Kingston's Caribbean Restaurant

My friend recently told me about this place especially after it went viral on social media. I came in here pretty early for lunch and at the time of ordering, I was the only one in there. I ended up getting the brown stew chicken with double rice and peas with jerk sauce on the side. I am a sucker for ordering this meal from Caribbean spots because I love the savory flavor of the brown stew with the occasional kick from the jerk sauce. Sadly, the jerk sauce had little to no spice and brown stew chicken was just okay. My rice and peas were dry and a little hard which made me REALLY sad, especially considering I got double. I think the way my friend hyped this place up, it did not live up to my expectations which is disappointing. I honestly do not know if I will try this place again but if I do I will for sure get something different. The service was great and it didn't take long at all, but I just honestly wasn't impressed by the food especially considering how hyped up this place is right now.

I was really in the mood for Jamaican food. When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked in and was greeted. I ordered the small curry chicken with rice and peas, and cabbage for $15. It took about 15 minutes. When I dug in, the food was very good and had the right amount of spice. All in all I had a good experience.

We ordered dinner from Kingston's and we're not disappointed. Healthy portions (a little on the pricey side - but everything is expensive these days) and I feel worth every penny. The jerk shrimp rasta pasta was perfectly balanced with enough spice for a kick but you could still taste the food. Having mac-n-cheese for the second time from two different places was a great way to discern good from great - and Kingston's mac-n-cheese was GREAT! I had to ask my mom if she gave them her recipe! Being so close in proximity to where we are, I'm sure I'll get to experience more in the future - and I'm looking forward to that!

New to the East Atlanta area and Kingston was the closest Caribbean restaurant opened later at night.Unfortunately, I got there too late to order the jerk egg rolls as they are made to order. I ordered two small Oxtail plates which were completely filled with a generous amount of oxtail, rice and, gravy. The Oxtail had a different but, nice taste to team. I had to remember that "Caribbean" isn't limited to a Jamaican taste and style. Either way, the food was delicious and I'll be back to try more Menu items

Social media will really have you trying all these places!!This place though holds true to their reviews. The food was really good. More of a delivery and takeout establishment though the service was really great. As a person who doesn't really know Jamaican food the people were really nice explaining everything. Definitely will be going back when I'm in the city.

In fairness, I've only ordered takeout from this establishment, but their food is PHENOMENAL. I lived in Crown Heights in Brooklyn in the West Indian section, and I am no stranger to Caribbean food; we're well acquainted. I wish more people were.This place ranks with the best of them. Their Jerk Chicken pasta is a HUGE portion, beyond flavorful, with plenty of vegetables and chicken to go around. Definitely black pepper forward and I'm obsessed. I'm not a small guy and it's a 2-meal proposition. For the price, this makes sense and I love it.Curry pasta and oxtails are also on-point. Food arrives hot and on-time.5/5 my go-to for Caribbean food in east ATL. You got a loyalist in me.

Food was delicious, great portions. Long line but it moved fast and was worth it . Enjoy the freshness of my food. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town .

I finally got the oxtail sandwich. It's a meal within itself. OMG I seldom review a restaurant twice they deserve it delicious!

My daughters located this restaurant from food stalker IG account. We took the 49 min drive and it was worth the drive & wait. Samantha provided exceptional client services & my kids enjoyed everything.Oxtails Eggrolls and the oxtail patties were delicious & fulfilling. Oxtail, curry and brown stew lunch combo's we highly recommend. My eldest daughter enjoyed the honey hot wings (small portion) as well:Helpful information: oxtail patties are available after 1PM. After ordering, our food took about 12-15 minutes. Not bad because the line was out the door.

This food is delicious but my order took THREE HOURS. I ordered over a 150.00 worth of dinners on Uber eats, 2.5 drivers later my food still wasn't ready. They tried to reach me to say one appetizer wasn't available and I missed the call so now it's my fault that it took THREE HOURS to get it. I coulda flown to Jamaica and had this meal by the beach. SMH.
