Where to even begin... Patrick was the most delightful server by whom I've ever had the pleasure of being served. Knowledgeable, gave great suggestions, and sold the melon margarita like an absolute cocktail champion. My gorgeous friend Kate and I split the Mycopolitan mushroom fondue with poached egg and sourdough croutons to start. This was a hearty, meaty (but veggie) dish that reminded me of a warm nuzzle on a cool autumn night. We were gifted pork ribs by the owner for absolutely no reason at all. I ate them with my hands. The barbecue sauce was crafted with figs from a regular's garden. We talked about the barbecue sauce for approximately six minutes total. Up next was the Fusilli alla norma with charred eggplant, smoked garlic paste, basil pesto, and breadcrumbs. This was like Nona made. A nice extension of the mushroon fondue. The eggplant was charred to a crispy perfection. The Basil ravioli with smoked peach gastrique, brown butter, and popcorn dust looked like a science experiment and tasted like heaven. We can't wait to return. Thank you, Kiddo.

Vegetarian perspectiveFood: Amazing food selection for vegetarians, with a menu highlighting seasonal fresh produce. Split a lot of dishes with my friend. I think the basil peach ravioli was our favorite. And the focaccia bread they brought once we ordered.Drinks: i got a passion fruit cocktail that was perfect for summer. Great selection of non alcoholic drinks too, my friend really enjoyed hers and it was presented in a way that looked like a fancy cocktail.Service: above and beyond service. From the moment I got there everyone was just so amazing.

After two visits to Kiddo, I can confidently say this is a great, trendy place to bring both out of town friends or your partner for a nice date night. The menu changes even week to week based on seasonal produce (even the flavor of jam accompanying the goat cheese fritters was different across my 2 visits!) I personally enjoyed the food during my March 2024 visit more than my July 2024 visit. The bucatini I had in March was unreal, and the pork was not as salty as the version I had in July. Overall, what I would order again are the goat cheese fritters, the duck breast, the bucatini, and the pork. The variation in the menu certainly keeps you on your toes but is an amazing way to try out amazing, inventive, vegetable forward dishes. The noise levels in the back / main dining room can get a bit loud during peak hours but the great service and food more than makes up for it. I look forward to coming back and hope to try their dessert and brunch selection next time!

Loved dining in Kiddo's corner restaurant in Midtown! With friendly, timely service, delicious food, and a more-relaxed atmosphere due to the city emptying out for Memorial Day weekend, we greatly enjoyed a relaxed brunch experience.Definitely recommend ordering the buttermilk biscuits with apricot jam (4 to an order), which we devoured too quickly to photograph. Our foursome ordered, and enjoyed:- The daily special omelet,- The omelet with spinach, lion's mane mushrooms, goat cheese, spring salad,- The Duroc breakfast sausage with poached eggs, fermented pepper sauce, house potatoes, arugula salad, and- Sourdough English muffin with mushrooms, caramelized onions, salsa verde, sunny-side up egg, house potatoes.along with an Americano coffee and blood mary's!

Another amazing culinary experience in Philly at Kiddo. Our son, now a Philly resident for the last four years, selected it. Kiddo was in a quaint, homey setting with a bar at the entrance and then an adjacent dining room area. The dining room was a bit noisy but we could still hear each other fine. It appeared to have a neighborhood crowd and there was great eclectic art work on the walls. We had impeccable service. Our waitress was helpful in making some selections and our food come out quickly, with every course spaced out perfectly. We started with the goat cheese fritters and the cheese plate. There were 5 fritters sitting in a delicious blueberry jam. When we bit into them, the goat cheese just melted into our mouths. The cheese plate had 4 slices of a delicious toasted bread, and I especially loved the black truffle cheese and pickled onions. They gave us the leek snack dish as an added bonus! We split the Kennett Square mushroom fondue which was delicious with the restaurants's amazing homemade bread, the malfadine pasta with asparagus, (the crunchiness of the walnuts in it was SO good), the Egyptian spring onion crespelle with ricotta salsa verde and the duck breast. The duck breast was cooked perfectly and we loved the side salad with farro that it came with. We ended with a plate of four cookies: a snickerdoodle, a strawberry shortbread cookie, a sugar cookie with grapefruit icing and a double chocolate cookie. They were delicious but we were partial to the snickerdoodle cookie and the sugar cookie with grapefruit icing. We were all satisfied with the amount of food we ate without feeling overly full. We loved the atmosphere of Kiddo. We had fast and courteous service and the meal was simply amazing!!

We were party of 7, and decided to try the Brunch menu, after having been here for a fantastic dinner previously. The brunch menu had some interesting pairings of ingredients, and all sounded great. Not being able to decide, we actually just ordered the entire menu of large plates and a few of the smaller plates. (See their menu in the photos). Well, when the food arrived, which looked extremely appetizing, we knew that we had made the right decision. Every plate has its own character, and the flavors were all great. The ingredients again, were obviously farm fresh with the eggs exhibiting a wonderful orange colored yoke. Again the goat cheese fritters were exceptional with a melt in your mouth texture. The ambiance is relaxed! Service was great, and yes we will be back!

Get a sitter for the kiddos and head over here asap! This new restaurant in the old Pinefish space is the perfect place for a date, girls night, group hang, and you could even bring your parents here. It's a small menu and vegetable forward, but there were 2 meat entrees when we were there and the duck was excellent. They have a small drinks menu and I really appreciated that they had a non-alcoholic section- love a shrub mocktail with all the fixings, makes a girl feel special! We got a snack (brussels), salad (chicory), pasta (lumaconi-like a fancy mac and cheese), and the duck (perfectly cooked) and we barely had room for dessert (so we got one to go and split the zeppoli). Service was great and all the food we got was delicious, interesting, and beautifully presented, but not pretentious. The soundtrack was on point, immaculate vibes, I'm not kiddoing when I say this is my new favorite spot to recommend to people!

Kiddo has taken over the location of the old Pinefish. Outside a similar layout, you'd probably wouldn't make any connection as they have done an amazing job renovating. Now I do miss Pinefish, however, Kiddo should do well.First, cocktails. I loved walking in and passed their bar with the exposed brick. Maybe being seated at the bar wouldn't be such a bad thing. I'm not normally one to rave about a vodka drink, however, did very much enjoy the Foot Traffic. As for food, you can probably get away with a pasta and main or a pasta and a few apps. Their mushroom fondue was a great way to start things off. Then came the Pork Chop, which was very filling. The menu is on the smaller side, but there is no shortage of quality.I believe they rotate the dessert menu, so not sure how my ranking of the Pear dessert (very good) will influence your selection. Needless to say, they have some decent desserts for you to take your pick.Overall, IMO, you should check out Kiddo. Reservation recommended.

Came with a large party of 7 and did the pre-fixe event menu. The service was quick and well paced, but we didn't feel rushed! I loved the veggie forward menu--any dish with mushrooms was a highlight for me. They brought out an appropriate amount of food for everyone so we were full but not overly stuffed. I especially love the rhubarb shrub (non alcoholic drink). The desserts weren't my cup of tea but others at the table really loved them. All in all, would definitely recommend!

Kiddo has been on my list to check out for some time now, and it was a wonderful experience. Nice ambiance and some excellent drinks/small plate. My experience at the bar was great and I hope to return soon to experience a full meal.
