King Garden

King Garden is highly recommended for local chinese food in N. Wilmington. The kitchen and owners are very clean. The owner also listens and does her best accommodate for food allergies. Their vegetables and meats (especially the shrimp, chicken & pork) are always fresh. Only one time did we get some broccoli that was subpar, and when we brought it back to show them they quickly apologized and gladly provided a credit for our next takeout. I didn't need a special receipt or anything, the owner wife remembered us the next time we came in. Tina knows her regular customers! Parking is the only negative aspect to this great restaurant. Navigating in and out of that parking area with a Wawa on one side and a very popular Italian restaurant on the other side is often a challenge especially at peak hours or on weekends. King Garden has two designated spaces allotted to their restaurant and most times you can find one available. If you can, back in to make exiting much easier & safer.

This is my local to go for a fast food Chinese take out spot. Food has always been consistent and pretty good. Simple and to the point. Even when you call in and order the lady taking the order is very quick and to the point. Reminds of Seinfeld's "soup nazi" but she is very nice. Affordable and pretty good.

I'm giving 4 stars for my own category called "inexpensive/cheap Chinese food delivered." King Garden fits the bill & was a very pleasant surprise after various shots-in-the-dark of grease laden, uninspired dreck that passes for Chinese take-out lately. The beef with broccoli was tender and fresh, the beef cooked to an appetizing medium, the broccoli al dente but not too crisp, and the brown gravy/sauce was actually tasty; they made an effort here and it was noticed. The shrimp egg foo young was quite good, again less grease/oil than I expected, and it passed the leftover, day 2 test with flying colors. Clearly the ingredients are fresh if the leftovers still hold up the next day. The crab Rangoon was tasty, but needed more crab. By the way, make sure you specify size on the Rangoon, we ended up with a large and it must have been 20 pieces or more! The delivery was courteous and prompt, and the woman who took our phone order was pleasant. Now that we found decent, tasty, inexpensive Chinese food, we are going to stick with King Garden on Philly Pike.

While in the area i stopped in for a quick lunch special. Not bad at all, general tso's chicken and rice and can of soda for $5 bux is a special to me each day!Not a problem at all!Food is decent place appears clean while i was waiting for it....go and enjoy yourself!

No matter what time of the day, their rice always seems mixed with old rice. Taste isn't there. Can't see how fried chicken gets jacked at a chinese restaurant. There's just no where close enough. I am so done with this place. I always end up noxious hoping for a better result... I'll pass from here on out after a full year of trying to like it becuase it's close n easy.

I tried every single chinese restaurant in the Philadelphia Pike area, and hands down this one is the best!Love the food, awesome staff, it's a clean restaurant and prices are more than reasonable.General Tsos is the best!!!

The food was pretty good. It was delivered faster then I was originally told. It has a varied menu.

I ordered an egg roll early afternoon yesterday. Unbeknownst to me, I had left my wallet. That evening, the owner drove all the way to my home to give me back my wallet. Nothing was missing! Me and my family's are very grateful for their honesty, which is really rare in this world today. They really went above and beyond. Not only a good restaurant but great people as well!

It's a bad sign when a Chinese place can't make a decent egg roll. The food is edible.
