Kendall House of Pizza

As many prior reviews have indicated, this is an old school sub shop.It's nice inside and it's clean - but it's not fancy.If you're looking for fancy, look elsewhere.This is a perfect place for a quick lunch.The staff are friendly and welcoming and I've never had a late or poor quality order. Portions are generous and they don't skimp on content or toppings.I love this little corner place and I make a visit at least once a week for lunch.I'll continue to do so for as long as I'm working in Cambridge.

go here for lunch during work every once in a while. no issues, fast paced, friendly. One of the better tasting and quality foods for a house of pizza. underrated

I was working down the street and walked by and gave it a shot. Glad I did. Greek wrap with grilled chicken was outstanding Ingredients were fresh, was not drenched in dressing, and chicken was cooked perfectly

We get delivery from KHOP every now and then. The pizza is surprisingly good. The wings are good too but they are tiny sized. If you want real wings, go a few blocks over to Beauty's Pizza. Their wings are much larger sized and are more satisfying. Today I got the large box of wings and a large fish sub. The wings are small and about ten come in a box. The fish sub is good but the amount of fish you get is about half of what I'd like. My entire team got fish subs and others commented on the same lack of fish. Too much bread and toppings and too little fish. Tasty though. Another thing about KHOP is that this is a small family run business. We've ordered catering from them and they were very nice and worked with us on the package and pricing. This was when I discovered their pizza. I normally only get subs and wings. Kendall House of Pizza feels like a slice of childhood for this Boston-bred eater.I've only ever eaten the subs here, and they are fine. Nothing fancy, just straight-up meat and veg on a sub roll. They'll toast it for you if you want. I come here when I want a straightforward and slightly nostalgic lunch, having grown up with just this sort of no-bullshit sandwich.This is an old-school neighborhood pizza shop, and is decorated accordingly. I like having lunch on a schoolroom chair surrounded by wood paneling and construction workers on break, local news droning on the tv in the corner.Finally, the people here are really nice.

Good decent pizza. We always order from this place when we have pizza lunches at work. They are good at delivering to the workplace on time and usually remember to bring plates.

I ordered a pizza at 5:30 pm online on a Friday evening. Nothing on the sliceoflife.com application indicated that they were closed. I walked to the pizza shop only to find they were closed. I called Monday AM and spoke with the apparent owner and explained my issue. He said he would cancel my order. This was at the end of November. No credit came through my card. I called him back today. He claimed he didn't speak with me and told me I had to work it out with slice. I called them and they told me that I ordered the pizza for the following monday morning - I did not. The tele-agent at slice told me that they would not refund my money. I will not be doing business with this pizza shop again or with slice.com and I urge you to beware of these rip-offs.

The classic "wish sandwich " - two pieces of bread and you wish there was meat inside . It's a Tuesday noon , old schoolEthnic family running a pizza shop . Been going to these places for 50 years . Large Italian and a 20 oz soda $18 . Sandwich would blow away in mild wind . My fault for forgetting my lunch at home and for being in Cambridge in the first place . If your going to charge $15 bucks for a grinder at least put some meat on it . W

The manager is very rude and ill mannered. We will not go back because of poor service. I had an ordering issue and had such an unpleasant experience following up with them. No sense of kindness to customers. They like to blame the customer.

I think one must rate restaurants in their category. On food alone, would I rather eat at O Ya than here? Sure. But nobody walks into a place like Kendall House of Pizza expecting gourmet sushi.It's a corner pizza place, and in the category of corner pizza places it's great. I judge restaurants like this on the tomatoes that go on a sandwich. Well, here I am in mid-January and I got some nice, juicy, red tomatoes. Not mealy tomatoes. Not green or white tomatoes. Not sad tomatoes.To me, this suggests that the restaurant understands what quality is, and they're willing to pay for it. Ban sad tomatoes.
