearable. The moussaka is a favorite however gets a little heavy. Definitely a huge portion and you end up having to bring home leftovers. The lamb falls off the bone--so tender. The grilled octopus is so yummy however is pricey for the portion you get. The music was really loud inside and wish it was a bit softer so conversations can be heard. Lively and beautiful interior and exterior. Great date night place.

My experience at Kipos was decent. I wasn't super impressed with the food, but the service & ambiance are great and I would maybe give the food another chance.- Platter to share with Pita: The 4 mezes we got were Melitzanosalata (Roasted Eggplant, Walnuts, Peppers, Parsley), Fava Santorini (Split Pea, Red Onions, Capers), Tirokafteri (Greek feta, Chillies, Parsley), and Skordalia (Garlic, Potatoes). Enjoyed this overall!- Saganaki (Flambéed Kefalograviera Cheese, Lemon): Flambéeing was done table side, which was fun. The cheese reminded me a little of paneer; it was good - Spanakotiropita (Spinach & Feta Phyllo Pie): Was disappointed as this dish was lacking warmth & wasn't very flavorful- Moussaka (Eggplant, Beef, Potato, Béchamel Soufflé): Good, but felt a little one-note in the richnessSuper friendly service. Ambiance is awesome, so aesthetic with indoor & outdoor seating and live music on Thurs-Sat. They are very open to accommodating large groups. 7/10 soft recommend more for the vibes.

We were out running errands and were starving! We wandered into Kipo's Greek Taverna. We are SO glad that we did. We were given the choice to eat indoors or on the patio. We chose the patio as it was a nice day and the patio is something to see. With multiple assorted tables and chairs, there are baskets of flowers as well as hanging light fixtures made of wicker. You will feel as if you have been transported to the Greek Isles and not in a mall in Chapel Hill, NC. Service was fast and efficient. I had the souvlakia and had not had it presented as it was here. The local eatery near me serves it more as a sandwich, so I was excited to have it a new way. I also had a cocktail. Mid-day cocktails are the best aren't they? You will find this gem of an eatery tucked into the corner of the Eastgate Shopping Center.

This was an unexpected treat! We went there on someone's recommendation, and had a very very nice meal. Our server was very enthusiastic and chirpy, making the experience more lively and entertaining. There was a live musicians strumming on the strings in the background. And the place was packed, a telling sign of its quality. We ordered a spanakopita, lamb chops, and a shrimp and scallop dish with orzo. Everything tasted amazing. The flavours and seasonings were all on point.I even ordered a cocktail called Violette Skies, and it tasted great too.To end our meal, we got a walnut baklava and a phyllo custard pie thing. The baklava was too sweet. A little more than my liking. And the custard thing was okay, nothing amazing. But overall, it was a delicious meal at a great restaurant with authentic vibes.

Everything is great except the portions! The service was probably my favorite part. I thought our waitress was really really funny. The ambiance is good too. It was a Friday and they had someone playing Greek music. Fun! The food was fine but I want more! The portions are the reason I'm only giving 4 stars. It's crazy to me that like $10 gets you just four little potato slices or $12 gets you four keftedes.

Delicious, filling and amazing service!Hidden away in the corner of a strip mall, its easy to miss. However once you get closer you can truly appreciate the quality of this place. They have a ton of outdoor seating, indoor bar seating and many many tables. We had a reservation for a friday night, the table was tight for 6 people close to the entrance. However the food more than made up for it .Our server was super energetic, had amazing suggestions and made us try different things.I got the fruit mocktail, pita platter lamb shank and the baklava. Others got a bunch of different things at the table, safe to say the spanakopita-pie was my absolute favorite. The ambience was just like a greek beach. They had a live singer, and music playing and it was a great night!

Our experience at Kipos was fabulous. We went on a Friday evening, and it was so busy, but we snagged two remaining seats at the bar. The hostess was very kind, and the manager had one guest move over a seat so we could sit. There was outdoor seating available too, but it was cold outside.I ordered the pastitsio, which is a Greek lasagna, and my friend ordered the moussaka. I absolutely loved the pastitsio, and I liked the moussaka as well. The food came surprisingly fast, considering how busy they were. The service was great. There was live Greek music, and there were overall fantastic vibes at this restaurant.

I wasn't impressed the first time I tried Kipos back when they first opened, decided to give it another try, still not impressed. It's too expensive to give it a third chance and not be impressed again. I was also upset that the waiter asked us if we wanted bread to go with the appetizer we ordered and had just brought out not mentioning it was a $8 up charge for a small sourdough bread that wasn't even good and the crust was too tough to eat.

If we had more time on this trip we would've come for dinner instead of lunch since it appeared to have a better menu. Still, we had a great lunch. Service was very direct. The salad was filled with fresh ingredients. Pastitsio was amazing, flavorful with a hearty meat sauce and creamy bechamel sauce. Due to the generous portion, I think we could've shared that one. And I like that it doesn't feel heavy on the stomach.
